Wow! Thanks so much Gary!!! Just looked at my channel and saw that the subscriber count jumped massively! 😁 Then of course saw you had this new upload... I am very honoured and really appreciate it anyway. Another great video from you of course with great images, and well done on your 50k+ views for your last one!
Thank you Gary, another awesome video, loved all the photos, especially the the lighthouse reflection shots. So uplifting your Vlogs, your enthusiasm is contagious.
Gary, just got a cup of coffee and sat and watched your video, as usual great stuff, stunning images and your enthusiasm is there for all to see, really appreciate the time you go to creating these. I have been a photographer for over 30 years but your creativity and commentary really inspire me, cheers Ian
Gary, Congrats on the 5K subscribers. That's an excellent accomplishment. I just wanted to tell you that I really like what you said today in your intro. It really hit home with me as I sit with 74 subscribers on my landscape photography channel and struggle week to week with how to attract more subscribers. Your video helped put some perspective on what I have been doing, and reminded me that I am not the only content provider out there trying to gain a following. You helped to re-energize me. Thanks and cheers!
Hi Gabriel. Just reiterating what Paul said. Just keep going and the Subs will come. I have subbed to your channel too :) Just one small criticism if I may. Your camera is very shaky when it's hand held. It's actually difficult to watch. Doesn't it have a stabilizer?
Brilliant yet again Gary, lovely shots as usual,,,,Thanks again, Bob.

Thumbs up ere' Gary, well done on over 5,000 subscribers and sending some love for another new channel - we all start somewhere!!!! Another great vlog and some great shots Gary - look forward to your next :)
Gary, you knocked it out of the park with those lighthouse shots, both long & reg. exp. I too love to break the rules, this may partially explain why I had such difficulties in elementary school, those poor teachers! Moving out of the comfort zone with respect to the Rule of Thirds on those horizon shots sure brought the dramatic skies out... Well done sir, Bill Farr...
Very New To Photography And I Am So Glad I Came Across Your Channel Gary,You Explain In Real English Which I Think In Photography Is Much Needed. Thanks So Much For Giving Us Novices A Great Easy Way Into This Fantastic Hobby.Bravo Gary Gough.
Thats a new location I need to add to the list, at this rate I will have to live to 150 to shoot all the places I want to visit. Thanks for this video Gary your enthusiasm is infectious. Great work mate, congratulations on reaching 5k
Good move, Gary. Love the low horizon with the turbines in the background. Also love the shot with the lighthouse with the faster shutter speed darkening the scene. WOW that orange sunset just pops.
Hi Gary, I found Davids channel last month and he has a real talent and I'm sure given time he will soon be breaking the 1000 subscriber mark I share his videos as I do with yours so hopefully he will get noticed more and more. Like your laid back easy going style and the fact that you don't go on (and on and on and on!!) about your gear. who cares whether its the latest mirrorless camera, super DSLR, entry level camera or a box brownie!1 the best lens we have are those either side of our nose. well done mate keep them coming fantastic inspiration.

watching your videos, reminds that pressing shutter button should be fun. even if something go wrong. i found that i am shooting about same places as you do. and its so cool to see, that by being in the same place, everyone has different shots. obviously mine are not paid ones, just a hobby, but its nice to see that somebody else is able to get up early in the morning, jump in the car, have 3 hour drive to shot some photos. 500px.com/baranovskyphoto
Gary, huge fan mate! Down with an ACL surgery and your videos are making the time go by much more pleasant! If you can at some point do a tut on " editing like Gary " in lightroom that would be super! Regardless you have a fan for life! A South African living in the US. Cheers!

Just discovered your channel. Lovely images and very atmospheric. One question please, in order to relate to your camera settings, are you using a full frame or cropped sensor camera? Thank you.
Tony Turner - hi Tony. My go to camera although I didn't use it in this video (being repaired) is a Canon 5D MKIII. My cameras are full frame. Not sure what camera you use but any camera will suffice.
Gary Gough thanks Gary. I use a Canon 70D and, the reason for my question was to 'interpret' your focal length settings with my crop sensor in order to achieve similar perspectives to your 'masterpieces'! Your reply was appreciated.
do you use the CDs under the legs to stop it from sinking? I used to use flat stones, but now I've seen a few videos where they've used old CDs. So i've dug out Vanilla Ice, Steps and Aquas greatest hit. That should do me for a while :)
Just stumbled onto your channel - great stuff. I live in Cheshire so I'm always keen to discover local content to explore with my camera. Thanks! A question about your picture of the lighthouse you show at about 8:45mins into the vid - the caption says that the exposure is 1/120sec - that can't be right, can it? It looks like a long exposure for sure - maybe 120sec?!
Hi, glad you like my video and thanks for the great comments. I see you noticed my muppetry :) It should of read 120 seconds yes. I used a template and forgot to remove the "1/" if you know what I mean :)
Well done on reaching 5K. Are you sure thats only coffee Gary you are drinking, cream cake also lol. So looking forward to Isle of Sky, Now need to get out and get some practise in, with filter etc.
lol actually it was cherry juice. I always eat healthily as you know. My philosophy is to always eat fruit after a good curry, rice, chips and garlic naan. :)
Hi Gary, First excellent videos i like your infectious style and enthusiasm at 5.56 the shot of the sunset and perch rock light house you give the settings as iso 100 F8 exp 1/120 sec but the image to me seems like a long exposure with a ten stop do you mean 120 secs of exp . Regards Ste.
stephen mcnally - hi Stephen, Just a case of muppetry. It’s definitely a 2 minute exposure. Like you said. I’ve copied a pasted it and didn’t remove the 1/ Well spotted 👍🏻
Ahh, you are a photographer! I was waiting for you to climb into the lighthouse and explore. Really would like to see that...maybe something for you to mull over?

Nice images, come to Murcia in Spain it's 40 degrees plus at the moment, can't take photos because of heat haze. But it's fantastic here in winter!
Sounds like a plan! Winter it is then. Do you have a spare room? :)
Gary Gough
No but there is a BnB in my village at 20e a night 😆
You got some cracking shot's, definitely a place I need to add to my list of photoshoot's. Great that you have hit 50k subscribers I think I have about 5 but to be fair I haven't put much content out!

Cheers Fred. Railway channel? I'll take a look
have you seen my Flying Scotsman video?
Gary Gough hi yep I watched that when you did it .....thumbs up from me .....fred
The shot not on the rule of thirds Gary, I think it works because the colour of the see is a mirror of the cloud colour. No legs.....Great video .
It's probably my favourite one too. More legs to come I promise ;)
Just discovered your channel. Lovely images and very atmospheric. One question please, in order to relate to your camera settings, are you using a full frame or cropped sensor camera? Thank you.

Tony Turner - you're very welcome. Thanks for the great comments and good luck.
The first one with the wave breakers is stunning! Nailed it. Do you not have a problem with camera shake when you put the tripod in the water?
I have an issue if the camera sits on the sand in the water. The camera was stood on rock so it's generally not too bad :)
do you use the CDs under the legs to stop it from sinking? I used to use flat stones, but now I've seen a few videos where they've used old CDs. So i've dug out Vanilla Ice, Steps and Aquas greatest hit. That should do me for a while :)

Was meaning the evidence of your shirt Gary, wouldn't dear imply anything else.
