Breaks my heart!!! The full company (cast, crew, musicians, and creative team) out of a job but also this show being a national treasure landmark to NYC!!! Broadway will never be the same again without it. On a personal note as an actor myself, I've auditioned for the show several times. I just feel like I failed as a performer. To be part of this family and singing those songs on the Majestic stage ... even yet to play The Phantom!!! So Not fair. So upsetting.

Lot of us have a long history of auditioning for the show and wanting to sing that score LIVE on the stage of the Majestic Theatre. One of my Guilty pleasure roles was to play "The Phantom". With it closing, this notes that I FAILED as an actor!!
It's not going to close forever is it?? 😭😭😭 I've wanted to see this at Broadway forever and now I can't!? Will it ever come back?? Is it going to go on a State tour?? Ahhh!!
Let’s hope it’s not wicked or lion king or Chicago . But from what I can see on insta wicked is still going strong thank goodness cause they’re always posting on their insta stories of people at the show so
It's time to make way for LOVE NEVER DIES. At one time criticized as "Paint Never Dries," its story has been much re-worked on during its Australian production to critical acclaim. It's 2018 U.S tour had mixed reviews. But it's overall show is a spectacle. However many news articles are calling it a prequel when Love Never Dies is a sequel in maybe another timeline. However, the ending of Phantom of The Opera is a bit abstract leaving it up to the viewer to interpret it.
I remember I first saw it in des moines Iowa when I was 6 and being amazed by it I got to see it on broadway when I was a senior in high school and to see it go after all this time is a shock
Only Andrew Lloyd Webber himself knows when the show will return to Broadway. And whether or not it will be replica or non replica. Broadway or Off-Broadway.
Once it closes, the Schubert Organization that owns the Majestic Theater, is going to have to invest multiple millions on MAJOR repairs and upgrades, it's not like they can't afford to.
and sadly, the Closing with a Crawford in the title role didn't happen due to Ben Crawford being on vocal rest, and Michael Crawford couldn't be their eithert due to emergency dental work per his Twitter.
Despite the economic downturn, I'm having the best time of my life financially. Earning over $83k in the last 2months with an investment of $19,000. Money can be made even in a bear market. Make the most of it.

I can't believe it, I never thought Phantom would end.
It will be weird going to NYC and not see Phantom posters anymore. Very saddening. Might have to go up there to catch the show one last time.
