Thanks, Eric, for the great reaction, and welcome to The Warning. 3 sisters from Mexico who will rock your socks off. Martirio is an epic rock song. Great in live concerts. This is one of two songs they sing in their native language, the other being Narcisista. Dust to Dust is a great suggestion. One of my faves by The Warning. These ladies are phenomenal, live, and hopefully, you will react to Dust to Dust at Teatro Metropolitan theatre. Looking forward to your next reaction. Thanks Eric. 🤟
Welcome to The Warning. Martirio is one of their only two songs in Spanish. They, and their fans, are truly international. Amazing to see fans in Mexico, South America and Spain singing along to every English song, and N. American and European fans singing along in Spanish.
Anything from Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City (CDMX) from 2022 is great. Three sisters from Monterrey Mexico. They just finished a European leg of touring and are about to go back on the road in North and South America. They are currently Dany 23 on guitar, vocals & piano Pau 21 on vocals, drums & piano Ale (Al-Ley is close) 18 on vocals, bass and piano. Close to 50 original songs on an EP, 3 albums and a couple of singles. They are celebrating 10 years as a band already. They got a big boost back in 2014 when they did a straight cover of Enter Sandman and uploaded it for their grandparents. It went viral. In 2021 they collaborated with Canadian pop star Alessia Cara to provide a new arrangement of ES at the request of Metallica for the Metallica Blacklist album celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Black album.
Fun Fact: the covering over the frame was whole when they set everything up... the winds, on the other hand, had a different idea and shredded it... rather than fighting the winds, they decided to keep the shreds... it seems to have worked quite nicely for the video and fits the lyrics, as well... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
These sisters are even better live! Yes, checkout Dust to Dust with Paulina on lead vocals from behind the kit, but do the live at Teatro Metropolitan. Although they are from Monterrey Mexico all their songs are in English except this one and Narcisista.
Welcome to the journey🤘all their official videos are creative and fantastic❤ They are even better live. I recommend any videos from Teatro Metropolitano from Aug. 2022, Pro Shot concert 🤘
This is my favourite song by The Warning. They play it live at their headline shows. The best live video of Martirio is one of the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX séries. It’s the second to last of an epic evening and Dany has to push her voice to hit the high note at the end of the song. The punch of the bass and drums during their live shows is crazy. Their playing is so tight. Wear a Kevlar vest if you see them live.
Welcome to The Warning's rabbit hole! For future reference when looking for their songs, look at their TH-cam channel for live performances, which they have for most songs, especially the Teatro Metropolitan show from last year, the audio and video are incredible and the girls are killing it, one of the best live video recording I have seen ever. There is one for Dust To Dust.
Welcome to the world of The Warning! You will get overwhelmed by The Warning Army providing you with info and suggestions. I will only say if you need links to the quality videos let me/us know and you get them. The more you learn about these 3 incredible sisters the more you will be amazed!
They sing almost all their songs in English, and this is only their second song in their native language. The first Spanish song was Narcisista which is a big flaming F* YOU to the haters who criticized them for singing primarily English.
Currently, the best rock band on the planet. Certainly, the best new one. I'm old. I attended Cream concerts. The Warning has a bigger and beefier sound and there's no comparison in terms of the vocals. Dany isn't just a great female singer, she's one of the best rock singers bar none. These three chicas are the real deal. As good as this video is, the Teatro Metropolitan gives you a better feel for their live performances. In fact, any number of their uploaded performances from Teatro Metropolitan are better than their studio vids. Check 'em out! BTW, welcome to the Warning's army.
I completely agree with the Cream reference. Trio with the ability to never sound like ather are any unnecessary gaps in the music and Dani is incredibly strong on every note like Clapton. Bass players are equally great and Ginger Baker and Pau have a similar power and complexity. Pau sings waaaay better than Ginger though.
They really are better live, just as @randand1 said. The live version of this is posted, from Teatro Metropolitan. If you like this song, you're all but certain to like Dust to Dust. This song IMO is particularly better live than on the video (the video footage, of course, is spectacular). This was pretty far down on my list from TW until I saw it live in Boston a year ago May, at which point it vaulted over all but Survive to put itself in the #2 slot for me (and there had been a huge logjam at that spot, and they played some of those #2 songs at that concert). The full passion of the song does not come through in the video. The Teatro Metropolitan version is the closest you'll come short of seeing them live in concert. Dany's voice cracked a bit on the final note at TM (that's in Mexico City, so significant altitude, and was the final song other than two encores), which had no effect on my enjoyment but does demonstrate that they were singing live and that the professionally-recorded audio was not "cleaned up" for publication.
Eric's first time seeing the warning!

And German crowds singing along in Spanish!!!! With enthusiasm!
This band is destined for greatness ..
You definitely need to see this song live…it’s even more powerful.
Absolutely!
Welcome to The Warning Army, the name of the fantastic fan base. Thank you for promoting The Warning.
I am so jazzed that Ale grew like she did. Pau is gorgeous in this video hair wise & Dany is just flat out magic.

There is a great version of this song live at Teatro Metropolitan. This band is at their best live and that show has best production value
and now Eric is HOOKED! welcome to the club.
This is one band that grows on you. I was intrigued at first. Now they are a daily listen to for me. I'm hooked.

Disciple next please!
The MV is great but I recommend the live pro shot video from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX, 8/29/22.
❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡🔥
TW rocks. 🤘😎❤️⚠️
Nice
Nice reaction! I'd highly recommend Disciple (live at Teatro Metropolitan 2022) or Evolve (live at MTV VMA 2023) for a next reaction, you'll love it!
I have done them both my friend

Yes martyrdom, and from my take, I'm a Spanish speaker it is about toxic bad relationships
Different to see an English speaking person start with Martirio.
