The 2023 Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo Is An Overachieving Electric Sport Wagon

  • The #PorscheTaycan has been a huge hit with Porsche since it came out back in 2020. Driving more like an electric Porsche 911, rather than a mundane electric appliance, this model has been a huge sales success around the world. For 2023, the #Taycan is getting its first update in the form of a new infotainment software and faster DC fast charging. We also spend some time in the more practical #TaycanCrossTurismo in the base version and its still a very good electric sport wagon that just happens to ride a bit higher than the sedan.

Want an EV that doesn't drive like an electric appliance? Look no further than the Taycan family. It gets some updates for 2023 and we finally get behind the wheel of this very lightly optioned base Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. Yes, its still slightly over $100,000, but all of the goodness from the very expensive Taycan GTS and Turbo models are evident here.

I love these cars and excited to see Porsche going all electric but their price points are out of control. How can the above average income person and or even someone making $250-300k per year afford this car? Even the base model with a few options is over $100k. Feels like most people and even those in the upper middle class are getting priced out of the electric and hybrid markets. Average car now costs $50k and that barely gets you a Kia.

I have to admit that I would need a large shoehorn to get me into this vehicle and the “jaws of life” to get me out but the driving experience would probably be second to none. Great review, always the best, most detailed reviews in the industry.

Superlatively informative video as all yours are Sofyan - and why I have subscribed to your channel a long time. Love your enthusiasm for sports cars, which you bring to and share with us. Well done again!

Great Video. One of the best I've seen. You did a great job on the details. I like the Turismo. My brother has a 4S taycan and I'm debating between the 4S and the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo

Power steering column adjustment is missing in your test review vehicle because of parts shortages in Europe, that's one of the small handful of options that have been sacrificed in some customer cars just to move them out of the factory and deliver into customer hands. I believe it can be retrofitted at dealership later

I absolutely love the Taycan. However, that grey interior looks so cheap and reminds me of older Kia/Hyundias. The rest of the Cross Turismo is quite nice. If I were buying one, I would definitely go with the nicer interior colors and textures. Great video.

$110k and manual tilt/tele steering wheel? Your usual excellent thorough review.
