Electronic Audio Experiments - Prismatic Wall // Full Demo

- From EAE, Prismatic Wall is something that's likely to be new to most folks in the pedal world. It's a sympathetic resonator, containing banks of digital "strings" that dynamically resonate along with your playing-truly unique and at times extremely weird, but I find it incredibly inspiring and fun to play. Check it out, because it's best left to speak for itself.
*Big thanks to EAE for sending this pedal over*

I was not expecting this from EAE, just goes to show how talented they are. Not to mention the incredible demo you put together
Incredible job as always
This is the demo I was waiting for.
Dude! This is stellar. Amazing work.
Fantastic demo dude, sounds absolutely awesome!
Best demo so far on this seemingly magnificent pedal! Thx!!!
Always blow away with your approach to more eccentric effects! Prismatic Wall sounds excellent across all examples!
Such a good demo, as always. The way you just know how to make these pedals sound their best. You obviously have just as much talent as the top pedal builders, just in demoing them and selling units, basically. Thanks for helping me decide which pedals to invest in so I don't throw my money away.
Yeah the guys at EAE and John of course got something special for sure. In my opinion they put out pedals that truly are something different on the market. Not just another iteration of ringer, lo-fi, old tape, ambient, bit crushing, if you have one you have them all kind of pedal. It's like they do what Apple did with the iPhone back in 07. What's better is John is super open and transparent with what's going on in the world of EAE. He's chill and shows how much he is truly devoted to the world of pedals and music by giving us these lovely breaths of fresh air in an industry that can just copy paste at times. EAE pedals are a never resale item for me, no matter how much.
Amazing new pedal from the GOAT builder and video from the GOAT demo channel. So much incredible stuff going on in this! 🔥
Your demos always make me want to grab my guitar and play, man. Love it.
I just bought Fable and Lore and after seeing your demo I just ordered this. Excellent display of the pedals potential.
Only halfway through the video and already in awe of the genius.
Wow!
This is an incredible pedal. Wow. So many amazing textures waiting for discovery. Big congratulations to EAE for this beauty. 🎉 It’ll be a classic, no doubt. ❤ Absolutely magical demo.
Dude, your riffs and mixes are so awesome. The community is super lucky/blessed to have you.
I jokingly commented about a stereo version for a drum buss, but you did a great job of utilizing it here with GGD. Makes me think of like a hyper-tunable plate style reverb.
Cheers!
Stellar work all around.
Aaaaaannnd, I subbed... Great vid. I think this is going on the buy list.
Just ordered one of these, your excellent presentation helps me stop second-guessing myself :)
loved the bass sound on the intro track ❤
Great video. I think i might have to snag one of these
This is a crazy pedal good job to EAE
sounds SO good.
Amazing intro track, and some of the best - and the most actually useful - sounds I've heard yet for this pedal. The random modulation section at 7:50 - beautiful! The morph setup at 9:15 - so good! The electric piano and ambient sections - truly useful and not just weird'n'wacky. Thank you!
thank you! It's a weird pedal for sure but there are definitely some very practical ways to use it in more "conventional" music
Super cool. I am a little shocked they didn't release it as a stereo in and out pedal; imagine it would fit on a keys/synth pedal board moreso than a guitarists.
Nice to see something a bit different in the pedal world. If anyone else messes about with modular (I just use software called VCV), there's an iconic Eurorack module called Rings, which uses the same principle as this. I find it can sound a bit harsh processing guitar, and works best if you send it pitch info so it's not just resonating at the same frequency all the time. Not sure if this has CV or MIDI input, watched on my phone and couldn't read the text but it's fun to play and get random notes resonating if that's possible.
it does take MIDI or CV! Super cool to send MIDI notes to follow chord progressions or create other melodies which is what I was doing in the drum segment here
@@ambienttrash5234 thanks, I'll watch that part again.
@ambienttrash, wow your guitar sound is superb!!! i already downloaded your IR´s, thanks alot! Could you tell me how you signalchain is? I also own the cali suite plugin. Did you just go into the pedal then into the interface into cali? Cheers
@@everychild9473 yup, I recorded my loops direct and then just reamped them through Prismatic Wall, back into my interface and into the Fortin Cali suite
What guitar is that? Didn't see it in the description..
from another comment he said
"Intro is my Balaguer Ambient Espada, the rest is my Harmony Silhouett"
Wow. What is this guitar yr using? It's beautiful just like the sounds yr making
Intro is my Balaguer Ambient Espada, the rest is my Harmony Silhouette
I NEEEED this pedal and it's all sold out everywhere :(
EAE has such cool pedals. At some point I need to get some of their stuff. Where’d you find that drum loop at 10:10? It reminded me of the butthole surfers and ween. All those weirder 90s bands. I love it.
It’s from EZ Drummer’s stock MIDI loops, I think under Halftime Rock
Reminds me of NI guitar rig’s Resochord
Brian Eno would like this one
Awesome demo. Which drum program is that? Sorry if that's a dumb question
Get good Drums! It looks like that one is the Modern and Massive set
@@FeelsLikeSunshine Awesome thanks!👍
Jeez. What to buy, this or artifakt
Who makes that beautiful guitar?
What was the guitar you used in the opening?
Is this doing anything like what the Boss Multi Overtone does?
Sort of a similar idea, but it doesn't automatically track your pitch and add overtones to it like the MO-2 does, which to me kind of comes across as something between an octave and a synth voice.
It's more like having a piano or a stringed instrument in the room with you, and you can tune that other "instrument" to a specific pitch so that particular notes make it resonate as you play. Kind of tough to explain but hopefully that makes sense
@@ambienttrash5234 what a great reply. Thanks!
Not sure if this is a whole new pedal... although it's cool... A lot of pedals had a "filter matrix" function and the Lastgasp Misty Cave sort of made it it's whole thing... This is definitely the most control anything has had for such sounds tho...
If I recall, John at EAE is a fan of the Misty Cave and would be more able to compare/contrast
Misty Cave was absolutely a gateway to this kind of sound. I love that pedal! I'm not sure if LAL intentionally went for a physical modeling synthesis approach, but the underlying mechanism of a parked flanger is essentially a single karplus-strong resonator. I ended up going way deeper into the concepts in order to make this one happen, especially as an analog/digital hybrid.
@@electronicaudioexperiments Love that, I've been hunting down versions of that effect for years now... Hopefully I can try yours soon!
JUST WOW.
