- Today I tackle the long-awaited task of quieting my RV water pump. Despite moving its location and isolating the pump and water lines it was still way too loud for our liking! As a last resort, I installed the IRVWPC2 which is an Intelligent RV Water Pump Controller. This smart device detects the pressure needed for a given flow rate and electrically alters the power to the pump which greatly lowers the noise!! My overall noise level was reduced by over 23 dB which was less than a quarter of the original audible noise! When my pump runs now, I do not even hear it! Success!!

Thank You Charles !!!
Thank you. Great review! I need to add one of these to my list of mods.
Cool. Thanks for the explanation how it works
Just ordered one. Thanks.
I haven't heard of that pump controller. I looks like it works great, I may have to put that on my list of upgrades. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your video i used it with others to wire and install mine
Those are impressive results. The 4008 is notoriously loud. I replaced mine with a SeaFlo pump and have not heard the pump since.
I had problems with the original Sureflow that was in my camper but either way, It was almost as loud as my generator... I replaced it with the Sea Flow that I got from amazon and barely know it runs anymore. So quiet!
Will be adding this to our Eagle Cap 1200 for sure. Also I have seen the 2 auto drains back there. Can you cover those? Factory or did you add those? My Eagle Cap 1200, you have to crawl 7ft up inside the basement to to winterize. Not a well though out plan.
Those auto drains you see in the background are for the black and grey tanks to empty and were installed at the Chalet factory when purchased 12 years ago! Still working great!
Instead of spending 400 on a controller , why not build a sound proof box for the pump.
The noise carries through the pipes.
Does this get unplugged when you winterize?
You can always unplug the pressure sensor and your pump will go right back to its original noisy self.
A pressure tank would of fixed it
Impressive, but pretty pricey. ☹️
