Due to the Animaniacs return, I had taken the liberty to compare the first 3 seasons intros with the newly made introduction for the Hulu remake.

I love how the first three seasons' intros still showed Minerva Mink, a character so over-the-top sexy even by 1990s standards that they quickly dropped her. Just imagine the utter maelstrom of Twitter rage if they were clueless enough to try to bring her back to the new season.

Nothing hits like the part when they say near the end "we're animaniacs" in the contract part, and it's just the warner's in the new one. Steven is giving new people a chance to shine, but with only part of the whole. He's mocking himself for rebooting it. And that's the joke. He's showing very clearly THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL. He's acknowledging both the sin of reboots by doing it, and celebrating what once was.
