I asked chat gpt and it gave me the pros and cons. compare to a Toyota Yaris, which is the other option, It always recommend the Toyota. Anyways the Koleos seems like grandmas favorite choice. Could you, please, expand in your opinion about the transmition in an easy way that I can understand, bc I know nothing about motors, etc? it sounded bad. Thank you so much for your video.
We have a 2010 Koleos 2l, 6 speed stick change. Had to replace the dual mass clutch at around 108000km. Then at about 160000km there was subtle vibration which turned out to be the transfer gearbox for the 4 wheel drive that failed. The transfer box was removed and the hole was closed with a special plate, and the propshaft was removed. We also use the Koleos to pull a caravan, which I would NOT do with a CVT transmission. The Koleos aircon packed up now, Oct2023, the vehicle is going to the dealer for a quote for repair. I shall never buy a vehicle with a CVT transmission.
