Velocidrone is so good now I remember when there was no sim and FPV was about learning the track and adapting and having to actually build and make a tune.
Now things are so much easier and Velocidrone makes practicing go so far now killing it dude !!

It makes building skill so much easier, too :) And saves you from the hassle of charging and going out or having to fly in the dark in winter. It became a really vital tool for me and makes up 2/3 of my flying time.

the drone doesn't make that much of a difference as long as it's a racing quad. I was probably using the carbix. 5146 profile 1 is the sauce though.

What rate setup are you running including the feed forward? I used to be pretty fast in liftoff but put down quad stuff for 3 years and am pretty shit now cant seem to find the sweet spot for rates.

rates are .85 .7 .0 for all axis. I leave my pids and ff stock.

the Polyworld maps are probably the best you'll get in terms of fps, but of course some of the more complex ones still are pretty graphics intensive. I ran Velocidrone for a year at less than 100 fps and 60hz, it makes a huge difference in how realistic sims are when you are getting 200+ fps with 144hz or higher monitor.

Having the right settings is crucial. I normally get 250-500fps depending on the map with a 1660. Lephro has a great video on how to optimize your settings.
