    We made these as kids. They smell SO GOOD!
    Tie a ribbon around them and hang in the closet!

    You need many cloves, how much do buy for a few oranges?

      I purchase a few packets and look for the cheapest ones as you are not using them for food prep..p.s I also keep previous years orange clove balls and add to them the next year. They are completely dry and light.

    How long do they take to dry?

    • @HerHomesteadSkills
      @HerHomesteadSkills  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nancy S....They start to dry right away...there are a number of factors..the size of the orange and the amount of cloves used makes a difference, smaller oranges with all over cloves appear to me to dry faster...within a month there is a substantial shrinkage and drying...but during that period they also smell amazing!!!

      They need to be in the warm, otherwise will rot. They will slowly dry out and get smaller but the smell will last. I have some years old.

      @@tessalister1226 Do you mean they need to be kept from getting warm or they will rot? That’s what I was assuming.
