This is the kind of fragrance content I actually enjoy. A normal person giving their honest opinion. I’m sick big influencers regurgitating the same phrases with the same couple fragrances that were given to them for free or were paid to “review”. Essentially a paid advertisement.

Creed Green Irish Tweed 5. Prada L'Homme & Tom Ford Grey Vetiver 6. Tom Ford Black Orchid 7. Tom Ford Noir Extreme 8. Xerjoff 1861 Naxos 9. Prada Amber Pour Homme
I came across your video few days ago about fragrance addiction and how to control it. Posted it in one of the groups in the fragcom Philippines because that video is just really good. I think that one of the reason why you're gaining followers really fast is the you explain things in a simple but direct way. You're not loud and annoying as well. Keep it up bro! Hope your channel blows up soon!
That one has brought me in too, it was indeed very helpful, and eye opening in a way. I was able to reorganize my collection after it, and get rid of some stuff I never used.
Mannn, really appreciate you keeping it honest on this channel. Please continue the fragrance vids cause there aren’t many real people out here on YT anymore. Love the channel bro, really good stuff
I hit subscribed because your content is unique, raw, and honest. Boy you did not even edit your videos, that’s how good you are with public speaking. A lot of viewers connected. I started my fragrance collection recently and make a goal to have 100 bottles before end of year. After watching your previous video, I reevaluated that goal of mine and now I only want to build my Ultimate Top 20. Thank you for sharing your journey,
I was waiting for a not-overstimulating channel, calmly talking about fragrances, not as a cash grab but as a hobby and with real dedicataion. Glad that I‘ve found your‘s. Cheers
I love how you share valuable advice & the uncomfortable truths one comes to realize after having spent years in the fragrance-collecting world - there's no other channel out there that has your level of authenticity, honesty and sincerity. Having spent thousands being passionate about fragrances myself, this is invaluable content for everyone who starts out and eagerly explores what's out there - instead of shilling dozens of fragrance alternatives for each possible season & scenario (which leads to constantly striving for seemingly 'better' fragrances, never being satisfied and not properly enjoying the fragrances you own - and even almost sort of 'competitive' fragrance-wearing like here in Germany with ppl trying to one-up each other by wearing the most exclusive fragrances in bigger cities), you give the important advice that everyone needs to hear, especially to those who just start out, who got bitten by the fragrance-bug and start their personal collection. You're the type who'd do amazing business opening a fragrance boutique with your expertise and honesty - and being in Australia many times in the year myself, Australia is in dire need of decent perfumeries beyond David Jones, Mecca & Libertine.
@@hey.alexedwards Thanks for your content! Regarding you sharing your honest thoughts & experience in fragrance collecting, I'd be curious to hear your opinion about topics such as appeal & likeability, but also quality & blending of designer vs. niche fragrances - and the decreasing marginal benefit of spending more on one fragrance - with regards to top of the line brands like Roja & Clive Christian :)
Love your presentation style. Right to the point and you share a bit of yourself as well which makes it relatable to me -- like you're a real person and not a promoter (as you stated!). You asked for favorites. Well I have to mention Gucci Nobile as my first favorite because I wore it many years ago (in the '80s, before internet), then ran out and couldn't find it. Fast forward to 2024 and I found it on eBay (ugh!), and despite the high cost and risk, I bought a bottle. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. It is EXACTLY the way I recalled it....just simply gorgeous and I love how it makes me feel when I wear it. Well worth the extra cost. For other scents I buy backup bottles because I'm afraid of reformulations ruining the scent-but only for favorites. I'll list only a few so as not to bore you! They are Dior Homme Intense (surprised? hehe), Guerlain Santal Royal (lovely sandalwood & rose & oud), Dior Santal Noir, Dior Sauvage Elixir (though its strong, can't get enough of the spiciness), Nasomatto Pardon (a chocolate-y, oudy sandalwood LOVE it!). I just bought a sample of Naxos and I LOVE it - bottle should be here tomorrow). I haven't tried Gris Charnel, but the notes seem to be something I'd like. May check it out sometime -- I'll buy it only if I LOVE it! Thanks for the genuineness!
Thank you for sharing your favourites, and for the kind words. I appreciate you watching. As for Gris Charnel Extrait, I originally tested the EDP and whilst I love it, I was absolutely captivated by the dark smokiness of the Extrait. The EDP is softer, 90% the same, but less masculine and more subdued.
Ive collected close to 100 fragrances in my "Scent journey".(too many). I have a lot of clones, designers and a few "somewhat affordable niche", but Im ALWAYS looking for more inexpensive/high quality frags. When I first smelled Black Orchis edp at the mall, that Patchouli blast made me fall IN LOVE. Stunning fragrance and so my "frugal sensibilities " just went out the window and so I paid full retail right on the spot and purchased it. The awesome scent and AMAZING performance made it very well worth it!
Great video, always good to see what after shaves other people enjoy. I love the Prada scents you mention. The Naxos sounds really good and I’m going to try that out along with the Grey Vetiver. I really like are Scandal by Jean Paul Gautier and Incense’s Ouarzazate (which is really different). Noted Aromas’ is a really affordable way to get some beautiful (similar to very expensive) fragrances, their Prague and Portofino scents are particularly lovely. Zara also seem to do a really good and increasingly large range of really nice after shaves their Tobacco and For Him Red Edition are really good. One of my favourite ever was a really affordable, River Island’s ‘Fresh Vetiver’ , I don’t think they sell it now but it smelled beautiful though didn’t last very long.
Just want to say thank you for your first video. Very honest and I was thinking of becoming fragrances critique. But you made me open my eyes and consider!
I used to think my Hermes was fake. Thank god you mention it's 30 mins lasting. No wonder it does not last. BDK is sold out from my source. Good video so far.
I really like that you explain the places and settings you wear your fragrances in, and that they're your actual experiences and not made up scenarios because that is very helpful. I'm 2/3 years into fragrances and I've only now managed to categorise my fragrances into the settings and scenarios I actually have, and I now don't buy or seek out fragrances that don't suit my actual lifestyle, even if they do smell good. I don't think our tastes are the same but I'll always watch and have subscribed!
@@hey.alexedwards If I had to do a similar 10 Frags for Life as this video, I'd say Bois Imperial, Prada Amber Pour Homme and Wake Up World as work/meeting appropriate frags for most weather, Tygar, Pikovaya Dama, Lamar and Hard Candy as spring/summer casual or fun dailies, and for autumn/winter/dates/"sexy", Vanilla Diorama, OFG and Starlight by Xerjoff
Black Orchid, exactly the same reasons I have it and my Mrs' bought mine. My forever fragrance - Chanel Pour Monsieur edt. That edit you did on scaling things back was really important by the way. I think fragrance is something everyone can put their own stamp on - take home message being, put the groundwork in and choose wisely. If everyone buys everything, then we'll all smell the same! Keep up the thoughtful content, and don't have all these comments lead you back into buying 😉
Interesting choices man. Love the laidback style of your videos so I subscribed 😎 If you are curious about few fragrances I have for life (and if you want to try them), here are few: -MDCI Le Barbier de Tanger (I'm on my third bottle in 4 years) -Roja Vetiver Cologne. This is very similar than TF Grey Vetiver but more citrusy (I'm on my second bottle) -Histories de Parfums 1828 (I just finished my 120ml bottle and will get another one for sure) -And probably my fav of all time, Creed Bois du Portugal. Yeah I'm old school 🥸 and this fragrance will always be with me. Enjoy and keep up the simple life 👌
Pretty amazing 10 right there 👌👍 Its such a hard list to make but I'll give it a shot (from what I own) : 1) Kilian - Straight To Heaven Extreme 2) Guerlain - Tonka Imperiale 3) Nasomatto - Baraonda 4) Marc Antoine Barrois - Ganymede 5) Serge Lutens - Chergui 6) Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille 7) PDM - Habdan 8) Dior Homme Intense 9) Penhaligon's - Sartorial 10) Prada L'homme Intense / Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense Keep the videos coming 👍
Excellent video. Absolutely love Naxos myself and I would dare to call it a beast mode fragrance because on me it lasts all day with just a few sprays. Totally worth the price.
Great to see you again! You just mentioned 1 of the fragrances that I've set to be my top 10 - Black Orchid - man i just love it so much so dark, rich and as you said "provocative". I love that intoxicating dark unissex Aura. About naxos I also agree with you, I've tried it on last Sunday and sprayed it on my wrist where it caught a bit of my jacket sleeve and it still smells today. And it's not like "oh there was a fragrance here", you can clearly and loudly perceive the Scent profile of how strong it still sits, unbelievable tbh. Guess skin chemistry may play a heavy role on this one. Thanks for the video again :)
By far the best channel start quality wise i've seen. Your videos are a breath of fresh (a little bergamot, citruicy and pachouli with aquatic notes) air in the all-for-the-hype youtubers craze. Hope you can grow enough while being as honest as you look in these videos. 💪
I am liking your content a lot. I also have around 40-41 fragrances in my collection (and trying to keep it that way). Naxos is currently my favorite fragrance, and I cannot understand how people don't like it!
I have about 30 full bottles and quite a few samples. My bottle with the biggest dent is Versace Pour Homme. It's fresh, clean, and makes me happy every time I spray it on.
Nice Content Buddy, very very Organic and such a natural feeling when you talking, this is great. Im living in Dominican Republic, im a personal collector and before a years ago, i had more than 100 frags, now only have 58 but if i only need to choose 10, its difficult to me but probably Id choose 1- Russian Oud II Areej le Dore 2- Pikovaya Dama Xerjoff 3- Sahraa Oud Fragrance du Bois 4- Cypress Clive Christian 5- Promise Frederic Malle 6- Fars Xerjoff 7- Zek Necalli 8- Jump up and kiss me Clive Christian 9- Royal Oud Arabian Oud 10- Sublimizia Bruno Perucci
Wow, it's a bold statement committing to a fragrance for life. Taste changes through the years. I wore fragrances for years, as a signature scent, that I grew tired of. Btw, we share only one perfume - Naxos. If I am to try and come up with such a commitment, I'd say my fragrances broadly fall into 3 categories : those I admire and believe will admire for the rest of my life, those that I personally just like (as opposed to admire) but are a compliment monster for me (and thus, will most likely always buy ), and those I very much like today but will most likely grow tired of sometime in the future. Those I'll admire (probably forever) : Tuscan Leather(/Godolphin), Ombre Leather, Oud wood, Richwood, Bracken Man, Ambre Narguile, Accord Oud, Sandalo by Lorenso Villoresi. The compliment monsters : Carlisle, Neroli Portofino Forte, Pikovaya Dama. Those I love today : Naxos, 1888, Regio, Grey Vetiver, Side Effect. There is one exception to all of the above - I use Dior Eau Sauvage (not to be mistaken with Sauvage) as my default after-shave, for many many years, whenever I don't feel like wearing anything else.
... Yes! Tom Ford Noir Extreme is incredible!!!😊 One of my 10 for life too! The only one in the list for me (but Prada L'home Intense is, instead of the original L'home, and Pure Havane instead of Naxos). Thank you for the video. Happy New Year and more and more subscriptions ahead.❤
I love where you’ve gone with the last few videos. I have been a fragrance collector for long enough that I have an over abundance of choices on my shelves. I’ve started pulling a small selection of 20 or so bottles for a seasonal rotation so it’s not such a big deal choosing what to wear. You and I seem to like similar fragrances! GIT, NAXOS, Givenchy Gentleman Reserve, TF Black Orchid, and Grey Vetiver are some of my favorites! I actually like Citron Noir far better than Orange Verte, and Dior Homme Parfum better than Dior Homme Intense. One that has turned into a signature scent for me is - Closeup by Olfactive Studios. I can’t go without that one.
I thought you were heading for the Fragrance influencer path since the "Fragrance Addiction" video. But you have debunked me right away in the very first minute of this video. Thank you for keeping it real and not hyping fragrances. I am glad to have come across that video a couple days ago!
Thanks for watching! The last thing I want to do is become another fragrance influencer. I love fragrances and certainly want to talk about them, but I don't want to be someone else's salesman, pushing subscribers to buy stuff.
Hi Alex, really impressed with your very new channel, it seems like you have been doing this for years! I also really enjoy your calm and relaxing voice, long intros, personal stories and no influencing 😁
For the video where you talk about the fragrance dependency or compulsive buying and now you say you do not encourage buying these, I say thank you and I Subscribed. Thanks!
Congratulations on gaining over $1000 subscribers! I didn't realise your channel was new either. You're killing it, well done. Gris Charnel & Grey Vetiver are 2 faves from your list. My personal top 3 are Amouage Sunshine Woman, Electimus Trajan & Byredo Bal D'Afrique (or Attar Collection Al Rayhan as an alternative to Bal D'Afrique). .
I'm glad you highlighted Tom Ford and their reformulations and batch discrepancies which is a direct result of Tom Ford Beauty being acquired by Estee Lauder. Many of the private blend fragrances are now discontinued or severely reformulated, everything in the Signature Collection was changed, Orchid, Grey, and Ombre lines were cut or reformulated severely and EL increased the prices of everything dramatically.
I wear Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Priveé and Prada L’Homme for the exact same reasons s you. A party/ date fragrance that is also a bit ”gothic” is Noir De Noir by Tom Ford. My more grumpy, moody , also slightly ”gothic” , ones are Oud Minérale, also Tom Ford, and Encre Noire by Lalique. If you want green and boneyard that last one is spot on…and wierdly, very affordable. Those last ones are my cold and rainy fragrances.
Hello Alex, regards from the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. I do appreciate the candid way you are sharing your way of life, something that can really resonates and bless many of us in a special way. Way to go Sir, thanks. It looks like we have similar taste for fragrances. I love most of the fragrances you have shared here and have some of them like, BDK Gris Charnel, Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Prive, Dior Homme Intense, Prada L’Homme, Tom Ford Black Orchid. I also have tried the others and liked them, but they are on my wish list.
I like your content because you are real. No flash, just engaging chat and your opinion which many people probably agree with. Keep it up! Forget the popular opinion - I frankly don't care to hear about Sauvage and YSL Myself and Aventus AGAIN! lol (I write this before watching the vid, i hope i dont embarass myself)
Love the content where it feels like honest reviews. Lol my wife hates all my scents minus PDM haltane so that'll never leave. But I dig the scent for diff scenarios which is how decide to keep perfumes. Also try to keep between 10-13 frags.
Hi! I loved the video!❤ My categories are: 1. Date Night 2. Personal: 1 year round and 1 for warm weather 3. Everyday use: 1 year round and 1 for warm wheater 4.Gym/Fresh out of the shower My favorite for high heat is Infusao Botanica from Granado, but it lasts 10 minutes on my skin😂 I love the smell, but I'm not sure if I will be repurchasing it because of the poor performance on me. Do you consider that Eau d'Orange Verte is unisex?
Alex. What a breath of fresh air! Excellent content...honest and relatable. ( Although I live in the UK and I am a few?? years older than You...oh and gay.... but that is irrelevant... Yes expand on the channel, not simply fragrance content. Lifestyle is a broad area to utilise. Back to fragrances, your " left field" approach is exciting. May I suggest in the future exploring Comme des Garçons fragrances? At least two of my all time favourites come from CDG. Ahhh yes, Prada Amber Homme. Totally agree! Certainly in my Top 10. Not least the memories this fragrance holds. Thank you. The channel is destined for success. Cheers.
Thanks for the video Alex! Funny I was between a 400 dollar niche and Tom Ford Noir extreme as a date night frag … the moment I walked out of the boutique with the niche I knew I made the wrong choice. designer or not it’s about what works for you! your 11 clearly demonstrates that
I just received Naxos in the mail and totally bought it blindly… Let me tell you, it’s so worth it. When you smell it, all you want to do is smile. Just makes me so happy to smell it
I have two bottles of Prada Amber Pour Homme too... in my Top 5 for sure. I had a decant of Naxos and it's 95% Pure Havane which I already own. Dior Homme Eau is incredible too, as is Beau de Jour.
I totally agree with you în Prada Amber! 1 back up bottle, its not redundant with Prada L'Homme! Soapy, clean, just a very special perfume that cannot pe replicated! Great video!
The way you feel about Prada Amber is the same way I feel about YSL la nuit de l'homme. The smell is so adicting to me that I will wear it whenever I can even if it doesn't match the scenario or weather.
"Fun fact": 'Gris Charnel' is a newly discovered love for me (although i prefer the EDP to the extrait.) 'Naxos' and 'Green Irish tweed' i really, really like, but.... DHI and Gentlemen Privee i can't stand... 'Prada L'homme' and 'Noir extreme' i like a lot, 'Grey Vetiver' not so much... - And this is why i ALWAYS sample before i buy any fragrance. Great video, keep it up!
Givenchy gentleman edp is way better than privee imo. Everyone is different and fragrances are subjective. I sampled all the Prada line recently and not one appealed to me.
Love Gris Charnel Extrait - doesn't perform amazingly on me but too good not to own. Next purchase for me: Frederic Malle L'Eau D'hiver! Fantastic content by the way. 100% authentic.
Love your content, insanely honest. The only thing I'd suggest is to work on some video editing, especially the fragrance name appearing on the screen when you start talking about it, it's very important for various reason. Love this.
Thanks for your feedback - will definitely be implementing this over time. I'm really trying to refrain from editing as much as possible. These are intentionally raw and real.
@@Admire.documented thank you, it's not about the lack of skill, it's a matter of not wanting my videos to be edited. I intentionally want things to be raw and unfiltered as much as possible
Excellent taste. I can't find Valentino Uomo Intense anywhere and it frustrates me so much. I'm not a fan of the Born In Roma Flankers but the OG Uomo is a 10/10 for me, and have always wanted to get Uomo Intense.
@hey.alexedwards uomo intense is closer to DHI and Givenchy Reserve prive. I love Givenchy RP but imo VUI bets even this. Best of them. Vanilla, Iris, leather.
I finally bought a bottle of Gris charnel (not the extrait) for my daily work scent. I’m on the sunny coast in QLD and still run it in this heat but just take it easy on the sprays. Such an amazing smooth and interesting scent. 👌 BDK as a house is amazing.
I agree HEAVY on the Eau d Orange Verte. I live in Greece and the heat during summertime is INTENSE. The way de colognes from Hermes and the Blu Mediterraneo line from Acqua Di Parma are what I use in that weather
I think my favorites that I'll always have are: Byredo Gypsy Water Tom Ford Black Orchid Chanel 1957 Diptyque Philosykos Celine Nightclubbing YSL 24 Rue De L'universite Initio Atomic Rose Penhaligon's Halfeti Le Labo The Matcha 26 Le Labo Gaiac 10 (I have 6 Le Labo's and I'll always repurchase them haha) I feel like I'm missing a leather on my list above, I can't choose between TF Ombre leather, Diptyque eau Rihla or Memo French Leather 😜
The way you would use Prada Lhomme or Grey Vetiver, I’d recommend MFK 724. It’s like you said, you need to just smell clean. Not too good and attention seeking but just enough for ppl to know you are clean and wash up well. I just grabbed it and it can be an easy no brainer type of scent
I recently reduced my fragrance collection from 60+ to 5 fragrances. Surprisingly enough these are all 5 quite ordinary fragrances. After spending thousands of dollars on MFK, PDM, Le Labo, Creed, etc. I came to the realisation that just my Chanel Allure Home Sport Eau Extreme, Rasasi Hawas, Terre d'Hermes, Versace Dylan Blue and MFK L'Homme A La Rose were the fragrances that gave me tons of compliments. Eventually that's why I wear fragrances: I want to smell GOOD to others. Just to maintain a fresh and well-groomed presence. I still visit (niche) fragrance stores every now and then to smell new releases (recently Crivella Oud Maracuja for example) bc fragrances are still a hobby to me. But I don't feel like owning 60 expensive bottles anymore, especially for the fact that they only give you this "exclusive feeling" in your mind. You think you're the Harvey Specter, while some guy wearing Sauvage, BdC and Dylan Blue steals the show.
I am also subscribed because of your fragrance addiction video (also commented 🙂). I'm happy to see it resonated with a lot of people besides me and it going "viral", you really elaborated on it wonderfully so you deserve all the credit and fast kickstart to your channel 💪 I'm hoping you will find a great balance in your content between what gave you this early boost, honest opinions about fragrance, and the other topics you mention in your bio/intro. Because as you are probably fully aware of, fragrance video topics/angles are pretty limited in the end (that's why the fragrance-only TH-camrs are just repeating themselves over and over) so your honesty/real-life angle is what will set you apart. As per the video itself; I'm happy to see I actually own 2 of them (Dior Homme Intense and Tom Ford Noir Extreme) and 2 are on my to-buy list (Gentleman Riserve Privee and Naxos) 😇. I also have Prada L'Homme for fall/winter office purposes but I got the Intense version, pretty different but 10/10 for me. I was planning to wear Riserve Privee to the office as well, I think it's suitable. Naxos I own a sample of and it was love at first sniff but I haven't bought it yet. Right now I'm still focusing on more versatile options before I buy it because it will be one of the very few date/special occasion bottles I want to own, it's just that good! I'm also sticking to my monthly allowance rule so hopefully somewhere next year 😉
Thank you so much - I will absolutely be posting different topics that I find important. Just wanted to ride this initial wave with a couple fragrance videos. Next video will be a different (but equally interesting) topic
It’s crazy how different people nose are 😂 Gris charnel extract was so upsetting I couldn’t take it, but then again powdery/iris fragrances tend to make me sick, Naxos and git are a 10/10 tho.. great video
Hi Alex. Yesterday I came across your channel and I’m already subscribed. I really like your approach and personal touch, it is refreshing. Taking into account your personal taste in perfumes, I think you’d love Bois Imperial from Essential Parfums. It is one of my favorite perfumes from a very affordable house and it is created by Quentin Bisch. Regards from Spain!
We share the love for gris charnel, dhi, reserve prive and prada amber 😅 I like those too bc they give texture out ouf the smell they do, like powdery cozy
9:00 one of my favorite office fragrance is Meteore. It’s clean laundry detergent made into a masculine fragrance, a nice blend that is strong yet inoffensive
Black Orchid is my signature, especially so in winter. My girlfriend and exes have all agreed black orchid reminds them of me and was/ is their favourite fragrance that I wore/ wear. My recent bottle seemed to have been a lot weaker than previous versions so i’m hoping it was a bad batch🤞🏻
Black Orchid always puts a smile in my face at start but then it overrules everything around and becomes too dominant. It also becomes foody...somehow...and it is not that pleasing after a few hours. The initial impression is awesome though.
Nice work, new sub from fellow Aussie! Spot on with DHI and Givency GRP. Same same to my nose after about 20 mins, but…. to me the opening on DHI is next level!!! if only it was more linear and smelt like that all day I would buy up all stock 😂
Great video. My favorites are Amouage Beach Hut Man, Chanel Coromandel and Naxos. By the way, for the latter two, I use Alexandria Fragrances China Affair and 1981X as clones which are 90% of the OGs and 1/3 the price. The 1981X Naxos clone has amped up jasmine and citrus which makes it better for hotter climates. They sell direct to the consumer with no middle man that takes 1/2 the profit. They have great sampler sets. Have you tried them? Brand names will ALWAYS cost you more and why pay it if you don’t have to! Maybe do a comparison video?
Thanks for sharing! Coromandel is amazing as well. I can understand why people buy clones, but I'm against them personally. I find that whilst they serve a purpose, they also drive up the cost of the real brands so we all end up paying more. Just my $0.02
@ Thanks for sharing. Personally, I believe in competition and digging deep to find the best value for my money. Case in point, I used to collect wine and at first bought only brand names because I didn’t know anything so I trusted the prestige of the esteemed brands. Later as I learned more and experimented, I learned to trust my palette and began to love the adventure exploring some of the lower priced lesser known brands in close geographical proximity of the big names and found that I could find quality rivals at less than half the price. I’m a big fan of sampling to learn more and eliminate mistakes.
My top fragrances for live would be Dior Fahrenheit edt, Creed Tabarome, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, Dior Leather/Purple Oud, Hilfiger Tommy edt, Profumum Roma Ambra Aurea, Byredo Oud Immortel, L`artisan Timbuktu/Fou d`Absinthe?
Interestingly. When I stopped with my perfume circle. I went back to the notes that made me first fall in love with parfume. I don’t know if that’s same with everyone. Now I have only Versace Gingembre Petillant, D&G the one intense, Wild Stride, Essentilal Parfume Bois Imperial and Patchouli Mania. So two for evenings and 3 for warm days😅. I now go for subtle scents. Scents that don’t overwhelm me
I get so many compliments when I wear naxos which feels great but I dont really like it for the first hour or two because of a black liquorice note I get from it. Is this something people have brought up when smelling it on you or something you get from it at all?
I can understand the slight liquorice note, but I kind of enjoy it. Usually I'll spray it a little earlier to give it time to develop before I leave the house.
I really enjoy watching your videos. Your opinion about fragrance addiction is on point. Gris charnel sounds very interesting. Do you already know the Edp version? Guess it's all about personal preference. My few scents that I would buy again: Naxos Oud & Ambre Hedonistic Oud Wood Parfum (not Edp) Aventus (incl. all flankers) Love from Germany.✌️
@@hey.alexedwards I will taste both versions for sure.🙂 Testing some scents without buying the full bottle is also very satisfying.😅 Thanks - you as well!😉🫡

brand new channel and casually dropping some of the best fragrance videos on yt
Appreciate the kind words legend!
💯 Agree,… looking fwd to many more videos ✊🏼
@MitziHart thank you!
I was waiting for a not-overstimulating channel, calmly talking about fragrances, not as a cash grab but as a hobby and with real dedicataion. Glad that I‘ve found your‘s. Cheers
I'm glad my channel resonates with you - thanks for being here.
@@joolean7799 thank you for this comment - I really appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts.
I see Gris Charnel comes as both EDP and extrait. Did you try both before deciding to go with the extrait? If so, why the extrait and not the EDP?
Thank you for sharing your favourites, and for the kind words. I appreciate you watching.
As for Gris Charnel Extrait, I originally tested the EDP and whilst I love it, I was absolutely captivated by the dark smokiness of the Extrait. The EDP is softer, 90% the same, but less masculine and more subdued.
love your outlook man, so genuine
Thank you!
It's absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Thank you! I agree, some of Zara's are nice, but they smell quite cheap and don't last at all in my opinion.
It’s good to see people who love their fragrances and gives you an honest review! Keep up the great vids!
Thanks for watching!
Just want to say thank you for your first video. Very honest and I was thinking of becoming fragrances critique. But you made me open my eyes and consider!
Thank you for the kind words and for sharing your thoughts
I used to think my Hermes was fake. Thank god you mention it's 30 mins lasting. No wonder it does not last. BDK is sold out from my source. Good video so far.
Thank you - not fake, just terrible performance
I really like that you explain the places and settings you wear your fragrances in, and that they're your actual experiences and not made up scenarios because that is very helpful. I'm 2/3 years into fragrances and I've only now managed to categorise my fragrances into the settings and scenarios I actually have, and I now don't buy or seek out fragrances that don't suit my actual lifestyle, even if they do smell good. I don't think our tastes are the same but I'll always watch and have subscribed!
Thank you so much, I appreciate the support. Out of curiosity, what are some of your favourites?
Very true. Thanks for watching!
Interesting choices man. Love the laidback style of your videos so I subscribed 😎
If you are curious about few fragrances I have for life (and if you want to try them), here are few:
-MDCI Le Barbier de Tanger (I'm on my third bottle in 4 years)
-Roja Vetiver Cologne. This is very similar than TF Grey Vetiver but more citrusy (I'm on my second bottle)
-Histories de Parfums 1828 (I just finished my 120ml bottle and will get another one for sure)
-And probably my fav of all time, Creed Bois du Portugal. Yeah I'm old school 🥸 and this fragrance will always be with me.
Enjoy and keep up the simple life 👌
Your taste in fragrances is excellent!
solid list man. my personal favorite right now is LV imagination 🔥
Thanks brother! Imagination is 🔥
Pretty amazing 10 right there 👌👍 Its such a hard list to make but I'll give it a shot (from what I own) :
1) Kilian - Straight To Heaven Extreme
2) Guerlain - Tonka Imperiale
3) Nasomatto - Baraonda
4) Marc Antoine Barrois - Ganymede
5) Serge Lutens - Chergui
6) Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille
7) PDM - Habdan
8) Dior Homme Intense
9) Penhaligon's - Sartorial
10) Prada L'homme Intense / Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense
Keep the videos coming 👍
Excellent list!
Top tier list ! nice collection !
@@AdrianVasquez-ub1lc thanks! I don't have any of the most expensive brands out there but I truly love what I have and wear it all
Excellent video. Absolutely love Naxos myself and I would dare to call it a beast mode fragrance because on me it lasts all day with just a few sprays. Totally worth the price.
It's absolutely beautiful
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. You have great taste!
By far the best channel start quality wise i've seen. Your videos are a breath of fresh (a little bergamot, citruicy and pachouli with aquatic notes) air in the all-for-the-hype youtubers craze. Hope you can grow enough while being as honest as you look in these videos. 💪
Thank you. I'm just here to share what I find interesting. Zero desire to create hype
You're such a pleasure to listen to. Love your content and will stay updated.
Thank you! I appreciate that
I am liking your content a lot. I also have around 40-41 fragrances in my collection (and trying to keep it that way). Naxos is currently my favorite fragrance, and I cannot understand how people don't like it!
Thank you! I agree, it's divine
Not surprised that your channel picked up so quickly! What you put out is very genuine and people do love that, keep it up!
Thank you - the fragrance community needs more people who share their *real* opinions
Naxos is my absolute favourite and have sacrificed it to the other half because it's so good to smell it on him.
It's phenomenal. I bet your other half smells incredible.
I have about 30 full bottles and quite a few samples. My bottle with the biggest dent is Versace Pour Homme. It's fresh, clean, and makes me happy every time I spray it on.
That's all that matters - if you love it, nothing else matters. Enjoy it!
Nice Content Buddy, very very Organic and such a natural feeling when you talking, this is great.
Im living in Dominican Republic, im a personal collector and before a years ago, i had more than 100 frags, now only have 58 but if i only need to choose 10, its difficult to me but probably Id choose
1- Russian Oud II Areej le Dore
2- Pikovaya Dama Xerjoff
3- Sahraa Oud Fragrance du Bois
4- Cypress Clive Christian
5- Promise Frederic Malle
6- Fars Xerjoff
7- Zek Necalli
8- Jump up and kiss me Clive Christian
9- Royal Oud Arabian Oud
10- Sublimizia Bruno Perucci
Excellent taste my friend!
I love that your voice is calming, I use this as an ASMR channel
Wow, thank you!
Yes let’s gooo! Wanted to do some fragrance reviews for some time. Your success makes an inspiring impression. Keep it up!
Awesome! Thank you!
my new favourite channel. i love the raw and vulnerable approach to your videos. they really resonate with me :) keep it up brother!
Thank you so much brother. Really appreciate the support
Thank you for sharing your thoughts - you have excellent taste.
Also, Eau Sauvage is excellent. Classy and understated.
Prada L'Homme Intense is amazing, and I have always wanted to try Pure Havane. You have great taste!
Loving your channel & energy 🔥
Thank you legend!
That's great! You have amazing taste
Thank you - I appreciate that!
Keep up the great videos. It’s refreshing to get someone’s honest opinion
Thank you! Will do!
For the video where you talk about the fragrance dependency or compulsive buying and now you say you do not encourage buying these, I say thank you and I Subscribed. Thanks!
Thank you for watching & subscribing
Congratulations on gaining over $1000 subscribers! I didn't realise your channel was new either. You're killing it, well done.
Gris Charnel & Grey Vetiver are 2 faves from your list. My personal top 3 are Amouage Sunshine Woman, Electimus Trajan & Byredo Bal D'Afrique (or Attar Collection Al Rayhan as an alternative to Bal D'Afrique). .
Thank you! I appreciate the support. Sounds like you have phenomenal taste
Estee Lauder degrades everything they acquire unfortunately.
Love it! You have great taste.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. Take care
Haha thanks for watching!
Love the content where it feels like honest reviews. Lol my wife hates all my scents minus PDM haltane so that'll never leave. But I dig the scent for diff scenarios which is how decide to keep perfumes. Also try to keep between 10-13 frags.
Thank you man! I haven't tried Haltane yet but I've heard it's excellent
Hi! I loved the video!❤
My categories are:
1. Date Night
2. Personal: 1 year round and 1 for warm weather
3. Everyday use: 1 year round and 1 for warm wheater
4.Gym/Fresh out of the shower
My favorite for high heat is Infusao Botanica from Granado, but it lasts 10 minutes on my skin😂
I love the smell, but I'm not sure if I will be repurchasing it because of the poor performance on me.
Do you consider that Eau d'Orange Verte is unisex?
Those are great categories! I don't personally wear fragrance to the gym. As for Eau D'Orange Verte, I think it means more masculine personally
@@hey.alexedwards ok thank you!
Damn your growth is amazing! I interacted with your videos a couple of days ago and had no idea your channel was brand new. Nice job dude
Thank you legend! Appreciate the support.
About Naxos, people say its citrusy because they use it it colder months. In Australian weather other notes shine and the citrus is unnoticeable.
I'll have to travel with it to see how it performs in different climates.
Cheers.
Thank you for the kind words Keith! You have excellent taste. My favourite CDG fragrance is Blackpepper.
Take care!
What are your favourite CDGs? I have Man 2 and Zero, oh and Ganja. I also like Blackpepper and Concrete.
Thanks for the video Alex! Funny I was between a 400 dollar niche and Tom Ford Noir extreme as a date night frag … the moment I walked out of the boutique with the niche I knew I made the wrong choice. designer or not it’s about what works for you! your 11 clearly demonstrates that
Exactly right! It's about what works for you personally. Thanks for sharing your experience
Naxos is so beautiful. Your description was perfect. I made a sample last over a year as I only really wore it for special occasions
That's fair enough. Thanks for watching.
Damn, you skimped tf out of that 1 lol. Just grab a full bottle. Worth every cent
I just received Naxos in the mail and totally bought it blindly… Let me tell you, it’s so worth it. When you smell it, all you want to do is smile. Just makes me so happy to smell it
@@BlaneHillThats a bold blind buy! Glad you love it
@ I did research on it for a good few weeks before I bought it. The ingredients in it were right up my alley, so I just knew lol.
I have two bottles of Prada Amber Pour Homme too... in my Top 5 for sure. I had a decant of Naxos and it's 95% Pure Havane which I already own. Dior Homme Eau is incredible too, as is Beau de Jour.
Always wanted to try Pure Havane but can't find it any more. Beau De Jour is another favourite. Do you have the Signature or Private Blend version?
I totally agree with you în Prada Amber! 1 back up bottle, its not redundant with Prada L'Homme! Soapy, clean, just a very special perfume that cannot pe replicated! Great video!
Thanks for watching!
The way you feel about Prada Amber is the same way I feel about YSL la nuit de l'homme. The smell is so adicting to me that I will wear it whenever I can even if it doesn't match the scenario or weather.
La Nuit is absolutely fantastic. My 2022 bottle genuinely upsets me because of how weak it is, but I love it. You have great taste.
Thank you! Definitely sample first
Givenchy gentleman edp is way better than privee imo.
That's interesting - I can't imagine this not performing. I guess it's different for everyone.
Thank you, that's kind.
Hey Alex! Great content as usual, I just had one advice to share and that is to add time stamps in your video. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Thank you - will be doing this in the future
Thanks for sharing, Alex!
Cheers from Brazil!
Thanks for watching!
really great video. love the way you tell your stories when describing a fragrance. love from sweden
Thank you so much!
If you need help with editing I can do that for you, I love fragrances and I'm also a video editor so yeah, if you need a hand, hit me up.
@@Admire.documented thank you, it's not about the lack of skill, it's a matter of not wanting my videos to be edited. I intentionally want things to be raw and unfiltered as much as possible
Nice choices, Naxos is #1 for me also, incredible stuff. If we talk about date fragrances my top 2 would be Valentino uomo intense and TMW patrfum.
The EDP is really nice! Definitely more appropriate for the humidity and heat in QLD. Great taste.
I agree HEAVY on the Eau d Orange Verte. I live in Greece and the heat during summertime is INTENSE. The way de colognes from Hermes and the Blu Mediterraneo line from Acqua Di Parma are what I use in that weather
Great taste! Acqua Di Parma is a fantastic house too.
I think my favorites that I'll always have are:
Byredo Gypsy Water
Tom Ford Black Orchid
Chanel 1957
Diptyque Philosykos
Celine Nightclubbing
YSL 24 Rue De L'universite
Initio Atomic Rose
Penhaligon's Halfeti
Le Labo The Matcha 26
Le Labo Gaiac 10 (I have 6 Le Labo's and I'll always repurchase them haha)
I feel like I'm missing a leather on my list above, I can't choose between TF Ombre leather, Diptyque eau Rihla or Memo French Leather
😜
Great list! I love Ombre Leather, but French Leather is absolutely breathtaking. It's unforgettable, and much less masculine.
Totally agree
Hahah I totally understand what you're saying. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@@hey.alexedwards Of course, and as you should! 💪 I'll be following, keep up the good work!!
It’s crazy how different people nose are 😂 Gris charnel extract was so upsetting I couldn’t take it, but then again powdery/iris fragrances tend to make me sick, Naxos and git are a 10/10 tho.. great video
That's what I love about fragrances! They're so subjective.
Black orchid and prada l'homme are amazing, they could perfectly be the two only fragrances in my collection.
I agree completely. A 10/10 2-fragrance collection
My favorite fragrance is Amber Intense by Fragrance du Bois followed closely by Blonde Amber from Clive Christian. Great video btw
Always heard amazing stuff about Blonde Amber!
Thank you so much for the support and the recommendation. I'm interested to check it out :)
We share the love for gris charnel, dhi, reserve prive and prada amber 😅
I like those too bc they give texture out ouf the smell they do, like powdery cozy
You have excellent taste!
My english is very poor but i want to say that really enjoy your videos please keep going with this wonderful job, bless.
Thank you. Appreciate it!
nice and unique picks.. keep up the good work!
Thank you! Take care
Layton is a fragrance I will always have in my collection and it is my signature for cooler weather. Had a random woman tell me I smelled delicious 😂.
Great choice! What a compliment
I like you; you are a very honest guy. I hope you do not change.
Thank you. Just being me, and not interested in keeping up with the rest of the BS on TH-cam
9:00 one of my favorite office fragrance is Meteore. It’s clean laundry detergent made into a masculine fragrance, a nice blend that is strong yet inoffensive
I was in LV the other day and didn't try it. I'll have to check it out!
Fingers crossed, but unfortunately Estee Lauder has ruined Tom Ford's brand.
@@hey.alexedwards Oh really? So this is probably a reformulation then. Disappointing.
@@cadederbyshire4345 Unfortunately, I would say so. They ruin everything they touch.
Black Orchid always puts a smile in my face at start but then it overrules everything around and becomes too dominant. It also becomes foody...somehow...and it is not that pleasing after a few hours. The initial impression is awesome though.
That's fair enough! Back of the neck works well so you're not smelling it on yourself.
Honestly trust your opinion a lot more than most content creators.
Thank you.
Yo! Keep up your content. High quality stuff.
Thank you, will do!
Nice work, new sub from fellow Aussie!
Spot on with DHI and Givency GRP. Same same to my nose after about 20 mins, but…. to me the opening on DHI is next level!!! if only it was more linear and smelt like that all day I would buy up all stock 😂
I agree! I wish most fragrances were linear. The opening is almost always better.
Great video! Keep going mate! Subscribed.
Thank you mate!
My top fragrances for live would be Dior Fahrenheit edt, Creed Tabarome, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, Dior Leather/Purple Oud, Hilfiger Tommy edt, Profumum Roma Ambra Aurea, Byredo Oud Immortel, L`artisan Timbuktu/Fou d`Absinthe?
Excellent taste!
Scents that don’t overwhelm me
There's something special about subtle scents!
A fragrance purist ☕️ thanks it’s fun sharing the hobby
Thanks for watching!
Ill try that next time I wear it, thanks!
@@GageLeidl my pleasure!
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Your opinion about fragrance addiction is on point.
Gris charnel sounds very interesting. Do you already know the Edp version? Guess it's all about personal preference.
My few scents that I would buy again:
Naxos
Oud & Ambre
Hedonistic
Oud Wood Parfum (not Edp)
Aventus (incl. all flankers)
Love from Germany.✌️
Thanks for watching! The EDP is lovely, although a little feminine for my taste.
Sounds like you have excellent taste!
@@hey.alexedwards I will taste both versions for sure.🙂 Testing some scents without buying the full bottle is also very satisfying.😅
Thanks - you as well!😉🫡
