By crossing them, it acts to cradle the tongue should the hitch fail!! Ask me how I know!! I have been told that was a Federal DOT law at one time, but I can't say that it is for sure. Go Team Holmes!!
Tanner, FYI. Cross your trailer chains. If the trailer ever comes off, it acts as a catch so the nose of the trailer won't dig into the pavement. . Happened to me. Good job
Jim Maxson I got pulled over for doing them strait like she did it.the trooper rode next to me for a little bit and then lit me up. He said the reason I pulled u over is for your Safety chains. I said oh no did one come off thinking one come loose. He said no their both hooked up but r wrong. I guese he could tell I was confused and told me how they r supposed to b and why. I kinda laughed and said heck that does make since don't it. He was real nice and said I just get a ver le this time but then he told me people will argue and tell him that it's not the law and he said he gives them a ticket and tells them good luck telling the judge that it's not have a good day

Carly. You should always cross the chains on trailer if it come off the ball it don't hit ground .don't get me wrong I'm glad to see you doing it .it's just a safety thing .
Not really, theres a lot more in that trailer then just "one kart" there's enough parts to rebuild that kart in case of any mishaps, wheels and tires, fuel, tools, pretty much it's their mobile shop! Not to mention when you got it like that......
