I love this family. ❤ In my culture, we do not do confinements and the women are expected to get back to work right away in addition to taking care of the baby. Lawu is extremely lucky to have such supportive loving and caring in-laws who treat her like a princess. They don’t want her working at all while she is in the process of healing. People need to keep in mind she had a C-section and did not give birth the traditional way so healing takes longer and needs more aftercare and extra precautions. My family and I used to not understand the confinement thing until one of our own married into a family that does it. They explained that it’s a time where the mother can heal and also BOND as much as possible with the baby, which is a good thing. Many mothers here where I’m at don’t have that luxury. They also explained that while mother is healing and the baby is so young, they are more susceptible to airborne diseases. These families are being safe now than sorry later. It’s also a cultural thing that they’ve been doing for generations. So I hope people are careful and kind with their comments, especially on something they do not understand. This family is exceptional and have done no wrong in my eyes. They’ve taken care of Lawu better than any in-laws I’ve personally witnessed. Love and care go both ways. I truly believe that when Lawu’s in-laws get old, Lawu will in turn take good care of them too. True meaning of taking care of one another. This family is building something truly remarkable and they are an inspiration to us all.

Lawu is so blessed myself i gave birth on my first child we travelled back home at night the next morning i woke up there was noone at the house only left with an old granny (my mother inlaws mother) who couldn't see she wasa baby in her condition this was in the village they had gone to the faraway fields there was no water even to bath not to drink and in such condition bathing is important. I had to strengthen myself by the grace of God i did fetch water do all the duties as normal for the house has to be clean for the baby and i . And it contined as normal and they came back everyday expecting the food ready until sister in law who was married somewhere came and saw the situation she cried and ask her mother if is was your daughter will you do that . I started hating the baby especially when the baby cries i wanted just to go away postpatarm depression is real and dangerous, i dont know how God helped me ❤ i vowed to never live my daughter or anyone to be treated as such in my eyes

Lawu, if you had a c-section than please make sure you are moving and walking for short periods of time to prevent thrombosis and weak muscles. Just walking round the bed helps. Try not to carry the baby whilst standing and follow some post natal excercises. Eat, stay happy & well you have great family support and handsome baby boy.
