Excellent sermon! Everyone needs to hear this. Especially in Our cancel culture today there is no grace for those who screw up, especially for those who do it in the public eye. I never heard of Ron, I work weekends and almost never go to church… I’m 30, raised as a Christian but left church… I do love god I just don’t like how my past always makes people stare my way…. today at work while feeding my disabled client tomato soup.. this exact episode was playing on tv! I started having tears just rolling down my face to what he said in the end….. I'm so glad that what I put together God was able to tear it apart and rebuild it the way he wanted it to be so I don't lose anything I gain The original intentt of what God wanted me to have in the first place. Anything that I put together was never meant to stay or to sustain me. The enemy built a wall in my life, Based on my sin nature. But glory to God who is able to make what the enemy meant for evil God turned around for good. Because many are plans in a man's heart but only God's purpose will prevail. And that's why old things pass away behold all things become new. As long as I acknowledge that anything that I build will wither because my foundation wasn't built on the word of God . Which is similar to rebar in a home to stabilize it. Now when the circumstances of life blow in my life the Plans and purposes and every promise of God will stand because it is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and his righteousness. And the gates of hell cannot prevail against it because it is based on truth. And I know that truth dismantles present power structures. And once again God gets all the glory.
