My expensive-smelling favs are 40 Knots, Carlisle, Grand Soir (Amber-based frags smell 'rich' in general), Blonde Amber, Hedonistic, Nefs, Elysium, Alexandria and maaaybe Naxos. To smell 'expensive' on a budget, I'd probably opt for something like Ombre Leather, Noir Extreme, L'homme, Bois Imperial or a decent Layton dupe.
If 40 Knots makes the list then Naxos has to. Less notes but they smell higher quality. Also, I don’t think Grand Soir belongs here but pretty accurate list otherwise
I have 40 knots and carlisle as well they are incredible. I will say though Amyris home extrait from MFK is my favorite hidden gem and is a top of the line fragrance imo.
Hi Charles. Thank you for the list. My go to rich smelling scents are: 1. Pikovaya Dama by Xerjoff 2. Vanille des afriques by ormonde Jayne 3. Bois d’ argent by Dior 4. Casa Blanca by House of Bo 5. ris Malikhan by Maison Crivelli 6. Haltane by Parfums de Marly 7. Jubilation 40 by Amouage Keep pumping out videos. You are doing great. Take care.
My favorites would have to be: 1) MFK: Amyris homme extrait (hidden gem of the house) 2) Le Labo: Another 13 3) PDM: Layton Exclusif (Honorable mention: Acqua di Parma oud)
Great selection. Glad to see some love for Bois 1920. My favorites from the house are Vetiver Ambrato and Parana. My go to for Spring and Summer are, Nobile 1942 Pontevecchio. It smells like a posh hotel lobby. Also for warm weather I use Acqua Di Parma Intensa. For Fall and Winter, Creed Bois du Portugal and Houbigant Bois Mystique. All fragrances should be dressed up at minimum smart casual.
Some favorite go to: MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver, Creed Royal Oud, Dior Homme Parfum, CDG Floriental, Celine Black Tie, YSL Tuxedo, Xerjoff TI Monkey Special, SoW Plum in Cognac, Nishane Nefa
Try Clive Christian, Unum, Meditorrossa, and Boadecia 😂😂 ur lv frags are just as overpriced as the bags 😂😂😂 if u gotta flex then at least flex with some class 😂😂😂
@@user-el1hh2mj9wtrut Henry J brother - LV are great fresh options if you money. Def not overprice if you buy a 200 ML and use the Refil price. The bottle has value too bc you can refil it. I Use Roja prestige lin, CC, and HJ. But for LV are just the best for fresh Frags 😂
Darley is such an underrated pdm, after Herod that was my second one from them. It’s an elevated niche version of jpg le male, sweet vanilla, powdery with a hint of barbershop vibes.
Your fragrance recommendations always stand out from the typical top 10 lists. I would really appreciate your opinion about Marc-Antoine Barrois Ganymede. Have a great weekend!🙏
Thanks for saying that! I tend to stay away from most of the 'popular' fragrances because I prefer to smell unique. Unless of course there are some that are just irresistible. I've never heard of that one but i'll keep my eye out. Any specific reason you want to know about that one?
@@itscharlesmackenzie I even stay away from the top 10 designer/niche lists, most of the time they talk about the same old fragrances🙄. I appreciate your taste mate and when I saw your last fall video I realized that you would absolutely love Ganymade. It is very sharp and fresh but with some leather and mineral notes. I hope you will try it one day. Out of my 30+ bottle collection its the most appreciated by my wife and my whole apartment smells like it now.😅. Have a great weekend, love your videos!👏
Yes, a perfume video from you 😉👍🏼. I love your mix of designer and niche, cheapies and more expensive ones. Fragrances recapture memories or build up desires, you are totally right. My favourite fragrances for this autumn/winter: 1. Floriental by Comme des Garcons (you have to try it Charles, 100 times better than Lost Cherry; a sweet plum turns into a smoky plum with incense and woods, addictive!) 2. Ombre Leather by Tom Ford 3. Pegasus by Parfums de Marley 4. Autumn Vibes by Maison Margiela Replica. Keep up that good work 👍🏼 🇩🇪
My smell Rich Top 5: - Amouage / Reflection 45 - Yves Saint Laurent / Tuxedo - Bvlgari / Falkar - Atkinson / Oud Save The King - Spirit of Dubai / Meydan 🙏
You may smell rich but that depends on the people around you who are non nichers and wear what they see advertised on TV. I wear a fragrance for me. I spray my duvet, my clothes and my hair and never my skin. Since I started down the path of niche perfumes I have made a few mistakes, one of which was buying according to the recommendations of a youtuber, not CM. You must always try it on for size and avoid spur of the moment buying. Sometimes I will try a cologne/perfume several times before buying and of course the seasonal factor is important to consider when buying as well. As for my favorites Amouage Jubilation XXV, Roja Burlington 1819, #Hashtag by 2787, Emerald Green from THºO and Painter by Genyum.
Amouage, Xerjoff, frederic malle, TF, Nishane nefs, mana, oud hacivat, PDM. Oud is my sig scent, discovered oud when i was working in Kuwait in the late 90’s and fell in love with the scent. stopped collecting last year. Saying that i tried some MFK recently and was disappointed. Creed is a no no for me, complete waste of money. Started collecting when i was 16, now 46.. Extremely happy with my collection.
Chanel Les Exclusifs all smell very old money. The line tends to skew feminine imo but my three unisex to masculine picks are Cuir de Russie, Coromandel, and Le Lion. Le Lion especially smells amazing. Amouage (at least their older releases) definitely have an "Saudi oil baron" vibe while still being exceptionally creative. Definitely ignore the "man" and "woman" designations in Amouage frags because most are completely unisex. My favs are Memoir Woman, Overture Man, and Jubilation XXV Man.
I’m wearing these and my nephews think I’m a billionaire 😅: Crivelli’s Oud Cadenza, Chanel’s Coromandel, Clive’s Blonde Amber, Santal 33 (layer with Another 13), Silver Mountain Water, Molecule 01.
I tried Darley so many times, really want to like it..... but somehow I always walk out of the store, thinking something, just a little something isnt right for me :/ Thanks again for your fragrance video,
Can you do a comparison between carby musk and bulk apothecary's knock off of it(it's like $6)? I'm super curious to see how close it is. I have a SUPER sensitive nose and i get headaches easily from fragrance, so I don't want to drop $200 usd to only find out it gives me a headache.
Oh damn I had no idea they duped it. If I get the chance I’ll check it out. This isn’t very headache inducing though since it’s oil based it’s really intimate and stays close to the skin. It is strong though
Love your content 🫶🏽! I’d also love to know the fragrances you love most on your lady. Think your taste is impeccable 👌🏽 so curious to know which scents you find the most rich and/or attractive on her 😊.
I agree with the Darley being what you described. Underrated but I want to keep it that way as I want to smell different. Everybody around me smells like MFK Baccarrat Rouge 😂
I literally just said that in the video. “There aren’t really any budget friendly options that give you this scent profile aside from clones” So thanks for not listening I guess.
@ no buddy, there’s plenty of cheaper options out there that aren’t clones. It’s literally one of the MOST replicated scent out there.
