1946, a Gozitan sold to my uncle ( to his shop) a basket of fresh goats cheese which my uncle on sold to his customers. Some of the cheeses were pickled in vinegar and pepper. Gbejnit I think is correct term for goats (or shoats) cheese. I, by the grace of God, had the pleasure of tasting this speciality for the first time.
