- This is my opinion on why tabor hasn't been doing too well lately. many big VR streamers simply arent playing it anymore. let me know yalls opinion's down below. I'm curious

As much as I love Tabor and Combat Waffle, there is a lot of quality of life things that needed to be implemented a while ago. This game will test your patience with jankiness, but we still love it 😂I'm holding out in hopes of a big patch coming to fix all my issues with the game currently, and for the record I don't know SHIT about game dev, so maybe my own complaints are easier said than done. But, the amount of small, yet large bugs that occur in game are enough to kick a new player right back to the Meta Store. Being an experienced player, you know how to deal with most of the jank that takes place because you've dealt with it for months... But, I really just want to see the game succeed. It's by far my most played VR title to date, and I know the devs are great guys, and what they've made so far is really, really good. But, just need these big patches sooner rather than later, or the player base will dwindle. At least some dev logs or community updates would be really beneficial for most people including myself.
Yeah I agree, I think combat waffle has some ups and downs. The skill issue thing is tiring but beyond that I know VR games definitely harder to create/fix bugs within them. I’ve only put 400 hours into tabor in the months I’ve had it. I more of made the video just talking about why I think the player base is sliding down hill a bit. Genuinely kinda shocked you seen this video I’ve been watching your videos and TikTok’s for a few months now man. Love and respect your work

I believe that's how most of us feel, I love the game despite the bs, n I'm in it for the long haul. There are days where I'm just done for the day, but I'm usually able to go get some revenge n get over it. I started friending ppl who kill me on some bs, n when the time is right ... Pop Pop Pop... Might be immediate, might be a day or two, one player I've been raiding with since wipe n I'm just waiting til the perfect time to avenge myself bwahaha
dude there are 5 gamebreaking bugs like the guns floating until despawn and ammo loader bug asval and vss ak rail bug falling thorugh the map and mags emptying upon joining raid but scott saying skill issue makes me extremely mad bro
For real it is like SO frustrating. it's like im a baby with a full diaper and hes my parent dude. he hits me with the "change it yourself"
That mags not being loaded once in raid has killed me at least 5 times! Fuck that shit, or how much ap I've lost from either it not loading at a certain point or put a box in the loader, put a 30 Rd mag in n it takes all 50 bullets but only has one shake? Definitely a skill issue on my part

Ammo loader.... I call it the ammo fountain. I do really like the game but would like to see it be a little more stable. Also the physics are way off. If I grab an ammo box the one on top of it floats there. How do we not have gravity? Bless my little heart though right? .

I feel like what should happen with the raid extraction timer is where you can do raids with it on or off. Let’s say your going into a raid to get some small loot to build a little kit. That’s would be a time for no extraction wait. But in other raids, if you want to get kills and grind then you would want the extraction wait timer on.
That would be legit perfect to me. That’s perfection.
Why would you ever put the timer on though? If you could just raid without it? Unless you have low loot no timer servers and the high risk real game should be for the big loot.
@@JohnDoe-lx3dt there’s a couple different situations, but I think the biggest would be if you’re grinding for xp, it’ll be harder to kill players when theyre able to leave whenever and the only other people to fight are the geared guys also grinding player kills

I’ve got the game just a few weeks to late to became founding father. So yes I’ve played enough to say I’ve work around a lot of bug. That said , this wipe I’m not there anymore grinding traders and so on . I’ve a life , a job , kids , summer time. I know wipe is part of the development in this kind of game but they happen really too often for me . The last one was wayyy too short .
My buddy with I was playing left the game and now it’s not the same for me.
The old bug that are persistent from 3 wipes now are annoying . The reloader machine , guns stuck in cabinet, items unable to be taken in small drawers, and so one , the grenades that are falling from the shelf now.
Every update something who was working fine are messed up. It’s like a cha cha cha dance , one step forward , two steps back.
The last horrible mistake and buggy is to reduce the advantage of silencer . To the point they are useless now. Why I would buy 20ktk for a silencer that drop my bullet and do 40-50% less damage?
Anyway , I love the game cause it’s a Great War gun simulator. But don’t fall in the arcade and level balancing thing .
I play vr to be immersed and have fun .
Love tabor for the realism of all the mechanics but yeah.
Fix those old bugs cause they hurt them by the back and they loosing their notoriety.
The only thing I really hates is that they know of the major issues , yet they don't always fix it , or whenever they fix it something else break in an even bigger fashion , lately in raids i've been headshotted more time by scavs than any players , helmets weren't functioning as they should've as well , you know the little things that makes it important. Yet they are adding coffee machines(why???) and a bunker cat ?? Why ?

But nahh too complicated , it's gonna do nothing ! Just wait in bunker to regenerate.... Wich made me quit for a while alltogether

The cat is cute n all, but not spawning with my team mates when I’m holding their gear from last raid isn’t.
The cat is cool and all, but dying to the environment after killing a trio because I crouched to pick up a mag isn’t.

The cat is interesting and all, but the lack of missions variety for traders isn’t.
The cat is thicc and all, but one or all of my team having to restart the game after every match because it says we’re offline isn’t.

I love this game, and I don’t think that will change unless they somehow ruin it. I do totally agree with you though about a lot the faults, especially the game not being very beginner friendly. That’s prolly the main reason people aren’t playing as much. I do think most of the bad stuff is just simple bugs they could fix though, and isn’t the main game that’s broken. Features like the raid timer are good additions I think, but they need to focus on the bugs before they can add anything new. I’ve died to stupid bugs like getting glitched in walls or the stupid ai sniping me from 300 meters so I wish they could fix that stuff. Nice video though, I agree with you pretty much, have a nice day 😁

I agree you can't even complain about bugs on the discord without being met with "skill issue", can't even complain about my full kits not spawning or extracting. However, I haven't encountered a single other person who hasn't conceded to the fact that the extracting timer is better with a waiting period. Also "I just wanna relax and I hate losing my whole kit" is the most non-critique of the game I've ever heard. Like I don't wanna sound like the average tabor discord kiddie, but it sounds to me like you just wanna play pavlov my dude
I mean look I am not saying that it isn’t a horrible idea having the timer. But some people like to hop in, spawn at docks, clear out docks loot it. Walk look camp and walk to border. Good amount of loot fun quick route. But they completely ruined running routes like that to me by making you have to stay in raid. I understand where you’re coming from but there’s never fun in the lack of freedom. It should be up to the player to stay in raid for hop out. I play escape from tarkov which has the same concept but it’s just how they do it. Their map is big enough to do this concept on. But tabors just isn’t. None of them are big enough
@JudoPotat0 yes you raise a great point and I agree with you completely on that one. I wish maybe they could make a rly huge map with no wait for extracts to open but as we've seen with matka underground, that ain't gonna happen. But as someone who plays consistently I'd rather elect for more forced pvp encounters than raid after raid of never seeing anybody. It was too easy to get in and out before I could just loot the entire silo time after time because everyone was so quick in and out. Sorry to ramble but I too wish things could be another way but I think the wait time is necessary especially as you said with smaller maps
@@GenshinIntervention I agree about the wait time. And if I'm feeling like relaxing I can just go hide in a corner and then loot all the stuff people leave. You can make a fortune doing that, lol
about the traders, i spent 90 hours in the past wipe so far (im a no life i know that) and i have spectre 4 minty 4 and jiri 3 for ap and i didnt even grind missions the whole time. basically half was spent doing fun things like hitting purples screwing around etc. edit: the only bad thing about the kill missions is the small servers can ruin your kill streak sometimes and ruin a whole set of missions.

Me and my teammate got double headshot by a scav with an sks from 200 meters out while we were behind cover
And I once emailed Scott about a glitch where the torkev was one shoting through level 5 armor and 3 months later I got an email back saying that I was wrong and I was just not that good at tabor

5:35 you can actually put the suppressor in the bag, the thing is you have to angle it to a point where it literally isn't in the bag (like a 45° angle) it's just janky.
And you can fit a semi truck in a 2 story home if you disassemble it. I just feel like the suppressor should fit 😔

also i am sorry but i have played the game for over a year with 1200+ hours and its because im homeschooled and my friends are on tabor because i have no irl friends because of homeschool and im only 13 this makes me feel bad for shitting on people so hard but i cant help it because I die to bugs and bugs alone this wipe ive died 3 times 1 to a guy whos armor blocked 8 shells of buckshot to his head we had purp and orange i saw his face turn black with blood and we traded somehow then i died to an ak scav to the head from 100+ meters because they buffed the damn scavs again then the last time i died is because theres this new bug with pistols you have to let go of the pistol and pick it up a second time before it actually works and its annoying they focus on doing dumb shit instead like making scavs take a quarter health in one shot of a makarov like you said but like all these bugs that have been in the game for months and months
Dont be apologizing. I've never went to a real school in my whole life. I was homeschooled from birth. no hate to having time and being good at the game genuinely. it's more of a thing like I wish combat waffle would make something for me?? cuz I get destroyed DAILY. but don't apologize for being an absolute baller. yes legit there are so many bugs in this game currently and it sucks. VR Games are really hard to develop but I definitely think they could do better
@@JudoPotat0 yeah i get that dude they added a system where if you are below level 5 then you will only go in raid with other level 5s which is stupid because you can get past lvl 5 as a buttnaked in 2 raids so that doesnt help and they need to make training raids way harder like triple scav dificulty to teach the new kids what a player feels like without coming across one but i was pretty decent abt 2 weeks into the game because of 1 and a half years of prior experience in vr but some people dont have that so i agree sorry for the late ahhs response

I think that if you come to tabor to play a relaxing game then you're in the wrong, but I do agree that all of these bugs are so annoying and the devs need to grow up and realize they reflect their company.

my main issue with the game is that the community is full of young people. And their discord is also filled with them so if you want to complain abouta bug they will just shitstorm you non stop. And also if you want you can turn on "janky aim fix" in the settings and it made my guns feel more smooth

I played since the PC playtest before the quest testing, it has only changed slightly, but its still so fucking bad. I always get annoyed when i finish a raid because i remember i have to sort my stuff out, which is hard because everything is jank asf

I have no idea how something like this happens. I don't know if the guy was just cheating or if there was something else going on. All i know is that when things like that happen in this game its infuriating. I love ghosts. I also think everyone should spawn together and not be put in in waves. It screws you on loot.

My biggest gripes with the game aren’t even with the games setup itself, it’s the fucking servers. Me and my friend loaded into raid the other day with good guns and almost max armour and helmets for a vault run to go 2 minutes in and server crashes deleting both of our snowballing kits early wipe setting us back days. People will say that you can easily grind it back but neither of us have time to grind 24/7. And yes there are still other game breaking bugs like not being able to move on spawn and other shit that needs to be addressed too. The game is good but they really need to fix their shit if they want to keep a player base.

I do love tabor but what you stated I 💯 agree with. ( newly subscribed) Especially when the response is “it’s a skill issue sweetie” it just feels genuine grievances are ignored and you’re belittled. And the replies are quite arrogant in my opinion. My biggest problem with the game for me personally is when it crashes you rarely can rejoin. It just completely kicks you out and when your fully kitted with the best of everything and you’ve been in game for a minute or two then it crashes and you’ve just lost everything you worked hard for. Also I don’t sit on the game 24/7 I’m a mum so pretty busy but this game helps me to wind down. Sorry for the long rant lol.

In my opinion the only thing that’s bad for me is the locked exfills for like 10 minutes and the fact that they are a small company that’s also trying to make 2 more games while still developing this. Also I’m gonna say it’s also probably hard to combat bugs on completely different headsets that have polar opposite performance. Also this game has only been out for like a year, yes it’s really buggy but it’s still pretty good. Also In my opinion something that made this game a bit dull is the week long wipe event that bored out players. Idk about the future but it is gonna bright or terrible. Skill based matchmaking will ruin this game if it’s done wrong.
Forgot to include that I want to be able to remove and rearrange Gpus in the intel room

This is the appeal of the game. The reason you feel so good when you DO get out with gear is because of the risk reward payoff.
Tabor is not a "relax and VR" game, man.
It's part of the appeal.
"Scavs are too strong and inconsistent"
They're supposed to be used tactfully. Start using them to your advantage. Don't trigger them. Watch them to see who they're shooting at.
"I enjoy entering a raid and escaping immediately"
Again, you're wanting to remove the risk aspect of the game, which will in turn, only reduce the reward.

In summary, I say most of these do indeed seem like a skill issue ONLY because I was on the same side as you, until I switched up my play style. I consistantly get 2 - 3 kills per match, and make it out alive more often than not. Since then, I've gained a much greater appreciation for the things I disliked about it prior.

the only thing i hate about this game is when you die its so tedious to fucking make another loadout that it makes me wanna just get off. it takes so long to have to go from room to room and grab shit then buy shit you dont have then go to the trade room find it, and grab it. its so damn annoying, i love the game but if i die i give up because thats the hardest part
You can set up rigs as a favorite when at the shops. Then buy it from the favorite tabs in the shop room and it comes already built.
Genuinely I agree with you on so many levels. It’s so tedious and so extra to walk in die In a raid then take 45 minutes grabbing all what you need again.
@@astainlessnoyb1038 you still need to go to the stores and stuff to do that, I wish they scrap the store travel idea and just make a trade screen in the trade room or storage, and have another one of those trader booth item things in your armory so you don't have to walk back like 5 times
I like the stores. Maybe add an "online " website to buy on the market screen in the base for quicker buys. They already do it with the favorites so it would just be adding a few menu screens.

I agree. That's all I got when the game glitches n costs me hours of grinding, skill issue!?! I play at least 3-4 hours a day n when my armor or helmet doesn't work n I get one tapped with 9mm fmj, or when I crash over nothing n it respawns me in naked, why risk it

Yeah I agree that one of their main issues is that they are very juvenile in dealing with anyone critical of the game. They really need to work on that! And the grind is a little too much for most adults. Like I'm 38 with a business and in order to get anywhere I usually get up and play two hours before work every day, lol. which is just too much for most adults. The kids have more time. But I do agree with their decision to add the five minutes timer, though. And really, success in this game is so much more to do with resource management than anything else. I mean for me I'm certainly not great in the skill department but I can always do very well with careful resource management. And the pay to win thing is ridiculous. They should really start everyone off with the 500,000 rather than just the DLC people. Like a few guns is fine but having that starting money is way too big of an advantage over those who might not be able to afford it or whatever.
Yeah seriously it’s not even worth playing it at that point. I can’t imagine trying to juggle running a business and having to do ANYTHING in tabor other rhan spawning in and dying. It’s turning into such a grindy game and it just simply wasn’t like that day one
@@JudoPotat0 Yeah and it wouldn't be so bad at all if they weren't wiping so often. I mean the grind is kind of fun but who has time to do it every four months? For most people by the time they get to where they can afford to consistently bring half decent kits in, it's another wipe. So I think maybe if they cut the grind for the traders in half for now it would work out pretty well and then they can turn it back up when the game is in full release and they dial back the wipes to once every 8 months or so. Like last wipe I found myself saying " Oh I'll just take this wipe off" because who wants to go through that so often? I think they are losing a lot of players from that. I mean I think this is the best VR game out there and certainly the most fun I've had in any shooter in my 30 years of gaming but they really need to start taking the criticism more professionally. I don't mean caving to every demand - There is certainly a commendable angle to sticking to your position but you should also allow yourself to remain humble. Again I think they've created a potential masterpiece here but that could quickly change if they start losing players.

@@oneill6291 exactly. That’s my entire point of the video is just explaining why I think tabor is losing its playerbase. Because in recent months the player count really has dropped especially for streamers. A lot of them gave up on the game because it’s so grindy and repetitive. Their demographic is younger adults, kids and people in VR headsets. You aren’t gonna spend 1000000 hours in a vr headset trying to get something so minimal like a level 2 bag. People just don’t realize that the average battery life of a quest 2 / 3 is like 2 hours… APPEASE UOUR AUDIENCE kinda thing you know? I love combat waffle and I love tabor as a whole. Sometimes the community and the devs really pee in my wheaties in the morning
I´m an old fart and have a couple points with no order in importance.
1. This game is meant to be 18+ at least here in Europe. Kids shouldn´t be allowed and also destroy the immersion for older players. Another thing is, they have an advantage in this game. Let me explain: younger folks have a way higher endurance(guess I´m not the only guy who thinks VR is exhausting), but they wouldn´t have the strength in real life to carry all the guns n stuff with em around and proper aim with an assault rifle for instance.
2. Oh lord, buying editions and packages is clearly p2w(yes, I have em all too).
3. Why, just why you can team up a premade against solo players in this game? A mediocre team with 2 functioning brain cells will wipe entire lobbies.
4. Wonky gun handling, microstutters(very fun when you are in combat).
5. Darkness level on meta quest is too low. Everyone playing on PC knows you can turn it way higher there, which again gives an advantage in dark maps.

The games been out for a year plus they are trying to make 2 other games. The point of the game is to be hard thats what makes it fun.
I just wish it was more versatile is all I’m saying tbh. It’s only fun for the try hards to me but that’s my opinion
ive been playing for 8 months now and the raids feel alot more dead now then when i remember. im guessing its becuse everyone is playing showdown.
Seriously it's just so much duller now. the only ones I run into are the tryhards that don't talk to me then kill me or anything. they'll just kill me from a tree 200 m's out and crawl irl to my loot and drag it to another tree to sort

@@JudoPotat0 i will say some maps are better for some quest for others like going makita for the kill 15 scavs in 3 raids due to there being alot of them but its less of a skill issue and more of a design flaw i guess the idea is that so it would take time to level up them so that people dont get gear to fast and wipe out the new guys but most of the time leveling them up feel more like something you have to go out of your way to do and isnt really all to fun compared to just running in without worrying about missions

To be honest, five minute raid timer was a good change--it has forced folks to pvp a lot more. That being said, the bunker and med making need a SERIOUS balance. Not to mention the P2W aspecty that puts anyone without it WAYYY behind.

@@JudoPotat0 I can see why it wouldn't be--I think if they balanced gun availability in the market and gave more to lvl 1/2 trader levels it would probably lead to less naked runs and then the raid timer would matter less. Honestly, anything to cut down on naked runners getting a decent spawn and then all good loot disappearing instantly :P

Since showdown, I rather play more ploshised complete games,also when you cater more to your few streamers then your actual player base it leaves a sour taste, and the devs are arseholes that never hold themselves accountable. And the visuals on the 3 look horrendous,

Steam charts along with the viewers on tabors streaming tab on all streaming services. Queue times etc. and alot of my viewers/ friends refuse to play the game these days in the state it’s in

Skill issue is a term devs use when they dont want to hold themselves accountable for their broken game, blame everyone but themselves. Combat waffle seems to be the only onre with skill issues at developing a good game.

What’s the point of the extraction shooter if you don’t have to fight to get out. Just go in training and do this hahaha. You can’t expect to go into this type of game and expect it to be a “casual” game
Literally almost everything you talk about is actually a skill issue 💀 people with high level traders are literally going in with pvp missions and wiping as many people as they can before anyone else can get the kill. The first wipe I ever played I was actual dog at the game. Second wipe I changed my play style and got better aim and I’ve managed to snag more higher tier guns and equipment than I’ve ever even touched.
I agree there’s a lot of bugs and stuff when it comes to guns dropping after death or ai beaming you but that’s part of the risk that you should already be aware that it will happen.
The only bug that has actually ever pissed me off was when I was getting the jump on 2 players and the reracking was absolutely jammed and broken.
Ai this current wipe is seriously broken getting one tapped by an sks in the head. But easy fix. Shoot them in the head before they kill you.
Honestly you cry a lot about so many minuscule thing, no patience with putting stuff in your bag, kids merking you, constantly dying with your gear load out.
That was just my 2¢. From my own personal experience losing your gear is devastating but that’s where the fun is. Don’t get so strung up on those deaths (unless it’s an unfixable bug like getting stuck somewhere or your gun doesn’t work) cuz at the end of the day it’s a vr extraction shooter. You’re supposed to one up everyone in a gun fight for the loot. You have to know how to clear rooms and make sure it’s safe before crossing. You can’t expect it to just hand feed you the loot and then hold your hand to get out. At that point you’re playing a looting simulator rather than an extraction shooter
you're missing my entire point dude xD. I am saying you should have the freedom to do that. it makes it more fun because it varies the type of raids instead of just doing the exact same thing over and over but my opinion !!

All you need to do is read the other comments 1 and 2 I may have not made it clear enough on how I explained it. I think you shouldn’t have to take 30 hours or to be a goat to get your trader levels to atleast 2. Any higher and yeah it should take time. But level 2 shouldn’t take as long as it does. Just so more casual people could have some decent guns instead of SKS or MP40. And a sling bag… I’ll make a video on the future further explaining some comments and you’ll probably be included

It’s hard, get over it. It’s a survival game you should run into problems even if it is a small bug. You’re gonna get some stupid things when you play games like these. But sometimes you gotta give them a break because they do fix the issues and it does take time. It’s meant to be a rage inducing game and hard and you need to be prepared for anything even it’s a bug. It’s a losing and gaining game where whatever you gain your eventually gonna lose it no matter how much gear fear you have or how long you leave it to rot in your bunker. And I get the bugs but the players have nothing to do with the hardcore gaming that it is. All vr games need there work and ghost of tabor does need work but for what it is it is definitely a very good game and although the bugs it is a well rounded game.
