  • The 19km (11.8 miles), sixteenth day of the Camino Frances takes us even farther into the Meseta with its nearly flat walking. Most of the route is on unpaved roads and paths.

Thanks. As I recall, you plan on walking the Camino some day, so I hope this is getting you revved for that.

I did this section in 35* heat, it nearly boiled my brain , had to take an unscheduled rest day to recover .
Great videos , enjoying your Camino 🙏🏼

As we walked through this section, we kept congratulating ourselves on choosing a cooler time of the year. Glad you survived the heat. Whoo! And thanks for watching. Happy you're enjoying the videos.

If I was ever feeling lost on the Camino, on the next sign I saw, I would double-tap it with my walking stick. If It was too high, I'd tap the ground!

5:00 --- It's the popular hymn titled "Salve Regina". The particular musical setting that she's singing is attributed to Hermann von Reichenau _aka_ Hermannus Contractus, the 11th century Benedictine monk and scholar. If you'd be interested in a sweet instrumental arrangement of this setting, I'd recommend to search for Therese Schroeder-Sheker. --Waving from Istanbul.

Thanks so much for the information! The singer had told me some of that, but I forgot it. Silly me. So now I know. Really appreciate your comment.
