Bostridge is definitely and steadily becoming one of my favourite tenors after hearing his 'Great Handel' album where he sings this as well. His diction and clarity of tone are fantastic. Bravo!
I am more amazed each time I listen. That wonderful crystal clear well-placed tone floats and dances over an intense column of air making it sail gloriously in that massive hall. Even the fastest runs speak with stunning clarity, and the period appropriate ornamentation is impeccable. Combined with excellence of the two extremely fine orchestras this is a phenomenal exhibition of musicality and excellent performance practice by all Thanks for sharing this treasure..
Ian Bostridge at his very best! Early on he had some very sound coaching from the late Esther Salaman ( Author of Unlocking your voice - Freedom to sing) Surely that basis has stood him in good stead for his own impressive development. Such a wonderful artist.
Such a wonderful tenor voice! Acis Love sounds th'alarm, And fear is a-flying! When beauty's the prize, What mortal fears dying? In defence of my treasure, I'd bleed at each vein; Without her no pleasure, For life is a pain. Love sounds. . . da capo

Glorious voice and energy! Loved this!
With Bostridge's voice, I fell into the deep soul of the composer.
Sentirlo cantare è una gioia profonda.
Grazie Mister Bostridge
Best tenor on the world stage, his recording of art song, Lieder, and Handel are, and should, be the first port of call for any budding tenor.

Une telle unité et simplicité dans cette interprétation sont le fruit d'un très grand art. Bravissimo

Ian Bostridge: Niles Crane as an opera singer.
I would have married him when I was a young girl.We would have made music together.
adequate quite aptly describes him, good job!
The woman on the left front is giving it some stick. And rightly so.
That's the great Rachel Podger - and give it some stick she certainly can!
Eminent professor of baroque violin etc..
These facial expressions are nothing compared to Peter Pears.
