Do you guys bring an empty suitcase? I went to Japan in October, barely bought anything but had to look for available space in everyone's suitcases as I had none. Of course I only took a carry on bag for my 2 week trip. I've heard of people using their suitcase space and shipping their clothes home. Just wondered about your strategy!

If your airline allows two check in luggage per person, I recommend bringing an empty luggage especially if you or your travel group are going to buy lots of stuff. During one of my trips, I had to buy an extra large luggage from Don Quijote since I only brought 1 check in luggage and the figure boxes I bought were way too big to fit.
