The fight scenes in this show were always decent, but what really sold it was the acting, writing, atmosphere and amazing soundtrack. David Carradine was practically born to be Caine, while Ernest Abuba sold this ultimate fallen angel trope perfectly. My one complaint about this show was that they killed off the Tan character too early, he would have made the perfect nemesis for Caine throughout the entire show.

@@flintironstag2381 When you think about it, nearly every villainous mastermind with a mystical quality that followed Tan, be it Li Sung, Bon Bon Hai, Liam Holmes or the leaders of the Scorpion and Black Widow sects; they all had heavy parallels to Tan’s character, but they were less dynamic and endearing in terms of backstory. The show would have been served better by a more limited array of recurring villains, as most proved to be decent yet weaker composites of Tan and Martin Kove’s Shadow Assassin character.

@@hellsunicornTan was like a fallen angel. Started off good, but ego and hate destroyed him.

He was not only killed, but his circle of reincarnation was ended; the ultimate of punishments. Truly frightening.

I remember this episode. There wasn't any option other than to kill this guy. He would have never quit tormenting Caine until either he was dead or Caine.

David Carradine was also in the miniseries White Crane. 😮

Curious detail. In none of its versions, Kwai Chang Caine yelled when fighting. He never yelled.

I remember this episode, it was a good one. It is like Arch Angel Michael said as well, the overwhelming majority of souls are forgiven, however, there is an incredibly small amount that must be unmade as they are just pure evil.
