Just dont buy ANY Rolex for a year, and they will come out of their shops, drag you in and beg you to buy any model your like!! IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

Good info that comports with forum intel. I was super lucky to get the call for a black Daytona (you can see it on my channel) on Christmas Eve.
Not bragging but 2019 was an awesome watch year for me. Purchased a Hulk in January and the new BLNR on Black Friday, both from my local AD. It’s about relationships and knowing I’m not a watch flipper. I’m not a fan of the Daytona but I do prefer the black dial over the white dial model.

I found out the answer to the question I asked you the other day from my dealer. The yellow gold Submariner is increasing $1,500 to $35,750. So, I just bought another blue one today before the price went up! ;) I know, I know, I didn't buy it to make money...I bought this one for somebody else. The other one is mine. ;)
The Professional watches are still a decent option if you’re fortunate enough to get one from an AD at retail, even with the price hike. The grey/secondary market route, however, remains nonsensical.
That was true ... i went store on DEC 29 "ROLEX 2019 GMT-MASTER II " was sold out Price is $9,250...... but need to be wait 5 years... Next couple day January, 2 2020 i check the price $ 9,700 i can't believe it.

Totally agree with you. I just got a Hulk and a Pepsi last week. Suddenly, I get called from all the AD where my name was listed. But my AD advisor told me that Rolex meant to increase supplies for the last trimester, but they will cut it just before the Basel world.

Great info! Subscribed. I’ll stick with my 2003 sub date and 2013 black face SS Daytona both bought new from ADs. I feel fortunate to have both, and lucky to have paid retail. Good luck to those searching for their watch that makes them happy in the years to come. They put a smile on my face whenever I put them on.

What Marc said is true. Got my 126660 DB within 5 days of deposit. Just in time to beat the price increase! Happy new year people.
I'm in the UK, our Rolex prices were lower than a lot of regions so in this round, it was a true up along with an increase, so looking at a bigger lift in Q1'20. If you in UK , get all your Rolex pieces revalued as most insurers pay on most recent valuation, so if you make a claim you going to miss out on the gap for some policies, read your small print. For me, increases always great for my investment set, 7 points growth over .85% on cash deposits APR is a winner... My daily beater 116618LN just gone up £2K, lol..

I was just on the official Rolex site looking at prices when I got the notification of this . Pretty substantial increases although I’m on vacation in Mexico. As an example the SS GMT2 are 10000 us. James Cameron 13600 as a reference. Thx Marc .

I have no particular animus toward Rolex per se. I just find them to be garish in the extreme.Different strokes for different folks.......

I'm glad I got my sub date 116610 in early 2016. Hard to believe my local AD had a hulk and a batman and no waiting list! if I would have known then how much prices would increase I would have gotten either one of those lol.
I am happy that I got the call on my GMT II (BLNR) last week-that is quite the price jump.

There are always ups and downs, history has shown this over and over again. Daytona were super hot, back in 2008 I walked into an AD and they said I could buy the white or black, or both for 15% off. I’m not a flipper and I don’t care for the Daytona so I passed. But it goes to show what goes up must come down. The folks that believed the stock market and said “it’s not going to burst” have gone bankrupt so I do believe it will burst at some point.
I have a date, not a just date maid in 1956 with a jublie bracelet , white face in 14k with the original box. I purchased the watch from an estate. I've never seen another like it. No idea what it could be worth. Love this time piece.
i think HK riots was a big driver of the 2019 dip in secondary markets
HK authorised dealers are selling their stock to overseas gray market dealers and resellers. Know this for a fact as I visited a local reseller who was selling several steel sports Rolex with box and papers from HK. And they confirmed they were buyer from HK at good prices

how to buy the Rolex at the price that you have mentioned? in my country, it cost almost double than what you have highlighted. I'm new in this field so I would like to know so that I could sell the watches later on and make some profit out of it.... it is a long-time investment i would say.

I've held a super copy ceramic Sub side by side with a real one and let me tell you, you reconsider things, speaking from a professional point of view. Will never buy a fake though, i just enjoy other non toxic brands.
The fakes are not perfect. You can see that they are fake if you watch closely. Why are they not perfect? Because the want to come out with "newer" fakes every year to make more money.

Robin C Rolex are not about objective value. They’re about status and prestige. The objective value of the watch is irrelevant.

I think Rolex control the overall prices. Even though MSRP is much cheaper. The resale price is what Rolex controls. Authorised dealers sell to the secondhand market, who then resell at big profits. I would dare say Rolex knows about it and encourage it. Otherwise, why would Rolex not increase their prices to align with the resale price? It would make sense to skip the middle man.

All bluffer's. I emailed Rolex in Switzerland. And said how are they actually called a dealer of a product they can't carry. It is not like everyone has five plus k hanging around. Rolex had a policy. A watch you need for life not to use as a stock exchange item.

Yep, my AD told me about this a couple of hours ago. He said the average is 3.4% (in the US) but we'll see. I heard more in the UK (7.4%). I thought I would get a video out before you ;) but then I looked and saw there were already videos out on this so I didn't need to beat you to the punch...haha! BTW, I just got a second Hulk a little over a week ago myself. I bought a few other great watches this week as well (including an Explorer II), just under the wire! This one goes to a family member.

Rolex price is speculation like the stock market now. People should buy a watch because they like it and not because they expect the price to increase. I had a Rolex LV 50th many years ago and sold it ( now the price has double ) to buy a vintage Omega Big Blue which I have no regret because I like this Omega more.

Saw the Yachtmaster 40 Blue face at an AD last week for the first time in a long time. Priced at $11,800.00. It was gorgeous and for sale to anybody. I was very surprised to see it. They had 2 other steel sports watches available that day. I noticed they have restructured the display case to show only half as many watches as it can hold. As you know it is not unusual to not have anything in there to see or buy. I have stopped going by there because they normally dont have anything.
Excellent Listener Seems like Rolex released a batch of those to the AD. Even here in California my AD has/had both Rhodium and Blue dial versions.

I drive a Honda Accord and have a DJ41. Some people don't even own a car.
Pick any 2 AMG models and I could pay cash for those with my Rolex collection. You would be better off buying a Rolex my friend and wear it every day. It will hold its value or increase in price. The MB won't, especially if you drive it and probably not in your remaining lifetime. Just a thought.

langra man ya, but that doesn’t answer the question really... why is it that not everyone who wants one can buy one at retail. These people who are flipping them wouldn’t be able to if Rolex would just meet demand by letting the AD keep enough stock! It’s what I consider an artificially inflated market, which will pop if they don’t continue to do what they are doing. Who knows they may never go back to how it was when you could buy what you wanted in stores- and then the bubble may never pop because there will always be people willing to buy Rolex at 50-100% retail- which is insane brand loyalty.
@@matthewwolf3531 to me it sounds like each AD store gets a set package of rolexs models/range in equal-ish numbers..restricting creates a buzz around the brand otherwise boring looking watches .. seems to be working for them plus the AD picks and chooses who he sells to when it comes to the most wanted model. waiting list runs long for some short for others.. they make you buy other models in stock in the mean time at discount. rolex make around 1 million watches a year yet they claim its hand made and one watch takes a year lol. Nike does this with its Jordan brand. when i was younger you could just go in buy the latest jordan. now you got limited yearly releases and high prices for same shoes that cost quarter of the price back in the 90s

U.K. pricing has always been the the same Pounds as Dollars for as long as I can remember. Apple, Rolex, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, you name the brand, if a product sells for $100 in the USA, it will be £100 in the U.K. The British have been getting ripped off for ever.

You have been at the Rolex game long enough. Curious why you didn’t buy the “Hulk” in the last 8 years when no one wanted it and it was a easy below msrp buy in early 2018???? The new 126710BLNR is called “Batman”. Do a “Batman” search on the Rolex website and the new 126710BLNR comes up. Do a search for what you are calling it and nothing comes up. just saying.👍
I have a Rolex Submariner. It cost me Euros 1000 to have it serviced and took 6 weeks, In the meantime I purchased a Steinhart Ocean One Premium Blue watch direct from Germany which took one week to arrive. and cost Euros 540. It is a homage to a Rolex Submariner. I was just going to use the Steinhart as an every day knockabout watch and keep the Rolex for special occasions. I am now puzzled. Why buy a Rolex? The Steinhart keeps better time than the Rolex, is better looking and is just as well made.

I've a GMT batman and il never sell it. I've waited so long to find. I just couldn't be bothered if wanted to make on it. I still feel hard done by paying that much for a watch. I've got it on a leather tan strap for summer. And bracelet in winters my day watch genrel wear. Is My tag Heuer Monaco. I actually sold most of my collection. Must be getting old so keeping it to minimum and to be honest. I hate the way Rolex play the market on just selling a watch it's actually sickening. If there was a watch I wanted if one broke or actually got fed up with it. I'd just have a Seiko turtle or monster I feel after I got my batman I was re questioning was I right. And I didn't buy a watch I fel in love with to know I can flip it. If makes sense. I know two people work for Rolex stores and both wear omega. When off True story have a great new year all.
