It is now Nov 2022. So, I listened to most of the video, how much to build one of these cars - motor, tires, parts wise? You don't mention costs. I know most of it is scratch built. I did the same back in the 1960's with my slot car track cars on commercial race tracks. Used piano wire and tubing's - painted my own clear bodies. Did not have a Drag Strip in my local Slot car Store, but had 4 really nice commercial different style tracks. Had race event most weekends. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching and sharing! The cost varies a bit. For example sometimes a can score a built car for $50 CAD. Other times I can get used parts and piece a car together from stuff in my parts box. If I am building one from all new parts about $150-$200 CAD. Bob builds my chassis for me and I paint the bodies. The cost of the body can range from $5-50 depending on if I get it new our used from another member in our club or the hobby shop. Paint I get is about $25. I use automotive base clear coat.
I have seen the 1/25 -1/24 drag slot car chassis sell for over 100 $ ... and the super fast motors close to 400 - however this is high end extreme - Check with Roger at Mid America Slot Car Parts ... he sells (RTR) ready to run cars on eBay just over 100

I used to raise drag slot cars in Nashville Tennessee Back in 2006 after they closed I've been trying to find a new track in Tennessee that's nearby within a 45 minute drive does anybody know where the nearest track either in Tennessee or Kentucky is it is that
I think our rules are unlimited on chassis design it is all bracket racing for the most part. You do need a certain amount of weight to get good contact on the brushes. I did find aero made a bit of difference though.
If you have a good drag chassis with wheelie bars set correctly then you should Not need an once lead weight to keep front end down Dennis Sentman D&L Chassis makes the best slot car drag chassis' on the planet

🤔🤔🤔🤔 what size rear rim and tire is on your Celica
Im not sure what those were I have since changed the wheels for a different set. I picked the smallest ones available that looked right at the shop.
Where do you buy the kits for everything
The bodies come from 1:24 plastic model kits. The chassis and all its parts come from a local shop. I have ordered from www.shoppscr.com as well.
Just wondering what the Facebook page is?

Why are there no commercially available ‘Xmas trees’ for sale?
I think they are available somewhere and downloaded the software for the timing system

Good luck in your searching for a new track.
ROLLEY HOLE MARBLE CHAMPIONSHIP!!
Not sure about the race rules and regulations but how about a carbon fibre chassis?

Interesting. I will have to take your word on it. I agree there is more than one way to build a chassis.
