- Last song of their 4 song in-store set at Resident Records in Brighton on the 8th January 2024.
A fantastic independent store well worth visiting, go to www.resident-music.com for vinyl goodness and fantastic merchandise.
Any comments insulting the band, people singing suggesting they ruined the video and anything else degatory will be removed.
I have removed many comments already that I feel are hurtful, with one made towards me suggesting I was signing badly while recording and ruined it. I never sang during any of the videos i recorded for this purpose.
People were simply enjoying themselves.
If this continues, i will disable the comments which i do not want to do, especially since i have been taken back by the attention this video has received.
Thank you
The internet really does bring out the worst in people, doesn’t it? Sorry you’ve had to deal with so many cretins. Thank you for posting this video.
@@deft08 it sure does, you only have to look at all the stupid bullying on comments over how somebody spelt something, with a smart remark or a punctuation error.
It really does bring out the worse in people like you say and it's fast becoming a bullying echo chamber.
Many thanks for your comments, it makes doing this all the more worthwhile ☺️
I agree guys, if people have nothing but negative criticism to say , they should go watch love island with the rest of the bitches
Oh shut up ya big baby. @marcuslavaggi-bowen6539
Well said and thanks from the heart for this beautiful video. Love and respect.
Love this… my teenage years flooding back ❤
This chap can play the guitar. Respect.
Something so true about this song
And there be a banger of a tune 🤖
Shed Seven, Terrorvision, Kula Shaker, The Seahorses, Ash, The Charlatans, such great bands in that mid to late 90s
My god, what a list, all legends
The Charlatans were from the previous generation of bands like Blur late 80's
@@wildrosesfortheexit They had a late 90s Revival though , with their self titled album and Tellin' Stories ...
Terror vision 👍👍
Never heard of terrorvision are they like this lot?
Heard Shed Seven as a support act at a concert. Loved this song. Tried every where to buy the CD single for years. Was in a record shop one day and asked the guy and he said it was the single version he was playing. Couldn't believe my luck...then he said "cant sell it to you as we havent got the case" Common sense prevail ed and a deal was done. A great anthem
Absolutely brilliant -
Great vocal there & great guitar as well.
Great sing along too🎉
Loved this so muchhhhhh!!!!!!!! 👍 🇬🇧
The fact Shed Seven have just had there first number 1 album in 2024 is unbelievable. These guys have always been one of the best live acts of the 90's and deserved so much more attention than they got back then. So many hits.
wait? a number 1 album?

@Ste197 give it a few listens and then it all clicks. It's a great new album, just give it time.
I think this applies for a lot of the 90s ‘indie’ bands. I still listen to a lot of the songs from that era and think why these bands never got the attention or longevity or followings they deserved. Elastics, sleeper, echobelly, skunk anansie… actually there’s a theme emerging there (apart from shed seven). I loved the music from this era.
Same goes for the Longpigs.....Vastly under-rated band!
Still one of my favourite songs ever! I’m 41yo now!!! ❤❤ legends!
Same here and I'm 56
Just love that these guys are still around and bringing joy to people!
"And then he missed his cue"
Legends!
This song was so good back on release and has aged like fine wine.
Great moment captured forever, quality.
Class band, class tune, for me it's a tune that captured the 90's brilliantly, Shed 7 one of the finest bands from the UK 💯
Quality, good to see a band walking the walk because they still can!
The british music press used to call these guys “shite seven” and the singer “Thick Twitter”! Pretty mean really..😢
Brilliant one of my favourite bands and songs loved the start I'm a Yorkshire lad who grew up firstly with the maDchester scene following on to brit pop. So buzzing for number 1 Album too AMAZING!!!! X
Reminds me of a brilliant night in York when they were at their height. Always a great atmosphere but that night was so special with this playing everywhere.
Never stop chasing those Rainbows guys 👍👍👍🍻
Damn, I wish I was there, such a cool guys!
Cheers for posting. If you can make magic with just an acoustic guitar and vocals people need to hear it. The audience backing vocals is spot on.
Nice to see a positive comment about the audience for once 😎. I had to delete the derogatory ones. Someone made a dig at me saying "Shame the person recording ruined it". This I find rubbish as I was not singing for that purpose alone. It also reeked of jealousy as I don't think they will ever get 100,000 views for a single video (I think this will).
So yep, it's nice to have a positive comment about people just simply enjoying themselves 😎.
@@marcuslavaggi-bowen6539 I know I want two parallel internets . One for all the negative misery whinge bags and one for the rest of us that enjoy life . You’re in tune and your timing is perfect. You’re right they’re jealous.
This is better than the original… wow goosebumps. Love from Scotland 🏴
Clearly they enjoyed the audience participation they were having a giggle and encouraging them 😊
Shed 7 and ocs are the most underated bands of the 90's.... Chasing rainbows is a fkn classic!.
Absolute nonsense.
This is always on my playlist. Great band, excellent tune...
I remember seeing Shed Seven live at Brighton Beach at The Cockpit in Leeds back in the mid-nineties. The band were on the dance floor after the gig and I still remember a bit of an altercation between Rick and one of my housemates over a girl they were both trying to chat up. It all ended okay and at least the argument didn’t end up in a story about a fight with Shed Seven. Great memories 😂
Simply wonderful, watched it again and again! What were the trainers ?
I personally know Rick and I have to say congratulations to him .
I worked at his house last year and he gave me a preview of the album, just a few tunes .
I was quite honoured but I have to say he’s one of the most down to earth humble chaps you could meet .
All the best to them
He sounds like a lovely boy!
Watching from Vietnam deep in the jungle. Love this band since the 90s
You ok or do we need to send a search and rescue party?
What the hell you doing there , mate 😂
That was quality bit of nostalgia there. No bands like 90s bands these days 😢 thanks for sharing
Absolutely brilliant!❤❤❤
Every time i hear this song it's like the first time....Just beautiful. So many memories of so many good times darkness and sunshine. Thanks guys
this song just makes me feel good
One of the best bands, and one of my all time favourite bands of the 90s and 00's. Saw them many times, at festivals, live shows... Always brings a smile to my face, and when in the car... sing my lungs out! I always thought Shed Seven weren't given enough Credit. Awesome band! ❤
Love the performance and the casualness, perfect for a perfect song. Regards from Argentina.
Loved that, absolutely loved that!
Was lucky enough to sing this song with them over 20 years ago. For some reason they were booked to play Stirling Uni Union about a week before freshers week. Being a small city, there were only about 10 people there - most of them me and my pals. Was great to get that close to them and even had a few drinks with them afterwards.
Also managed to blag myself backstage at the See Youse At the Barras gig. Great lads
Took me straight back to a better time and place at the time I never knew it tho…. That’s the sign of a class song
Great to see the audience and band interacting. I was able to see their rise in the mid nineties when working a nightclub door. The audience loved them then and seem to still 👍
Take me back to the 90’s
Well Gents you have just made my day, so pleased you posted this, I saw you many years ago in Llandudno, and was bought chasing rainbows on CD single by a good friend who I am still in touch with many years later, great memories. Congratulations on your No1 album, and thank you so much for posting this.😊
Very underrated at the time - not sure why. They still sound good.
Perhaps its because Shed 7 released their first single only one week prior to another bands debut single.
You know the one, a bunch of headline stealing scallies from Manchester, which the media pushed to the top of the pile.
I love this ❤❤
Tune 😎
"Is that how you usually start it?" 😂 Love this song and the humour in this version.
90s Anthem ❤
So glad I grew up in 80s & 90s listening to bands like shed seven, the young today will NEVER understand 😢😢
I’m 14 and I love em
Weird because this song just popped into my head today and then it popped up on TH-cam. I loved this back then and still do. Brilliant
It's all energy atoms.
Siochain ❤
Nice to see bands from the 90,s doing stuff again, from an incredible period of time.
This was goosebump heaven mate..thank u😁😁😁❤️
Thanks for sharing this. A great song and great response from the audience.
Absolutely brilliant.what a great craic
That was fooking brilliant 👌👌
Great to see the lads having fun. Great song
Absolutely brilliant, would have loved to have been there..think the audience joining in added to it
Brilliant band ❤
This is great - what a song 🙌🏼
That song always gives me goosebumps. He's such a lovely bloke too. BTW the audience participation made it even better.
Sound band sound lads. Remember going to york bowling with the lads from work and these guys were also bowling.down to earth people. Top band.
Thanks for posting Marcus. I think I must have watched this 100 times. Such a lovely atmosphere!
Awww. Wish I'd been there. Lovely lads. Very natural, and down to earth . Love those intimate little performances 😍 Great video !! Great atmosphere 👌 Well done for capturing and sharing this. Thanks.
Number 1 in the charts!!
Love it. Brilliant. Comedy duo but great singing and playing when it arrives. The guitarist has the original hooded top that his wife keeps chucking and he keeps rescuing
Phoenix festival 1997! I’m back there, a tune that defines that period for me, glorious!!
Ooh I went there too with my camera to photograph a pop band called Arnold. I photographed many more there too!
thank you
Absolutely brilliant
Great song!! Love it.
seen these guys 5 times and every time was amazing what a live experience and im a metal head.
Absolutely loved that, thanks for posting :)
They always felt a class act back in the day, so happy that class has seen them through. Great stuff.
Absolutely brilliant , one of my favorite bands back in the day , class !
Well done for capturing that, loved it.
Always loved the guys, proper legends
Class band class tunes, thank you lads
One of the best live acts I've ever seen
I remember getting lost on an estate in York looking for a block of apartments called marquis court. Just happened to ask this very guy for directions. Super friendly and helpful, it was only after realised why his face was so familiar but didn't put two and two together at the time, even despite being a massive shed seven fan in the 90s!!
Legendary band. Legendary song :) Thanks for uploading
the way Paul just starts busting out Wonderwall with a straight face is pure comedy. ps - sorry about your cat Banksy
There's a real 'League of gentlemen' vibe about this
It’s a sh*t business.
@@shredx81 Wonder if they know ... voodoo lady?
Creme brûléeeee
this touches the heart! thank you great people!! god bless
What a band, awesome. I've been listening to the album, and it's pure class 👌
Great song. Good to see the lads back in action.
the first 3 minutes are comedy gold! Great song
😂😂😂. So happy these fellas are still going, and still having a laugh doing it. Hope you don’t get de-monetised for that snippet of that “No Way, Sis” song.
Better than that other song about Rainbows....
I never particularly liked this song, but I was smiling all the way through that. They've got great rapport with the crowd.
- That was proper good 👌, and it's now my favourite song at the moment.
Takes me right back this one ❤
Actually think the guitarist is so underrated. Whoever wrote these songs are off the chart talented
Liam and Noel have finally got their shit together.
Top blokes great band 👍🏼
Oh wow rainbows are the latest indie craze!
Love this song ❤
Great to see and hear you guys again.
Banger! Thanks for sharing. 👏 👏
90sssssssss are back 🙌 Ave it

Just awesome! Well done lads
Like the first time I heard it 👍🏻👌🏻🙏🙌
