The T9/10 arty is turreted. This is a huge and rare feature. Not having to rezero every time your target moves lets you lay down fire continuously. Also the higher level arty has great powers of retreating. You can actually GTFO if you get spotted instead of just wallowing around getting shot.
For those of you who have a little bit of seniority, you may remember the AMX ELC Bis was quite a formidable tank, before the overhaul of the lights. The AMX 12t used to have a 6 shots clip too.... just imagine what you could do.
Also, the AMX 50 line used to be the "heavy" tanks line before the introduction of the "real" heavies.
A lot of a the best French tanks were severely maimed such as the AMX 13-105 and the B-C 25t. Both had an elongated reload, the B-T 25t lost some of its camouflage performance. But the biggest issue is the lack of ammunition. Recently, the B-C 25t received two additional clips.
I really like these videos that show the whole nation while the on track is on. Very helpful.

It was the first tank that caught my eye when I first started playing wot but I never did the grind until fairly recently because all I saw was TH-cam videos of people saying it was the worst tier 10 heavy but it’s now easily me favourite tier 10 heavy
Every game all you see is super competitive tanks like chieftain etc filling the matchmaker at tier 10 cause no one is willing to play off meta tanks and try them for themselves.
It would be nice to see people spend a little time on these off meta tanks to learn how to play them before they write them off
Videos on TH-cam saying a certain tank isn’t worth the grind is what puts people off trying new tanks and is the reason we see the same tanks in tier 10 matchmaking. But In saying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What I’m trying to say is if you like the look of a tank people just grind it out and try it for yourself who knows it may end up becoming your fav tank

The wheeled and light vehicles are really diverse and fun to play. The AMX 13-57, the Vanguard, all those have a very high return pleasure/fun play style. However, autoloaders are not always for everyone here. I like the Nomad and the Audace too. A few years back, the battlefield was full of B-C25t, until it got nerfed.
The only lackluster line is the Artillery. French Artillery 155-55 and 155-58 with a 95mm penetration are completely irrelevant. I recently completed the line, and played about 500 battles in the 155-55. Whenever another Arty was in play, they would always have a better damage ratio than the 155-55 per hit.
Just putting this right there my Favorite and most played tank is the AMX M4.54

the French tanks are among the most fun to play! they offer a very large palette of different vehicles which will put your skills to good use. They really break the monotony of the game, as they have the largest palette of meta in this game. There is one exception. Even the heavy tanks do not have the armor you would expect from a heavy. Therefore, when in a French heavy, you play second line. Never front.
In terms of variety, nothing beats the French tanks.
I would love to see this for all nations!!
I really think the AMX ELC is super underrated, I have ~600 games in that tank and it is still one of my best performing and most fun tanks, despite using no premium consumables and being very cheap with APCR - It can carry games SO hard!
In my opinion its is one of the strongest tanks tier for tier, and since alot of people really have no idea how to play it you can get atleast 2 marks easily even as a casual Andy.
Yeah you have to take your time to aim at a distance but the gun can penetrate EVERY SINGLE TANK from every angle! And the alpha makes even big heavies go "Heeeey wait a minute 😐"
It can outspot any other tank even tier 7s, and the profile and speed of the tank makes it so even if you get caught out, you will get away MOST of the time. Its not an EBR but it is damn close in terms of dodging.
On most maps just play it like a TD, you will still spot enemies + you get to blast fools - and in the lategame this tank just WRECKS everything!
AND you get to pick and choose your playstyle!
Want to go passivespotting, go to the forward bush - the enemy lights wont get near you because you outspot them so hard.
Wanna snipe then put that awesome gun to work and use the mobility between reloads.
Wanna brawl then joust the enemy (weave and then after they fire go straight towards them and fire before weaving again), fly past them and pull the handbreak for a second shot in the arse while they are still rotating! On taller tanks you can even just hug them while you reload because they dont have the gun depression to shoot you anyways ITS HILARIOUS!
Its just great!

@@Myndi78 do you use the big gun that limits turret rotation?
@@aaronrigg5208 Yes! But there is definitly an argument to be made to use the smaller gun, it does make brawling alot easier. I think overall the big gun is better tho, the ELC carries enough acceleration to do handbreakturning to line up the gunbarrel.
@@aaronrigg5208 I just think the ELC is better suited for peekaboo than as an active spotter. With the rotatable gun you cant do the same hit and run tactics and the small gun doesn't have the same intimidating factor. Getting shot for 240dmg will deter alot of peeking and rushing at low tiers, and it allows for alot of 1shot kills in lategame 😈
With the small gun you have to brawl alot more and STAY in the pocket (instead of hit&run) and there are way better light tanks for that + its a playstyle that often takes you out before the lategame where this tank really shines. Also because the ELC is so small the other lights/mediums can ram you for a million damage, its better to use camo to spot them out and then nuke them from behind a doublebush.
I just got 5k spotting in a T6 game with the ELC 😂
Still on the tier 6 wheely like me, it gets great with top gun full HE.
There is no difference between the Foch and the Foch 155, but the 155 has 2 shots more in its clip. So the 155 is the better tank. Also, the 155 gun was nerfed. Because initially the Alpha was iridescent, and you could destroy any opponent out of one clip!
Because of this Video I gave the AMX30 a chance and this tank ist crazy fun. Surely not great but enjoyable to play
I was trying to decide should I invest towards the AMX 13 105 or the wheeled lights. And I got my answer. I'll try the wheeled tanks in the future when I can spare credits lol
what do you use for the cursor sensibility? When I watch your videos, your cursor is pretty accurate, my cursor jumps one tank size distance when I almost touch it, I played with the sensibility options and it didn't work, also I am on Xbox X so if you recommend a new joystick, that would be nice.... love your videos.... cheers

No armor did you forget about the amx 40 🤣 I agree with most of what you said especially those wheeled tanks I have gotten to the tier9 so terrible. I like the heavy tanks I don't care for amx30b and now to show my age I like the old ELC the hit and runs you could do with it
i dont think eclipse realises that crew skills DONT change the intra clip reload of any tank with an autoloader.
i think the AMX 13 105 is amazing, its like a mini batchat with less pen, lower clip potential but better gun handling, more gun depression, more DPM, faster and has more camo.
Amx 13 105 is always a 3rd or 4th option for French autoloaders for me. That reload is what really kills it. The tier 9 is such a breeze to play compared to the 13 105 because you occasionally play against tier 7 and 8 with a reload that allows you to circle right back into the fight. fricking 13 105 gotta fully retreat before reengaging tier 10 tanks. And it turns just like the damn bat chat, thats what completely kills it for me.
@@mikerhem1273 yes, i think its traverse speed doesnt feel very good but i get around a 23 second reload which for me is perfectly workable
The tier 9 is also nice but its much slower, thats why i prefer the tier 10 over the 13 90
@@Hagurmert I got about 1800 games in the 13 90 . Tried all the builds. It should not be played with ETI just like the tier 8 vanguard and ELC 90. its a wasted perk on one of the games best circling punch & run type tanks. They all have subpar 212 and bellow pen. Which means you shouldn't be in campy positions where you need to see a weakspot. You need both speed equipment's for it to shine at 74pmh. Even though the tier 10 can hit 78mph, the turning like a boat completely kills its agility making it a straight-line type runner like the batchat. Just a horrible tradeoff for a LT. Not really a LT if you cant bust 180's on a dime

@@aaronrigg5208 enhanced target info. The equipment that comes standard on every tank that highlights red or green regarding penetration
