Seeing less known stackers making SOC at worlds (I don’t even recognize some of them) is exciting, as I feel like the same like 5 people had a chokehold on SOC for like 8 years 😭
There haven’t really been studies done, but most stackers believe it probably has a small effect on hand-eye coordination. It doesn’t really make noticeable changes in any other activities though. For example, we cannot tie our shoes any faster than people who do not stack cups
You get 3 attempts (and 2 warm-ups) for each event. Your best time for each event is taken as your final time; it's not your average time like cubing. This video is the Stack of Champions, which is where the top 3 competitors from each event get an extra 3 attempts to improve their time.

Nice video! Your camera quality is AMAZING!!! See you in the next comp!
The fact that he actually muted the audio when Jaydyn said oh shit
I wonder, is their hands coordination good in overall everything? Or did they sharpen their reaction for only this group of actions?

@@colesmith7509 oh, I see. Good to know, thanks
@@colesmith7509There was a study done back in 2004 which showed that stacking does improve hand-eye coordination.
How do these competitions work? I’m a cuber so I don’t know the format.
