I think it's incredibly telling that Anby is the very first character the game lets you play as. She is basically the fundamental character of the game. She's stupidly simple, she has a special mechanic in the 4th hit being chargeable, and she highlights the importance of stun characters while being one herself, making her almost always useful. She is absolutely cooked, in the good way.
Not jsut 4th hit - if you do the combo quests itll tell you she can basically animation reset at that moment using her special or ex move to come out quicker, doing so even leads back into the combo starting I think at the third hit to charge for thunder lmao

SAME. i'm not usually interested in fighting games or similar but I adore this game and I enjoy the combat and I actually want to understand and get better at it. so glad I found this channel and we need more like it.
Same for me. I'm not a fighting game player at all but I like zzz so much that I'm trying to learn. The game probably would've gotten way less backlash if it wasn't released by mihoyo tbh. People were expecting another game like genshin or starrail and they keep comparing them, even tho there are barely any similarities besides maybe the gacha / energy system. Of course they won't like it. Even if some people say it's not like that, the game is just bad. I simply cannot agree with that. Not only because of my personal opinion but because A LOT of people who did not enjoy other hoyo games do very much enjoy zzz. Why is that? Because they literally had no expectations and they probably already enjoy fighting games. The game is great for what it is. It won't be the next genshin or starrail and that's okay. They will have their own niche of players, as it should be.

ZZZ took fighting game aspects/ mechanics and made them easy to pull off in game. Imagine watching a “bad” fighting game player, play with just a characters normals/ strings in like SF or MK and then say “oh this game sucks”. All I said was zzz took aspects of FG’s, and made them easy to pull off. Obviously at its core it’s a hack a slash gacha game I’m not clueless. But it’s very free flowing and non-restrictive with how it lets you use your characters and your team. This allows you to do interesting things and you can get creative even with just the base roster
the reason why people say the game is just mashing is bc it kinda can be just mashing for the vast majority of time. combine that with the fact that a lot of characters in this game have a high skill floor what makes easy to get value. but that song will change as soon as they notice they stop getting S rank for completing their stages.
considering half the game is basically a tutorial for end game i think people who say this are dumb as hell. even more wild if these people are genshin players. a game where you can mash in all content except for the abyss
@@zix1257 they're most likely ex-genshin players since the loud minority of that group tends to complain about the littlest things all day every day and sometimes use false information to criticize whatever it is they decide to hate that day. it's just an angry group of loud kids. pay no mind to them. but yeah there are probably some current genshin players who say that too cuz the loud and stupid twitter genshin players never read or pay attention to the most obvious things and then complain about something they wouldn't be complaining about if the just payed attention, for 2 seconds, to the game they're spending their time for however many years they've been playing it.
@@zix1257 I have played Genshin, Star Rail and now ZZZ. Story is always easy. The Abyss equivalent is "hard" (just know what to do and you will clear after some farming tine). Plus people complaining being low level is kinda stupid

I'm definitely seeing how difficult this can be trying to squeeze in S ranks on Shiyu Defense, and now that I got used to doing Ellen rotations I somehow managed to forget how to parry instead. Still, how long does it take to get to this point? It's fair for people to complain when it takes 20-30 hours to complete the tutorial. This is the same problem people have with the TV exploration - when you reach the later parts of chapter 1 and chapter 2 the TV exploration gets more interesting, but the first experience people have with it is basic movement and Sokoban. People who remember how Hoyo does things know to expect this long tutorial but that doesn't make the complaints invalid. A game that gets good after the first 20 hours is still a game that's bad during the first 20 hours. I'm not saying that ZZZ is bad either, but if you're in it for the combat, skip the story, and hate TV exploration stuff, you're going to have a bad time.
I feel like Sokaku or any slow-attacking character is a great way to learn the basic building blocks of combat in this game. Because you can't just spam attacks and you can really focus on practicing movement and monitoring your assists.
That or just swap cancel her really long animations. Do it right and you'll be 2v1ing everything in the game with her on the team. Granted she can still get hit but she can take it.
So a note about Nicole that actually makes her even better that what you already give her credit for: The defense debuff is also triggered from her enhanced basic and enhanced dash attack. Not just the orb hitting. So as long as you’re weaving Nicole’s attacks into your combos every 3.5 seconds, and using her skill/charged basic attack to reload the enhanced shots, you can have her defense debuff active forever. Also she’s the only character I know of at the moment that has a unique backdash attack, which is just pretty cool. (Edit: Didn’t notice it before, but this also reloads her enhanced shots. That’s sick)
I find it pretty easy to just attack once or twice in your normal rotation, as if you just cycle through all 3 in order instead of going back and forth you get plenty of opportunities!

Slightly off topic, but Zhu Yuan is probably the best early pull for F2P players in terms of efficiency. Nicole and her signature engine is on her banner and both their priority disc drive sets are on the same instance. For anyone that knows the brutal grind of relic farming, having two characters on the same comp, that share the same element, and have relic sets from the same instance is literally game changing for an early game account. Nicole is literally the Pela of ZZZ, and she is likely not going anywhere anytime soon. EDIT: Because bullet generation is important, Zhu Yuan's offset 2PC disc drive will likely be Swing Jazz which is also Nicole's 4PC. So one instance of disc drive farming literally covers everything, but Nicole's offset, which in most cases would be Freedom Blues. 3/4 relic coverage for 2 characters in one instance is fucking wild. Honestly, close to unethical.
A huge part of why I’m skipping Ellen for Zhu Yuan is her synergy with Nicole, and I’m stoked that she is on Zhu Yuan’s banner. I can’t wait to use them together, hoping to get several Nicole copies while pulling.

@@plvto1 honestly, this shit on day one rivals present honkai impact with their unhinged maximized burst combos, but when lil bro starts going about infinite juggle i'm like hell nah. I find it really hard to believe that late game will let you do that even if it looks cool on paper. Both shiyu and hollow zero are time based, which means one should focus on dishing out maximum damage in the shortest span of time possible, and that infinite juggle energy regen thing just sounds like a major waste of time. No hate, just seems like a weird flex, and i might be wrong but to prove that we'd need to see some cooking live on camera.
Grace should be in this list ngl Her basic attack has a lot of mobility, it can somewhat teach you how to play ranged characters and she's a good example of how a anomaly character should work
Just wanted to say, personal top 5 is probably Ben, he is probably the best supplement stun unit if you couldn't get your hands on Koleda or Lycaon, his daze multipliers are really good, making the occasional impact sub-stat on your gear a blessing, that and he is good to learn watching your enemies behaviour as you want to counter as much as possible with his skill.
tbh i really felt soldier 11, to the point that when i got soldier 11 instead of ellen instead of being sad i was like "OH MY GOD I WON THIS GAME, ANOTHER ATTACKER FOR ANOTHER TEAM" because she's huge and you also forgor to mention that she also teaches you not to mash, considering soldier 11 is a more methodical unit where you have to know how to time your attacks properly, aswell as saving your skill and saving your ultimate because they're really expensive, she really teaches you the ways of playing more methodically, not mashing, actively think what you're doing, to me it helped me a lot, because instead of focused on pressing the buttons harder and faster, im always thinking "oh i have to wait a bit to get my fire supressions, oh i nearly have my skill to unga bunga a little for like 2 full combos, oh im about to have my burst i think i have enough time before the enemy's daze goes off", she teaches you this kind of gameplay simply because you get rewarded for it, more than any other character if you ask me, you get like what, 70% extra DMG bonus because of fire supression if max talent, her burst deals 3000% just at lvl 6 which teaches you to save your burst for CERTAIN characters so you get more DMG, she teaches you how to swap cancel with her skill, overall a very strong very FUN to play character, with a higher skill expression than most other attackers if you ask me
That's what I learned from Lycaon. That pause to activate the charge attack, and the situational awareness it forces you to have so you're ready to do a dodge counter or a quickswap-parry.
Coming across your channel for ZZZ is such a blessing. I initially thought I will not enjoy ZZZ because I'm very unfamiliar with the combat style but watching your videos really helps in my gameplay!
Hey iyo I just wanted to say I appreciate your content. Almost every other creator gets stuck in drama and clickbait videos, and you consistently give us game related content to watch and enjoy. Thank you for remembering what's important and giving us something to escape our own personal drama rather be caught up in someone else's.
What I love about this game is how flexible builds can be. If you look at any website for builds and team compositions for Genshin or HSR, they will be the same across all those websites. Even for freshly released characters. But for ZZZ there is no single opinion on how you should optimally build your characters. There are some things like bis weapons and bangboos, but that's it. Maybe it's due to the game being fresh, not enough theory crafting has yet been made. But still, lots and lots of flexibility
For me, it's: 1. Anby: Electric Cunning Hares is a easy slot for a good amount of teams 2 & 3. Lucy and Piper: the fire/physical duo has a good amount of DPS characters, plus easy anomaly with off field DPS is pretty strong right now 4. Nicole: CC can help a good amount of DPS characters in the game, especially with Anby/Nekomata for Electric or Physical teams 5. Corin/Anton: the constant attacks on easy to get characters can rack up damage easily, especially with Anby or Lucy/Piper. Plus, it's easy to get characters stunned for these characters to just delete health bars There you have a DPS, a stunner, an anomaly trigger, and 2 supports to help you learn the mechanics of the game. Some of these are obtained just by playing the game, so almost everyone can benefit from these changes
My MAN. Out of all the guide videos I’ve watched for ZZZ in the past few days since launch, this one takes the cake. LOTS of useful information here - even for someone like me who was already invested in reading all the skills and paying attention to what the game tells me. It’s just helps me hone in on the skills/concepts/characters I want to focus on, and that’s something I really appreciate. I already wanted to fully build out Anby and Nicole, and now I have EVEN more of a reason to. I LOVE building the F2P characters and ACTUALLY having them put in the work. I’ll be ready for Zhu Yuan with this! Fire content man, keep it up.

Your vids have been so informative and made me go from just enjoying the combat to really really starting to love it. I still kinda suck but i've been getting better at anby and soldier 11's basic attack patterns and using swap-ins and its been very very satisfying to improve and see the difference in dmg it makes. Waiting till Zhu Yuan to pull for a limited character but really excited to see what kind of kits the dev team will come up with in the future and how different characters will interact with each other. Keep making these vids you're absolutely carrying the gameplay side of zzz content creation :)

Kind of annoyed they removed damage type synergy with - Slash, Strike + Pierce. In testing it allowed for more team composition. Like Anby (Slash), Nicole (Strike) + Lycaon (Strike). Or Anby (Slash), Nicole (Strike) + Soldier 11 (Slash). Anby and Nicole are same team so special ability would activate. Then Lycaon being the same as Nicole (Strike) or Soldier 11 being the same as Anby (Slash) would also allow their special abilities and to be active. No idea why they removed this. Now its only same team or same element (attribute). Liked and Subbed. You are the only person I've seen who goes in depth into the fighting mechanics which is what I appreciate. Its the main reason I was interested in ZZZ. Thanks. Also I would also get Grace or Rina to synch with Anby. More Grace for Anomaly build-up.
I change my mind about zzz. At 34 now and starting to feel the difficulty spike. Also, knowing Anby's trick rly make a clear difference in result so now im interested on exploring other characters' kits too. Keep up the good work man

This has been one of the best gaming channels. Pretty much have been going through your recent videos today since I just started and they have been super helpful! I played a lot of honkai impact 3rd until Genshin and cut myself off. But this game looked so fun as well as the gameplay looked like it flowed better. Got lucky today and got Nekomata and lycoan, so now still pulling for Ellen to get my shark girl ice dream going!
Best ZZZ info vid on TH-cam much better than the standard in a vaccum tier list vids going around, subscribed. Pulled Soldier 11 in one single on Ellen banner and then again on 50 guarantee and was feeling kinda bad about it, but after playing and learning her mechanics can agree she is an amazing accidental pull, I love her.

I'm also on the positive side on the ZZZ space because I love the vibes and how flashy and fluid the combat system is. I really actually like the cunning hares as the intro, basic team you get. They completely capitalize off of wanting to be played a certain way (even if you can beat the game not doing so at the start), they embody their specific roles, and get you to switch what ult you use and when depending on what result you want (since you can only can only use one every so often, and their ults have different damage and utilities), and Nicole really highlights that you can get different results from the same move with different inputs.
I am impressed on how detailed and non biased your views are. This helps a lot for a new player like me that never played the beta. Thank you and im looking forward on more tips from you. Maybe can you discuss rotations effectively on battle and dailies?

As a fg player, I feel like we might be throwing out the term "setplay" a little too loosely lol I'm also shocked you didn't mention Piper. She isn't the most flashy to play but she is kind of insane with what she brings to the table. Disorder will probably be pretty huge down the line and her being able to trigger it with Assault on top of that means you can practically forgo needing a stunner. Her and Lucy are a pretty nuts core rn for just being a pair of A ranks. Glad to see people warming up to Nicole now. I've been telling people since day 1 that she'll be a great investment down the line.
Got S11 as my first S rank from the begginers and was kinda bummed because i wasnt crazy for her design. Then lost the 50/50 and got Another copy. While i would prefer a second s rank i recognise that S11 kit is is so complex yet perfect for a new player teaching them to think outside the box when creating team rotations that it keeps me addicted to the game. Fire Suppression is great character kit design but i cant imagine why hoyo didnt yapped for paragraphs for how to trigger it😅 It is really great how you can analyse the combat from such a different perspective Keep up the good work

I am still pretty early game (working to level 26) but I've really been enjoying a team of any corin and Nicole I need to get soldier 11 leveled and built some
favorite thing about anby's kit is that her special counts doesnt just not interrupt her basic string, but it counts as a delay, so instead of having to choose between n3->special or n3->hold/delay enhanced n4, she can do n3->special->enhanced n4 without any holding or delaying required and it chains so well.
For those who crave harder combat experience, just keep trucking on!! The dev talk with SF creator roundtable has confirmed that the current easy gameplay is by design, they are fully aware of the difficulty before the game was even released. They want everyone to ease into the game before ramping up the difficulty. Have no doubt, they have already designed challenged boss fights for the future patches, the dev said so.

S11 is definitely one of the most fun characters to play but also one of the most hardest character to master. Many people simply said "just learn to timing her attacks" But the enemies isn't so dumb to let u focus on timing her attacks. The enemies will try to hit u while u r timing ur attacks which u mustn't focus all ur focus to time her attacks cuz by then u will forget to parry or dodge the enemies attacks. Basically u need to muscle memorize her timing so u can spread ur focus on the enemies as well. But Her EX skill has insane daze multiplier this makes her even without stunner she can fill quite amount of daze. So with her timing and skill it kinda makes u want to use her skill during the enemies non daze state while the enemies in daze state u can time ur attacks safely. But ofc against multiple enemies u still need to dodge during timing her attacks. Her burst has insane multiplier so u obviously want to use it when the enemies in daze state. S11 is a definition of learn,practice and master the chara ter. If u can keep timing her attacks successfully u will feel a satisfaction. But I am sure a lot of people who hate S11 is cuz they love just mashing the button without care and S11 requires the exact opposite of that.
the part about using a skill before the EX bar is charged up enough hits home. coming from Genshin, I'm so used to being unable to use a skill until cooldown ends, being unable to use ult until energy is full. So my monkey brain goes "no shiny skill button, no press". i only learned that that wasn't the case at all a few days ago after playing the for a number of days already since launch. I think the whole 1.0 patch is probably just one big tutorial so Hoyo can ease players into the game. We don't even get the Disk Drives shop and the event to farm then until KL26-27 or so after finishing Chapter 2, which takes a pretty long time if you're playing the game normally (not skipping story, etc). So judging the game's difficulty/complexities now in terms of combat is just way too premature, since even after you get to KL27 and get to unlock Disk Drives, it will still take a long long time to get better pieces and what not, so my guess is that even for Shiyu Defense which is the so called "end-game", the difficulty is probably still set at a much lower level. those who have played HSR since launch till now will probably relate. Even if it really is "too easy", this is a live service game that will be continually updated, with new combat styles, new characters, new enemies. and... as someone who plays Genshin and HSR, I personally think Hoyoverse is pretty good at designing enemies and introducing new mechanics to up the difficulty. so it's just a matter of whether they want to or not.
Pulled Soldier 11 as my first S rank and been sticking with her ever since. Currently running a mono-fire F2P team with S11, Lucy and Ben. Her mastery curve is surprisingly high because in order to get her maximum damage output I need to properly time all her basic attacks and not just mash the attack button. After playing with S11 for abit I've really improved at the game and started to appreciate it's hidden higher skill ceiling for more advanced players
I was convinced that I wouldn't go for Zhu Yuan after dedicating myself to building the Ice-only team. But when I noticed in the trial mode how well Zhu Yuan works with Nicole (which I really like), I am now heavily sweating within next I Really want to add her to the team. Those two can do some nasty good damage
Right!? In CBT3 I wasn't super impressed with Zhu Yuan during the first couple weeks, but once we actually got her and then I got to try her out? Dood! Her schmoovement around the field + Nicole popping Gravity Orbs everywhere? Oh my gosh!

I'm personally a big fan of piper's damage output with a full send EX spin to win. Assault goes crazy hard on chunking down boss health bars, especially when you combo a discord proc with it

You help me learn so many new mechanics, although some of the language goes over my head, with me being a Genshin Casual. Yesterday I even tried the spin a attack that you mentioned!
i notice with s11 that i rarely use this timing attack, most of the time her enhanced state with skill\chain\ultimate is around same lenght as enemies stun window. Once it ends i just switch back to anby to break again, cuz s11 have bonus damage vs stunned enemies.
The best part of ZZZ is that unlike Star Rail the character’s feel and moveset can be just as important as their numbers. A good player will be able to get tons of value out of A-Rank characters with sheer skill alone. I don’t doubt it at all
re: the soldier 11 fire suppression, one thing you should mention if you ever talk about her again is that very often your daze windows on non-boss enemies don't last long enough for you to get a full 24 fire sup. slashes off, pretty often (not sure if skill issue) I find that at most I can get in 16-20

its really grown on me since hitting level 30. Not my favorite game by any means but its good enough for being on a daily grind.

The game probably would've gotten way less backlash if it wasn't released by mihoyo tbh. People were expecting another game like genshin or starrail and they keep comparing them, even tho there are barely any similarities besides maybe the gacha / energy system. Of course they won't like it. Even if some people say it's not like that, the game is just bad. I simply cannot agree with that. Not only because of my personal opinion but because A LOT of people who did not enjoy other hoyo games do very much enjoy zzz. Why is that? Because they literally had no expectations and they probably already enjoy fighting games. The game is great for what it is. It won't be the next genshin or starrail and that's okay. They will have their own niche of players, as it should be.

ZZZ took fighting game aspects/ mechanics and made them easy to pull off in game. Imagine watching a “bad” fighting game player, play with just a characters normals/ strings in like SF or MK and then say “oh this game sucks”. the reason why people say the game is just mashing is bc it kinda can be just mashing for the vast majority of time. combine that with the fact that a lot of characters in this game have a high skill floor what makes easy to get value. but that song will change as soon as they notice they stop getting S rank for completing their stages.

I'm definitely seeing how difficult this can be trying to squeeze in S ranks on Shiyu Defense, and now that I got used to doing Ellen rotations I somehow managed to forget how to parry instead. Still, how long does it take to get to this point? It's fair for people to complain when it takes 20-30 hours to complete the tutorial. This is the same problem people have with the TV exploration - when you reach the later parts of chapter 1 and chapter 2 the TV exploration gets more interesting, but the first experience people have with it is basic movement and Sokoban.
People who remember how Hoyo does things know to expect this long tutorial but that doesn't make the complaints invalid. A game that gets good after the first 20 hours is still a game that's bad during the first 20 hours. I'm not saying that ZZZ is bad either, but if you're in it for the combat, skip the story, and hate TV exploration stuff, you're going to have a bad time.
I feel like Sokaku or any slow-attacking character is a great way to learn the basic building blocks of combat in this game. Because you can't just spam attacks and you can really focus on practicing movement and monitoring your assists.
That or just swap cancel her really long animations. Do it right and you'll be 2v1ing everything in the game with her on the team. Granted she can still get hit but she can take it.

So a note about Nicole that actually makes her even better that what you already give her credit for: The defense debuff is also triggered from her enhanced basic and enhanced dash attack. Not just the orb hitting. So as long as you’re weaving Nicole’s attacks into your combos every 3.5 seconds, and using her skill/charged basic attack to reload the enhanced shots, you can have her defense debuff active forever.
Also she’s the only character I know of at the moment that has a unique backdash attack, which is just pretty cool. (Edit: Didn’t notice it before, but this also reloads her enhanced shots. That’s sick)
I really wished they made a debuff indicator for Nicole's defenses shred so you can have a better idea of knowing when it's applied or not
I find it pretty easy to just attack once or twice in your normal rotation, as if you just cycle through all 3 in order instead of going back and forth you get plenty of opportunities!

Slightly off topic, but Zhu Yuan is probably the best early pull for F2P players in terms of efficiency. Nicole and her signature engine is on her banner and both their priority disc drive sets are on the same instance. For anyone that knows the brutal grind of relic farming, having two characters on the same comp, that share the same element, and have relic sets from the same instance is literally game changing for an early game account. Nicole is literally the Pela of ZZZ, and she is likely not going anywhere anytime soon.
EDIT: Because bullet generation is important, Zhu Yuan's offset 2PC disc drive will likely be Swing Jazz which is also Nicole's 4PC. So one instance of disc drive farming literally covers everything, but Nicole's offset, which in most cases would be Freedom Blues. 3/4 relic coverage for 2 characters in one instance is fucking wild. Honestly, close to unethical.
also, having played Zhuyan, she absolutely SHREDS enemies. probably my favourite experience of the whole game so far was fighting with her
A huge part of why I’m skipping Ellen for Zhu Yuan is her synergy with Nicole, and I’m stoked that she is on Zhu Yuan’s banner. I can’t wait to use them together, hoping to get several Nicole copies while pulling.

@@plvto1 honestly, this shit on day one rivals present honkai impact with their unhinged maximized burst combos, but when lil bro starts going about infinite juggle i'm like hell nah. I find it really hard to believe that late game will let you do that even if it looks cool on paper. Both shiyu and hollow zero are time based, which means one should focus on dishing out maximum damage in the shortest span of time possible, and that infinite juggle energy regen thing just sounds like a major waste of time. No hate, just seems like a weird flex, and i might be wrong but to prove that we'd need to see some cooking live on camera.

Her basic attack has a lot of mobility, it can somewhat teach you how to play ranged characters and she's a good example of how a anomaly character should work

Just wanted to say, personal top 5 is probably Ben, he is probably the best supplement stun unit if you couldn't get your hands on Koleda or Lycaon, his daze multipliers are really good, making the occasional impact sub-stat on your gear a blessing, that and he is good to learn watching your enemies behaviour as you want to counter as much as possible with his skill.
tbh i really felt soldier 11, to the point that when i got soldier 11 instead of ellen instead of being sad i was like "OH MY GOD I WON THIS GAME, ANOTHER ATTACKER FOR ANOTHER TEAM" because she's huge
and you also forgor to mention that she also teaches you not to mash, considering soldier 11 is a more methodical unit where you have to know how to time your attacks properly, aswell as saving your skill and saving your ultimate because they're really expensive, she really teaches you the ways of playing more methodically, not mashing, actively think what you're doing, to me it helped me a lot, because instead of focused on pressing the buttons harder and faster, im always thinking "oh i have to wait a bit to get my fire supressions, oh i nearly have my skill to unga bunga a little for like 2 full combos, oh im about to have my burst i think i have enough time before the enemy's daze goes off", she teaches you this kind of gameplay simply because you get rewarded for it, more than any other character if you ask me, you get like what, 70% extra DMG bonus because of fire supression if max talent, her burst deals 3000% just at lvl 6 which teaches you to save your burst for CERTAIN characters so you get more DMG, she teaches you how to swap cancel with her skill, overall a very strong very FUN to play character, with a higher skill expression than most other attackers if you ask me

That's what I learned from Lycaon. That pause to activate the charge attack, and the situational awareness it forces you to have so you're ready to do a dodge counter or a quickswap-parry.

Coming across your channel for ZZZ is such a blessing. I initially thought I will not enjoy ZZZ because I'm very unfamiliar with the combat style but watching your videos really helps in my gameplay!
Hey iyo I just wanted to say I appreciate your content. Almost every other creator gets stuck in drama and clickbait videos, and you consistently give us game related content to watch and enjoy. Thank you for remembering what's important and giving us something to escape our own personal drama rather be caught up in someone else's.
What I love about this game is how flexible builds can be. If you look at any website for builds and team compositions for Genshin or HSR, they will be the same across all those websites. Even for freshly released characters. But for ZZZ there is no single opinion on how you should optimally build your characters. There are some things like bis weapons and bangboos, but that's it. Maybe it's due to the game being fresh, not enough theory crafting has yet been made. But still, lots and lots of flexibility
For me, it's:
1. Anby: Electric Cunning Hares is a easy slot for a good amount of teams
2 & 3. Lucy and Piper: the fire/physical duo has a good amount of DPS characters, plus easy anomaly with off field DPS is pretty strong right now
4. Nicole: CC can help a good amount of DPS characters in the game, especially with Anby/Nekomata for Electric or Physical teams
5. Corin/Anton: the constant attacks on easy to get characters can rack up damage easily, especially with Anby or Lucy/Piper. Plus, it's easy to get characters stunned for these characters to just delete health bars
There you have a DPS, a stunner, an anomaly trigger, and 2 supports to help you learn the mechanics of the game. Some of these are obtained just by playing the game, so almost everyone can benefit from these changes
My MAN. Out of all the guide videos I’ve watched for ZZZ in the past few days since launch, this one takes the cake. LOTS of useful information here - even for someone like me who was already invested in reading all the skills and paying attention to what the game tells me. It’s just helps me hone in on the skills/concepts/characters I want to focus on, and that’s something I really appreciate. I already wanted to fully build out Anby and Nicole, and now I have EVEN more of a reason to. I LOVE building the F2P characters and ACTUALLY having them put in the work. I’ll be ready for Zhu Yuan with this! Fire content man, keep it up.

Your vids have been so informative and made me go from just enjoying the combat to really really starting to love it. I still kinda suck but i've been getting better at anby and soldier 11's basic attack patterns and using swap-ins and its been very very satisfying to improve and see the difference in dmg it makes. Waiting till Zhu Yuan to pull for a limited character but really excited to see what kind of kits the dev team will come up with in the future and how different characters will interact with each other. Keep making these vids you're absolutely carrying the gameplay side of zzz content creation :)

Kind of annoyed they removed damage type synergy with - Slash, Strike + Pierce. In testing it allowed for more team composition. Like Anby (Slash), Nicole (Strike) + Lycaon (Strike). Or Anby (Slash), Nicole (Strike) + Soldier 11 (Slash).
Anby and Nicole are same team so special ability would activate. Then Lycaon being the same as Nicole (Strike) or Soldier 11 being the same as Anby (Slash) would also allow their special abilities and to be active. No idea why they removed this. Now its only same team or same element (attribute).
Liked and Subbed. You are the only person I've seen who goes in depth into the fighting mechanics which is what I appreciate. Its the main reason I was interested in ZZZ. Thanks.
Also I would also get Grace or Rina to synch with Anby. More Grace for Anomaly build-up.

This has been one of the best gaming channels. Pretty much have been going through your recent videos today since I just started and they have been super helpful! I played a lot of honkai impact 3rd until Genshin and cut myself off. But this game looked so fun as well as the gameplay looked like it flowed better. I really actually like the cunning hares as the intro, basic team you get.
They completely capitalize off of wanting to be played a certain way (even if you can beat the game not doing so at the start), they embody their specific roles, and get you to switch what ult you use and when depending on what result you want (since you can only can only use one every so often, and their ults have different damage and utilities), and Nicole really highlights that you can get different results from the same move with different inputs.
I am impressed on how detailed and non biased your views are. This helps a lot for a new player like me that never played the beta. Thank you and im looking forward on more tips from you. Maybe can you discuss rotations effectively on battle and dailies?

@@IyoXS That would be a great help. I am really struggling on using Grace, Rena and Anton. I know im using them incorrectly as I die a lot. Dodging also is difficult as they are in a wrong position. Compare before i reroll with Ice team.

I'm also shocked you didn't mention Piper. She isn't the most flashy to play but she is kind of insane with what she brings to the table. Disorder will probably be pretty huge down the line and her being able to trigger it with Assault on top of that means you can practically forgo needing a stunner. Her and Lucy are a pretty nuts core rn for just being a pair of A ranks.
Glad to see people warming up to Nicole now. I've been telling people since day 1 that she'll be a great investment down the line.

Got S11 as my first S rank from the begginers and was kinda bummed because i wasnt crazy for her design. Then lost the 50/50 and got Another copy. While i would prefer a second s rank i recognise that S11 kit is is so complex yet perfect for a new player teaching them to think outside the box when creating team rotations that it keeps me addicted to the game. Fire Suppression is great character kit design but i cant imagine why hoyo didnt yapped for paragraphs for how to trigger it😅

favorite thing about anby's kit is that her special counts doesnt just not interrupt her basic string, but it counts as a delay, so instead of having to choose between n3->special or n3->hold/delay enhanced n4, she can do n3->special->enhanced n4 without any holding or delaying required and it chains so well.
For those who crave harder combat experience, just keep trucking on!!
The dev talk with SF creator roundtable has confirmed that the current easy gameplay is by design, they are fully aware of the difficulty before the game was even released. They want everyone to ease into the game before ramping up the difficulty. Have no doubt, they have already designed challenged boss fights for the future patches, the dev said so.

S11 is definitely one of the most fun characters to play but also one of the most hardest character to master. Many people simply said "just learn to timing her attacks" But the enemies isn't so dumb to let u focus on timing her attacks. The enemies will try to hit u while u r timing ur attacks which u mustn't focus all ur focus to time her attacks cuz by then u will forget to parry or dodge the enemies attacks. Basically u need to muscle memorize her timing so u can spread ur focus on the enemies as well. But Her EX skill has insane daze multiplier this makes her even without stunner she can fill quite amount of daze. So with her timing and skill it kinda makes u want to use her skill during the enemies non daze state while the enemies in daze state u can time ur attacks safely. But ofc against multiple enemies u still need to dodge during timing her attacks. Her burst has insane multiplier so u obviously want to use it when the enemies in daze state. S11 is a definition of learn,practice and master the chara ter. If u can keep timing her attacks successfully u will feel a satisfaction. But I am sure a lot of people who hate S11 is cuz they love just mashing the button without care and S11 requires the exact opposite of that.

I'm on Shiyu 10. I won't say I mash, but you made it sound way harder than it is. It's mainly a dps check as long as you understand basic mechanics.

the part about using a skill before the EX bar is charged up enough hits home. coming from Genshin, I'm so used to being unable to use a skill until cooldown ends, being unable to use ult until energy is full. So my monkey brain goes "no shiny skill button, no press". i only learned that that wasn't the case at all a few days ago after playing the for a number of days already since launch. I think the whole 1.0 patch is probably just one big tutorial so Hoyo can ease players into the game. We don't even get the Disk Drives shop and the event to farm then until KL26-27 or so after finishing Chapter 2, which takes a pretty long time if you're playing the game normally (not skipping story, etc). So judging the game's difficulty/complexities now in terms of combat is just way too premature, since even after you get to KL27 and get to unlock Disk Drives, it will still take a long long time to get better pieces and what not, so my guess is that even for Shiyu Defense which is the so called "end-game", the difficulty is probably still set at a much lower level. those who have played HSR since launch till now will probably relate. Even if it really is "too easy", this is a live service game that will be continually updated, with new combat styles, new characters, new enemies. and... as someone who plays Genshin and HSR, I personally think Hoyoverse is pretty good at designing enemies and introducing new mechanics to up the difficulty. so it's just a matter of whether they want to or not.
Pulled Soldier 11 as my first S rank and been sticking with her ever since. Currently running a mono-fire F2P team with S11, Lucy and Ben. Her mastery curve is surprisingly high because in order to get her maximum damage output I need to properly time all her basic attacks and not just mash the attack button. After playing with S11 for abit I've really improved at the game and started to appreciate it's hidden higher skill ceiling for more advanced players
I was convinced that I wouldn't go for Zhu Yuan after dedicating myself to building the Ice-only team. But when I noticed in the trial mode how well Zhu Yuan works with Nicole (which I really like), I am now heavily sweating within next I Really want to add her to the team. Those two can do some nasty good damage
Right!? In CBT3 I wasn't super impressed with Zhu Yuan during the first couple weeks, but once we actually got her and then I got to try her out? Dood! Her schmoovement around the field + Nicole popping Gravity Orbs everywhere? Oh my gosh!

@@Pandahashirause a proper stun char with sol 11 she almost does 50 percent more damage on stunned enemies. Currently using anby but looking forward to koleda.

I'm personally a big fan of piper's damage output with a full send EX spin to win. Assault goes crazy hard on chunking down boss health bars, especially when you combo a discord proc with it

i notice with s11 that i rarely use this timing attack, most of the time her enhanced state with skill\chain\ultimate is around same lenght as enemies stun window. Once it ends i just switch back to anby to break again, cuz s11 have bonus damage vs stunned enemies.
i knew i was right when i test S11 she is one of those character that had a high damage celling but you need the skill to reach that celling
The best part of ZZZ is that unlike Star Rail the character’s feel and moveset can be just as important as their numbers. A good player will be able to get tons of value out of A-Rank characters with sheer skill alone. I don’t doubt it at all

re: the soldier 11 fire suppression, one thing you should mention if you ever talk about her again is that very often your daze windows on non-boss enemies don't last long enough for you to get a full 24 fire sup. slashes off, pretty often (not sure if skill issue) I find that at most I can get in 16-20
