So my hose busted this last weekend and I order this part and was able to install it with some elbow grease by Tuesday when the part came in. One thing I did have to learn is cutting the hose. I had to use my cutter/grinder to get that clean cut. Thank you for making this video!!
When you cut hose in half, you have installed this on one end of the hose. What about the other end? Do you install another one on the other end and then how do you connect the two pieces together again? This is the main part I want to know.
What’s sad is these parts are expensive to the point you should just replace the hose. But I would like to leave a suggestion put the high pressure hose in regular 1/2 pipe insulation and add tape every 2 feet. This does protect the hose from the vibration and the corners of concrete. I’ve had my hoses last a lot longer.

What did you use to cut the hose? I bought a couple of these from Russ a couple years ago, just not getting a clean cut on the hose.
Have you tried a heated blade?
Whats it called and where can I get one?
We have a gx340 with comet 4040 pump.
Which surface cleaner do you recommend? Budget $400. Thanks.
