Thanks for making this! Halfway through I realized it felt like a Bizly moments compilation and now I really do appreciate him more as a player and comedian. I usually listen while I work rather than watch, so I've missed out on a lot of his physicality and expressions. This was a joy!!
A fun fact: at 40:03, Charlie jokingly says that John 13:9 warned "about red flags such as these." I'm sure he threw out a random verse.
Yet here's the context of John 13: Jesus washes his disciples' feet, an act of humility, love, and service, before his final Passover meal. Knowing Judas will betray him that very night, Jesus still washes Judas' feet. Peter thinks the act is too lowly an act for the Messiah, so he protests. Jesus insists. Beginning in verse 8:
(8)“No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me. (9) “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well! (10) Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” (11) For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. (John 13:8-11, NIV)
Basically Charlie made a shot-in-the-dark Bible reference and somehow landed in a passage where Jesus warns his disciples that there is a traitor among them......a red flag, if you will.
