I love how the battle doesn’t begin with the fighters hating each other in any way. It’s just a friendly competition that gets a little too intense.

They don’t usually do that (start of hating each other, I mean)…but it does happen sometimes, or we just pick up in the middle of the fight

Part of the wushi finger hold thing is that the technique itself uses enough chi to blast the clouds away in a massive explosion as just _part_ of its effect -- a side-effect, if you will -- and Po has enough control of his chi to be able to use it for other things, such as his (actually demonstrated) DBZ-style chi-blasts. So if he wanted to, he could cause chi-explosions on that level without even tiring from the expenditure (meaning he could cause even bigger explosions, if he wanted to).
I just don't think it was explained terribly well.
If you've got 5 hours to spare, I think EVERYONE here would recommend giving the trilogy a go, given its new found popularity.
I remember hearing about a kung fu panda 4 being confirmed at some point, if it's real I hope it goes well

You’re right about the Finger Hold being a specific ability, so not really valid for power scaling considering it’s offensive output doesn’t really matter. Like there are a lot of people within range whenever he does the Finger Hold and they’re unaffected, despite some of the terrain being affected

I pretty much agree, this was a really good episode.
I was in a similar boat about the cloud feat for Po given the technique warps its victims rather than being a quantifiable attack that can hurt you. After looking at their q and a, I think their point behind the Wuxi Finger Hold is that while it isn't a direct attack, the fact it generates energy shockwaves with enough power to pull off such a feat implies Po's energy reserves and usage can achieve a similar level of power as it is his Chi that's doing it. So yeah, your last take on it is in line with their logic. Obviously it doesn't matter how you take it cause other feats and scaling put him way ahead like the Black Tortoise meteor and some would even argue multiversal Po crazy as it sounds.

I was really glad that Po won this fight like this was a really good episode and I really enjoyed it when I saw it last year.
Next Time with Steven Universe and Star Butterfly, I had a feeling that Steven was fighting Star even when he was teased at the end of Hulk VS Broly and you guessed it, Steven is the 5th teased combatant after Yoda, Ryuko Matoi, Doctor Doom and Mikasa Ackerman that were announced at the end of Hulk VS Broly but yeah there's one more teased fighter left and I am going to leave a hint to him, he is a returning combatant from Season 1 but I will leave it at that.
So until then, see ya next week for the first ever Cartoon Network VS Disney matchup.
Funny coincidence, DreamWorks announced that Kung Fu Panda 4 is coming at march 2023.
Funnier coincidence, I think that's where the image of Po I used for the thumbnail comes from.
Fun fact about the episode, the actor who played Po has said that Po is his favorite character of all time, and it was a dream come true to play the part.

Yes, that was my idea for him to do the Mario Vs. Sonic one and I'm 100% behind this again.
After slowing down the playback, no Po didnt eat him. But the speed of the impact and the context made it look like that lol
Steven Universe and Star vs. the Forces of Evil are both surprisingly interesting shows that deal with serious topics like war, identity, grief and civil rights. They start off like typical children’s shows but get progressively darker with revelations that reframe everything that comes before it.
By any chance was the Facebook game... Marvel: Avenger's Alliance? The turn-based strategy game with your own SHIELD Agent and taking up to two other Marvel heroes in a fight? If so, hell yeah. If not, then I must've missed whatever that game was because early 2010s me was addicted to Facebook games AND Marvel.

The uh, penis chariot shown when they were talking about the demon Mara, that's also Mara, but in the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series. Mythologically, Mara is a demon of temptation in Buddhism.
Oh no, I knew it was a Persona thing from memey stuff, but I didn't know those were two different series. Never played any Persona *or* Shin Megami Tensei games so I figured they were just named differently for different audiences.

lol Nah, those are trashed. Thankfully, they're just reading glasses (more expensive than the ones I bought in the past, but still not expensive), so I found the box I'd ordered and just pulled out another pair.
A friend of mine is a HUGE Marvel fan, and he said the following.
"While it was a great fight, and I agree with the result. Seeing the whole community enthusiasticly celebrate Po winning absolutely sucked, it was as if they were trying to make me feel guilty for rooting for Iron Fist."
I feel like it's just because everyone loves Po. Put Iron Fist against a DC character and you'd probably have a closer 50/50 supporters on either side. Put Po against Goku or Superman and everyone will still root for Po.
That sounds like a personal problem.
The only Death Battle that might possibly be about "shut up, this person is the winner" is Goku VS Superman 2. Feeling bad is gonna happen now and then with Death Battle, the characters brought in, the results, the quality of the animation or whatnot on your favorite character's matchup, the audience reaction, etc., but it's just not something worth dwelling on. I'm almost positive there wasn't a single person who wanted to make him feel bad for rooting for Iron Fist. It's just never about that sort of thing.
Of course, easier said than done, logic doesn't always trump emotion. But, from someone who tries to guess the winner and provide the reasons why they would win in a video for thousands (I know, not a ton) to see, I get it. If it's not about me, though, it's certainly not about you/your friend, either.
