So happy that you're all getting back to the farm! Lots of work ahead, but I'm confident it'll be more than worth it! I'm so proud of you two for working to reconcile your marriage! Praise the Lord!
If you are like me, I'm sure your family was very attached to the cattle. However wisdom takes many forms, and prioritizing family needs is never a wrong choice. If dad has an off- farm job, and mom has little ones to care for, it just makes good sense to use your time and resources more efficiently. Love seeing you all happier and with a renewed sense of hope for the future.❤❤
Bri it's like the farm is calling you all home with all of its blessings to offer: the glorious soil in the garden, your fruit trees bearing for the first time... I love it. It's beautiful. thnx for sharing with us.
It looks like a beautiful place to raise a family. I realize your older kids have made friends in the new neighborhood.. ( which is gorgeous by the way. It would be hard to leave that house) . I hope you weigh the part that Arthur doesn’t want to slip into a bad place being back at the farm again… you both are wise and I know your praying Gods will… He knows what’s right when we aren’t sure. Prayers and ♥️
It’s so wonderful to see the younger children getting to Experience the life that the older children had on the farm, you are blessed to have the property for now , as they learn
This is beautiful! Like relationships, this garden needs time, effort, and love to get it back to what it once was, and even better! What you're doing in your life, and in your garden, is a reflection of your dedication to the task that reaches the goal. You took steps years ago in the garden, to make things better, and you're seeing the fruit of that work now as you're discovering that beautiful black soil. This garden has life in it yet, and I know we'll see it back to its former glory very soon. Just like we're seeing your life and relationship growing and healing, I'm excited to see the garden, which brought such joy and happiness, come back to life! It's sad to see the cows go, but it also means less stress, so for now, it's a good thing. I love this family, and I'm so thankful that we're seeing so many wonderful things happening in their lives! 💙 Megan in Lexington, NC 💙
I'm so happy for the progress with your family and farm, and I know the tremendous amount of commitment and energy it takes to wake up every day and just carry on. I miss your videos and the presence your family has had in my life, but if I never saw you again and your family was able to survive all it has been through with joy and blessings, I would count myself a happy woman. If I were able to see you again, I would be ecstatic beyond measure. Blessings to you as you walk your path through our Father's way.
Good job, family! 👍Y'all just keep doin what you need to and pay no mind to negative comments. This has been such a journey for you all, and my momma heart couldnt be more proud of your family❤ keep up the good work!
Sometimes hard decisions need to be made for the greater good of your life or projects, I went through the same thing last year and I was sad at first but now I see it was the right thing to do. You'll get animals again once this is all fixed :)
To protect your trees from deer; pound in several 8’ metal stakes around the trees. Then wind fishing line around them at a hight of the deer. Then when they come up to eat the fruit; they can’t see what they bump into. So they go away.
I was so glad when you came back To TH-cam and I watched all videos and you were glowing. However not knowing what was going on with Art it was a bit of a gap that I figured I would just have to adapt. Then he started returning with you and I have to tell you it swells my heart. God Bless you both and your family.
Bri, if you ever find yourself up in Wisconsin, I’ll 100% let you into my gardens! ❤ you guys are making fantastic progress with getting the farm back into shape. You have an amazing team. I’m sure letting the cattle go was a difficult decision, but Art’s right, it’s a small step in making progress for your family. You guys have goals and it’s awesome to see you building your family back together so strongly! ❤
So glad your making progress on returning back to the farm Its where we first met you and watched the family grow and what beautiful gardens hopefully next year will get to bring the garden back for good
🙏🙏❤❤🙏🙏❤❤🙏🙏❤❤ I have always prayed that you guys would all move back to the farm. I used to go creek walking when i was a kid, soo much fun, and swimming at the river. Ohio River
I love Sage, but it can be such a thug in the garden. Having said that, many of the herbs can be when given the correct conditions. Last year I took out a variegated Marjoram. Whilst beautiful, I have limited growing space, and she was being a bit of a bully. Ideal for my friend that wants something for lots of ground cover. This year I noticed that Marjory Marjoram was determined to stay, and had spread out in to the lawn behind the semi-raised bed where she'd been. I'm not mad about out 😀
Oh i am so glad to see u guys sell the cows! I know thats hard but it will bring so much to ur lives to simplify right now❤️ ur dreams will come ❤️live like no one else so tou can live like no one else in the future❤️
I would make so much lavender vinegar there would be a spray bottle of it in every location at both places. Good for everything from light fly spray, to eux de toilette. 30 years ago, I made sachets with dried lavender for in my clothing drawers, and they still work!
Good choice, although hard. Does anybody do custon haying in your area? Where I live we get one cut of hay a year. I see so much abundance in your field it would be nice to see that harvested.
I had them in my compost pile when taking out soil....those are snake eggs y'all found! I hope and 🙏 the farm will be your forever home again! Peace, Darlene from South Carolina
Adorable hearing the children say goodbye to the cows. Art and Bri I also tarp my garden. I take off a section at a time to plant. I finally decided to plant corn😊
You have a beautiful property hang on to it st all cost. If you prune your fruit trees they will products more fruit. Also bentonite clay will protect them Check out James Prigioni he explains the clay use
My sage took over a box planter. It's about 3.5 feet high in the center but tapered out like a huge half sphere and covered in large purple flowers. It is gorgeous. I haven't watered it in a couple years, lol. (I live near the coast in Northern CA)
When I was able to go to Colorado last summer we went to the Mesa Verde National Park and during a tour they told us the original people utilized much of their Yucca plants for different dietary and medicinal (I think...) needs. It was pretty cool. It's hard to imagine people thriving in that landscape but they did. I planted Yucca at my parents' home and it has definitely started to spread. Gulp.🥴🤣Sage bushes were growing all over the places we went out there, too!
Put 4 metal fence posts around your apple trees, about 3 feet or more from the limbs. Then put fencing on those posts. The deer won't be able to eat your trees. You can put something down to keep the grass down, like the fabric that Living Traditions Homestead uses. Anyway that will prevent the deer from getting the Apple Trees. GOD bless
Bri I have always wanted someone to come plan and help me garden. I have a 20x40 plot that need help with! For the time being I have a 4x 10 strip I plant 2 tomato plants, two cuke, 2 zucchini and a pepper plant bordered by zinnias
@@roblawrence4770according to who? You? A stranger who doesn't even know her? Perhaps go and live your own life... 🤔 and leave others to live theirs without your unnecessary and unhelpful judgement.
Iagree... I personally think Art is using Bri so he won't have to work. A zebra never loses their stripes... If you move back to the farm and he screws up and your brother sells that beautiful house that he saved you and your kids when their own dad couldn't . Where and what will you do then??? You need stability and Art can't give you that. You need to stay in the house you have and move on from Art. Bri you are a lovely woman and have so much to offer a man that will appreciate you and you can count on.Food for thought....
I wonder if there's any progress in progress on the house. I remember all the work done before by Art and his brothers, but I'm a bit curious if more's been done since.
I have a homesteading friend in Mo whose commenters suggested "Deer No-No," an organic product that stopped the deer cold from emptying their bird feeders. They were shocked that it worked. I don't know if they sell it or if you can use it in your area, but you might want to look into it for your apple trees.
This week I dug up about 7 yucca plants that were spreading over into my herb garden. Will be transplanting the surviving 5 elsewhere. It's been 3 years and they still haven't flowered yet, but keeping hope alive.
We always had cherry trees , my dad always liked cherry cobbler pie. I would make the pies for him ,but it took so much sugar to get it be sweet. The birds would clear the trees in a couple of days .
So so enjoy your videos with your family back at the farm sharing time together, rebuilding and seeing everyone work & play together for God's Good. Bull's have their own agenda. I think you did the right thing. AI, Artificial Insemination is a very viable way to get your heifers & cows bred. Art & Bri, you would be very capable of learning, as smart as you both are, or find an AI Breeding Technician that is in your area! Lots of Dairy cattle are bred this way.. If you decide to keep any cows again, this would be an option, without having to deal with a bull. Praises for you both, with your family making a healthy life together again! Love your family so much! May you be forever Blessed! Deb
Bri, a few years ago when we lived in an apartment with a 14 foot patio I did quite a bit of rebel gardening. I discovered it goes a lot smoother if you share the harvest with your neighbors and the property manager! LoL 😂

Bri is putting in alot of effort to get her family back. She’s willing to give up a gorgeous house that her brother bought for her. Art says he wants his family back but seems to be waiting for someone to come along and do everything for him.
What makes you say he is waiting for someone to come along and do everything for him? I personally see them showing that they're both doing a whole lot.

Mowing the garden you are inspiring yourselves to garden there again someday.
I agree...family first...then home...then garden...then animals❤️ whatever can be handled...
A lot of people up north (Minnesota) use t-posts and high fencing to make a cage around the fruit trees to keep the deer away.

I LOVE you and your whole family, and your country lifestyle!!
Love seeing the family working together!
In our orchard we hang old socks with Iris Spring soap in them. We just tie a few on each tree. It seems to be working good for us.

Kaolin clay, I think. The product is called Surround.

Good for you, right decision on the bull.
The right cold varieties will have little to no die back for a fig tree. It’s awesome once you get the right one for cooler winter grow zones.
Can you suggest more cold hardy varieties? I’m in NE AL and my figs also die back to the ground. I have a Chicago fig and a Brown Turkey fig.
