I’m only a year and a half younger than her and I still live with my parents lol. Every time she says her age it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished nothing!
My friends think it's sad, but I love baking my own birthday cakes. I'm a baker and I never get to decorate cakes how I want to and experiment with flavors how I want to. People always want Nutella and chocolate chips or strawberries and cream. Some will ask for lemon, rarely, and that's it. So my bday is a time to enjoy playing with food and decorations
Same! I'm so tired of all the marble, red velvet, and funfetti cakes my clients order, lol. For my cake I like to experiment.

i love to bake them too. My kids can choose a color and flawour on their own cakes and i made them too. my men doesnt like cakes and thats so sad.
you should mix the sprinkles into your piping bag so they are like embedded into the soap frosting!

Only if they are really tiny otherwise they won't come out of tip and can clog it
Feasible idea especially with a round tip since others are worrying about clogging the tip.

I think the fairy nights soap is my favorite from this release, but I've bought a few from previous releases that I wasn't sure about (because I always work Monday nights) and loved every single one. I've actually switched entirely from body wash to your soap, and I think my skin is happier.

Also to answer the question: I'm from Germany and I've never in my life paid for a whole cake from a bakery for my or anyone's birthday. Usually when it's someone birthday some friends make some cakes. Also we don't usually have cakes that look like birthday cakes. We just have normal cakes, whatever the person likes in terms of cake

I have to smile when you said you feel so old at twenty-five years old. I just turned fifty-five years old. I think everything is relative. I remember thinking I (like you) had matured and evolved by twenty-five. But you have so many more troubles and joys to experience in your life! Great advice! Now...how about a beginners series. I'm making my first batch of soap this week :)

25 feels old when you are younger but as we age we realize that ageing process is more about how we feel then how many years pass us by. With age comes experience and knowledge and self acceptance. Ageing is a positive depending on each person's perspective 😁 You are only as old as you feel. So no 50 is not old at all in fact life is said to begin at 50 and I truly believe that's because by 50 you have totally worked yourself out. You know your likes and dislikes and what you will and won't accept. X
I am 54 *high five* I think age 25 is a medically significant marker in aging. It is said our brain development doesn't end til age 25. Of course the capacity to learn, and to make new neural connections does not end at this age. Though it is considered the age of brain maturity (of course not exact science here) and therefore true adulthood.

My mum always baked our birthday cakes from scratch. I have continued that with my two boys (8 & 6) by letting them choose their cakes. We've had some interesting and fun choices from a full mushroom fairy house to a rocket on the moon! This year I baked a geode cake and a sleepy puppy cake. It's my favourite part of their birthdays 🥰 happy birthday to you and hoping you have an amazing day with your tribe

My husband and daughters are addicted to American cheesecake, plain baked cheesecake. Not the super sweet variety you get in the USA but the Australian version which has a lot less sugar (about three quarters less) and is very creamy. I baked special cakes for my kids when they were little, dinosaurs, dolls, butterflies etc. Now they're older they want bought cakes. My birthday is July 19. I'm turning 59. Katie, I think you're very accomplished for your age. You have a successful business, a lovely family of your own and no massive school debt. You are way ahead of most of your peers in having a successful life. You are independent and well grounded in the realities of life. PollyAnna is a true gift for opening the eyes to what is really important, becoming a parent amplifies that. You are stronger than ever now, both you and Caleb together.

It was a thing kids on the internet did maybe 10 or so years ago as a nasty prank, they'd tell you to google blue waffles and gross images of women's privates photo-shopped to look diseased would come up. There used to be a lot of shock websites with innocent sounding names for these sorts of tricks, I won't name 'em. I remember boys joking about this stuff when I was in middle school.
I tell this to warn you; don't go looking for it.

I feel like I can't objectively answer the question. I've got some professional pastry training and therefore I'm asked to make cakes, esp for my family. But, I'm lazy and will buy a cake from Krogers, where my husband works, instead of making something. Before I went to pastry school, I'd frequently just box cake stuff. But, now it feels so dirty to use a premix. Like 'You know how to do this, don't be lazy'. So, I end up just doing neither for stuff.
I also when to school for pastry arts and everyone I know wants me to make them a cake for the birthdays, weddings and so on... But I always just tell them to go and order them from the bakery I used to work at cause they use the same recipe that do.. LOL..

Here in Maine ours just started! & only lasts 2 more months! By mid to late August the nights start getting chilly 🙁
Lucky! I live in southern Arizona, it doesn't get really chilly till November and it gets warm in late April 🥵 I was born and raised here but I'm still not used to it
@@jjr26x14 Maine summers are truly gorgeous! Especially here on the rocky coast. So many wild seaside rosebushes, lupines, black eyed susan's, daisies & buttercups. The beaches are also beautiful & I'm also lucky that my family business (for generations back) is working in the ocean catching lobster. There's truly no better place to be! Summer here is like a snapshot from a postcard. I just wish it lasted longer. By November we sometimes have snow! All leaves & grass is long dead & were wearing winter jackets, boots gloves & hats! April the snows starting to melt & things don't start sprouting until the end of May! It wasn't even warm enough for summer clothes til June! I wish we could switch weather! 😂

Katie, you can rub those new molds down with Boiled Linseed Oil a few times and it will put a finish on those molds to keep the oils from staining the wood. That's what I did to my wood molds and they are beautiful. And of course I spilled all down to side the first time I used it and was so glad it wiped off with no oil or color stain because of that Linseed finish.

In my family, it doesn't qualify as a birthday cake if it's store bought. Birthday cake has to be homemade

I really love your work. Here in Brazil there are just a few people that make CP soap. The melt and pour is more what they do. I'm almost the only CP soap maker here and I learn a lot with you and other CP soapers. There's an interesting thing about soap making here, we don't have micas and the fragrance oils are very expensive, then I use clays and natural things that I find here. I love your designers but it's difficult to make them without micas. Then I make soaps that have lots of skin benefits, we call it medicinal soaps. So I focus on the benefits instead on designers. Sorry for my bad English😅 but all of this was to tell you that you have a fan here and I'd love to try some colorful soaps some day. Thanks for share your knowledge😘

I’m 25 this year too🙋♀️ finally I can start to relate to people my age because now they’re all having kids now but I had my first child when I was 15 so I always felt older and out of place amongst people my own age. A 25 year old car is a n old car, 25 years is a long time!!!! So much stuff can happen in 25 years! Happy birthday month Katie!
If Someone has got a soap before I'm just wondering how strong is the fragrance? does it stay on your skin when you use it?
it stays on the skin, but it's faint. like any handsoap.
Her soaps smell up my bathroom and do stay on the skin, but not so much that it's overpowering or obnoxious.
I can't smell anything on my skin but it makes my bathroom smell wonderful
