I've had this video in my que to watch now for about a month...and the wait was sooooo worth it...it's literally the house that keeps on giving...that outdoor patio off the master is my space - I've claimed it...lol
Absolutely love all the details that were shown in this vid! They took their time here and gave us what we wanted. A thorough walk-through. Fantastic job birdhouse!! Thank you!
I like how spacious it is and how much light it gets. I don’t like certain elements of it. I’m not surprised it’s priced this high, given the neighborhood it’s in, Roncy has a nice mellow boho vibe. Wish they staged it with a little more colour though.
With no third floor door, this place is only good for a couple. It was probably designed this way due to the skylights, nevertheless, at the price, this place is far from perfect as some people have commented below.
My god, I was thinking the same thing but I think some people might not like having stairs that walk up to their doors especially during the winter, it can get pretty bad and slippery. If you had doors in the garage, you'd have to enter the garage to enter the house. I guess a door with a stair inside would work but the design wouldn't be as nice I guess.
@@nunnil1655 In British Columbia, it's pretty popular for homes to be close to each other. Where the homes are built ontop of the garage (facing the street) and the home entrance is down the side.
@@tango_oscar I didn't think about it that way. It seems like a pretty good idea. I actually love houses with lower level. Half of the length could be a garage and the rest could be the lower level living space. Heck, you can even rent the lower level for student or something if you need money. That seems like good space management. Why do you think Toronto doesn't have these sort of houses? I'm actually curious now.
STUNNING design. But you need to teach your camera person the fine art of LINGERING over things! Also, WHERE OH WHERE did you get that amazing bar cart?!? And, though beautiful, that master suite is completely open everywhere: no doors to the room, no door to the bathroom or closet, having it be a loft style with nothing dividing it from the area downstairs, the open/wet shower and tub area (not to mention the tub smack in the center of the room), how would they ever get any privacy, or be closed away from any noises? (and vice versa) Are there pocket doors? Sometimes architectural design can be a bit over the top for aesthetic's sake, rather than for overall usefulness. Also, the place is so clean, pristine and spare, wondering how it would look after being used by a busy family with 2-3 kids running around?
I'll take the house and the Jeep! Lovely! The only thing I didn't like was the glass on the stairs; I know it creates an open feel but imagine the smudges from small kids -_-
Finally a modern house on the inside and out. It always pains me that people take old houses and make them modern...if you want modern use a modern house! Don’t destroy something else cause it’s “too dark, cramped and not your style.” Find or build one that is your style. Sorry end rant. Lovely home. 😆
Ok very good point for both commenters. I would like to add that $800k USD IS $1119560 CAD. BUT NOW LETS CHAT ABOUT THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, that dining light fixture, I TRIED to like it...

CMHC is just posturing so they can add in extra rules/hurtles as they have been a profit centre for the longest time and don’t ever want to pay out. That’s why they put in the rule not to cover homes $1M and up even though most detached homes in major cities in Canada are on that line.

What perfection is this? My word 😭
I'm not a fan of contemporary ultra modern homes but I like this one. There is alot of natural lighting. Well done.
I agree.
Welly Welly. Nice display of the floor plan and door location. Thanks!
I'm an absolute fan of the I-beam pergola in the back yard. What a great change in material for a classic garden structure.
Impeccable master suite on the top floor!.
Beautiful bathrooms. Lots of natural light.
Perfect! It doesn't look big but surprisingly, it has many rooms. Was surprised to see the huge gym, viewing room, game room! Good use of space!

I'm curious....with the limited property sizes in Toronto, why don't they build the homes with the garage up front and stack the home on it?
