This is an awesome video once again. Loved everything. You brighten my day, as I am the primary caregiver for my husband with a rare cancer. Now lots of chemo related visits. Taking the wind out of my sails. Keep it coming. (We are both from the UP.

My first visit to your channel and I really enjoyed all of the cross stitch work you both displayed, beautiful stuff! Totally jealous of your hauls, you have so much wonderful stitchery ahead of you! What a sweet surprise to get to see baby tortoises! I had a pet African Desert tortoise for many years, he was nearly as little as your babies when I first got him and he grew to about 14 inches in diameter. I didn't catch what kind of tortoises yours are, but the certainly are beautiful and adorable, all at once! Your quilts are just lovely. I have a desire to make an applique quilt, I have hand pieced and quilted a few small baby sized ones over the years and a couple of years ago I fell in love with a specific applique pattern so your channel will urge me on in that endeavor! I have subscribed and look forward to your future episodes!
Welcome, Deb! Thank you so much for watching! Nice to have a fellow tortoise lover on board. Sorry you don't have it anymore. I have Indian Star tortoises. I rescue turtles and tortoises and the female and male came to me a couple years ago from a man going into a nursing home. They are beautiful!😊

Kathy Owens, owner of The Cross Stitch Cupboard gave me a wonderful suggestion for stitching with white.... use DMC Floche instead. Thicker and only need 1 thread. She is wise and I was pleased with my finish

One of your turtles keeps running into the glass and the goes back really fast to the other end. I hope it’s ok. I love watching them. I always love to see what you both have been up too. Especially quilting.
Thanks for watching, Connie! The yellow albino turtles don't see very well because of the red pigment in their eyes and they don't see the acrylic walls of the tank. They don't get injured though. I don't move decorations around so they know where most obstacles are.

An hour ten, and I still didn’t want it to end! Beautiful FFO’s Jeannie. And love both of your WIPS. Jeannie, when you stitch on 20 count, do you just stitch over one thread? I’m assuming so but wondered about how hard it is on the eyes. Leanne, your quilt is magnificent. The patchwork shams and then the appliqué pillow for on top, amazing. Love all the colors. Can’t wait to see everything on your bed! Interesting info on the turtles and tortoise. Thanks for the pictures and them in real time too. I love the name Valdani for the other hatched turtle😁. Jeannie, I hate the memory foam mattress. Our son has one and we had to sleep on it when we visited. I don’t get how people actually like them. Happy stitching gals and enjoy your trip!
I do use only one thread over one on 20 count. But I like 2 threads over 1 on 18 count.
I hope I don’t need to experience a memory foam mattress ever again. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Love The entire floss tube, but the symphony piece and then the applique huge pillow were my favorites, along with the darling baby turtles. What a fascinating hobby. I have always liked turtles.

I am in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY where we do not have any cross stitch shops. We have one machine/ fabric/yarn shop. There is a larger one in Queens, NY. So most of my shopping is online.
I think more of our shopping will be online as the nearest cross stitch store now will be 3 hours away.😢 Thanks for watching!
Ronnie and Belgonni…perfect names. I hope it sticks. Question: the albino turtles….what number of dmc is the colour of their shell? Are their eyes a different colour than non-albino turtles? I wish I could go shopping with you two….but it is safer for my wallet that I am not even in the same country.

Thanks for watching! The tortoises are called Indian Star tortoises and they originate from Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka. I rescue turtles so I received my male and female from a man in Ohio that was going into a nursing home a few years ago.😊
