Really wished Bungo realized 90mm guns on a "main battle tank" is about as ridiculous as using .22 LR as the standard caliber for their infantry rifles. We can definitely tell that the gun fires using conventional propellants, and yet using smaller calibers like that on such a massive and heavy chassis (this thing is nearly twice the size of an Abrams) means it's wasting a LOT of firepower. The whole point of an MBT is to take out enemies with a single shot, and it takes several to take down a Wraith on anything but Easy, while the High Explosive round fired from it would be SIGNIFICANTLY less effective than the modern 120mm shells, as bore size directly relates to how much explosives can be packed in, thereby directly affecting its damage range and potential. Coupled that with it being vulnerable to small-arms fire like 7.62x51mm rounds, or even the 14.5mm rounds from the anti-materiel rifle from the FRONT means this barely qualifies as an MBT, and is more of an APC with a high-recoil (?????) gun. I get a lot of this is for gameplay balance and whatnot, but the entire point of a tank is to have absolute dominance on land (frontally), so... it's a bit depressing. Why not make the tracks vulnerable/destructible so it comes down to a race to immobilize, just like how it is in a modern environment urban combat? :/ They can make the "multi-purpose" frag grenade also pump out thermite, which WOULD devastate tanks....
Well since the scorpion is a air portable platform, specially how it’s dropped by a dedicated troop drop ship, there’s going to tradeoff in firepower & armor.. The UNSC standardized a lot of their weapons and equipment (hence why a lot of it is about a century old) The 90mm was probably picked for it lighter weight, smaller collateral damage radius & against most insurrectionist vehicles can kill in one shot.. Once the war with the Covenant began, the USNC decided that cranking out numbers when win the day, but they did make a heavy tank called the M850 “Grizzly” MBT with 2-120mm cannons for you.. just didn’t get to drive one in Halo 1-5.. Need to read some halo media, basing your complains on gameplay mechanics, isn’t fair to the Tank.. If she was a real world tank, she be as tough as a Abram tank is now & even the crew of the Abram are vulnerable to high caliber rounds if it hits the ballistic glass of a viewing periscope.. - Mobility kills would be cool but your fighting Aliens with Plasma weaponry so they would be disabling tanks left & right.. - Think of this the ‘MBT’ of the UNSC is the Scorpion, she not the strongest but there more of her then any other & she packs enough of a punch to get the job done.. Really that’s what makes a MBT anyway, your the main gun of your military armor divisions..

I find it odd that the SMG has a rather slow firing rate despite using caseless ammo, the G11 prototype had a three-round hyper burst that was fired at 2,100 RPM, allowing it to fire three rounds on target before the recoil impulse hit you. I personally find the civvie warthog a bit tacky looking and I've grown toward the later M12S CST that removes the rear-wheel steering for high speed stability and adds a conventional 6-speed DCT and was rather prominent in the Australian and British Horizon Festivals.
I honestly preferred the Scorpion tanks with both the main gun and machine gun linked together, makes the player have more control over it, but I understand why they eventually decided to put the machine gun on a separate turret, as that allows the second gunner to provide more defense. What I don't understand is why they didn't have another machine still on the main turret for the player to control
Bruh APFADS rounds are fired by tanks. A discarding sabor round fragments as it flies towards its target exposing the tungsten penetrator which absolutely eviscerates the target, cutting through it with kinetic energy. In halo reach Jun says “it’ll take the head of an elite at 2K yards”… Dope.
I’m a little curious what’s going to happen once he gets to halo 5 because he always goes far in depth on the cannon and that is definitely a BIG undertaking
Halo Canon, in classic Halo 2 the rocket launcher is the M19 SSM and the gauss cannon is the M68. Also, if H2A is using the Halo Reach model of scorpion than that would make it just the M808 MBT. I like these videos you make I hope you will still do one for Halo 5.
M19 SSM is the ammo used. The Rocket launcher is the M41. It's on the side of the launcher, even in classic. H2A and CEA recycle the Reach scorpion but with some changed. It's the M808B. The Reach model is the M808C.

The Halo Reach scorpion is still the M808 MBT I checked on the level the package. In Halo Warfleet the section on the In Amber Clad states it's complement has 6 M808 Scorpion tanks.

The 50 cal has been around for over 100 years yet it’s design has barely changed. The round also hasn’t changed much. Why change something that works and not only that but works well? During my time in the army it was something we talked about a lot.

So the FAV (Force Applications Vehicle) is the blanket name for all M12 Warthogs of any type. The Chaingun hog, the Gauss hog, the Rocket hog, etc. They're all variants of the M12 FAV.
I very much doubt the Spartans had their own weapons variants. To be Frank, having soldiers on the battlefield that have their own weapons sizs to accommodate them is extremely stupid. Say a spartan losses their weapon, how will they be able to operate any of the standard weapons?
