You are a real auto body craftsman Arthur. Here in the USA they would have wrote this off as totaled because of the time and expense of repair. That and most shops won't do or can't do this extensive amount of work. You are a real pro. Car looks like nothing ever happened!

you know whats sad in the US a tiny fender bender they'll sometimes have your car for 2 weeks minimum, when you get it back color doesn't match there are runs and bad gaps.
Arthur gets a car that should probably go to the scrapyard he fixes it in like 7-9 days and it looks showroom quality

David F - Most good body shops in the US would never even get to see that car as the insurance would total it out to avoid the sky high cost of all that skilled labor. They would rather cheat you by taking your car and giving you a check that in no way is large enough to cover your loss. Where this man lives the insurance companies are not so powerful and cannot engage in the scams to force people to purchase new cars that have to be financed. People who do not know anything about welding or metalworking love to come into the comment section of videos like this and wring their hands about how unsafe this is, which is just silly. All badly folded metal is replace with brand new or with excellent quality salvaged parts. The workmanship in reassembly is often better than what you get at the high speed, high pressure factory where lots of mistakes pass unnoticed and into the hands of consumers. This guy takes his time and does the work at a very high level. It is far more difficult to repair stuff than it is to make it as the factory. This guy really is worth his weight in gold. You are spot on correct, sir! Cheers!

No way that Honda would ever be repaired here in Australia. It would have been totalled with a parts title. Amazing what can be repaired by a skilled craftsman.

Of course skillful man but the car will never be same strong as new so at next crash will get softer and ... yeah yeah like new but not new. Scraped for a reason.
These things are written off in my country no matter what happens to them, they always fold like tuna cans, hella expensive to insure because of it.

большая часть людей, занимающихся кузовным ремонтом - рукажопы! когда столкнулся с ремонтом своего авто после ДТП, поехал по мастерским, а там, как в страшной сказке... то хапуга, то алкаш, то трепло, в итоге нашел бабу-мастера внешне приличную, обещала на понтах все в самом лучшем виде за адекватные деньки и короткие сроки, когда оставил машину на ремонт, начались качели типа это невозможно, а так не получится, новое крыло кривое и доработать мы его не можем... ну и т.п. в итоге все детали накрутили криво даже не парясь с подгонкой, покрасили и не полировали, жуткие наплывы, мусор залипший и не затертая шпаклевка, + брызги краски и опыл грунтовки на элементах кузова которые не подвергались ремонту.... в цвет не попала вообще... мамой клялась, что на подборе краску брала, а походу просто купила краску по номеру на рынке....
Если ланжерон не цельный ,тоесть по конструкции не уходит под машину а просто варится к стенке и к стойке то обычно этот узел меняется в комплексе я имею в виду когда ланжерон ,айпрон и стакан вместе в ориганальном сборе.выигрыш огромный .размеры выстовить легче .и меньше варки.но у каждого мастера свои принципы.

о наконец то я вижу отличный правильный подход к ремонту, все снял ненужное и потом ровнять и тянуть, а то как не посмотришь все тянут за это гавно сплющенное тратят пол дня, а потом все срезают и опять тянут)

Looks like a nice job. I think in the United States any body shop would charge at least as much for this repair than it would cost to buy a used Fit it excellent condition of the same model year and mileage. I hate to see that happen though. I respect repairing things when it is possible. Also, I suspect we are not seeing everything here. An alignment on the front wheels is probably going to be needed, not to mention aiming the headlights. The windshield and the little side window will need to be replaced.
