I'm watching this in December 2020 and it just blows my mind. I'm constantly amazed at all the songs and performances that keep popping up from his past that's more beautiful than the last. Where's all the Grammys he should have won?? I consider him the best singer of my lifetime.
I concur! His vocal prime came around forty..listen to his rendition of the Righteous brother's song Unchained Melody. Only one of the brothers sang that. I have cautioned a few good musical artists to not cover that song It's a signature song, iconic. Then I heard Enge's rendition and it blew me away. He took that bridge into the chorus and did an octave change and hit that with maybe the most pure tones I ever heard. He did not in my humble opinion give Enge enough credit for his entertaining abilities either! This is an essentially shy person and thank the Good Lord he shared that voice like liquid gold flowing in your ears at 88 I am still at his concerts and cheering him on to keep singing!
Fabulous voice !! I cannot believe how long Engelbert held that last note of the song without taking a breath and never a break in his voice ! Unbelievable ! He is so gorgeous on top of having the best voice in the world !!!!

You showed me that I can age gracefully...and that my song is just as valuable now as it ever was. The world has some terrible things going on...and I listen to you every day. You were in my humble opinion the best in the business...you make me laugh, cry, long for comfort, and it always seems possible when you sing the words " Love Is All!"
