Great review. I do like the standard Smokehead quite a lot and I've been curious about the Rum Rebel and Sherry Bomb for quite a while. Have you been able to compare Smokehead Sherry Bomb to Laphroaig 10yo Sherry Oak? Cheers!

Sounds delicious. I see you have quite the collection there yourself. Are you gassing all your open bottles? If so do you start gassing after a couple of months open or lets say after the bottle gets below 1/2 ? I'm trying to see if I should start gassing or not. Yes, I gas (argon) the majority of my bottles. There's a few that I don't, but that's only until I feel they peak. I do that for those bottles that I feel are too hot and/or tight/muted when first opened. I give them a few weeks and check on them. Some only take that, and others take up to 6 months to find their sweet spot. Cheers!
@@LiquorHound Ive been researching this quite a bit and some are saying even 100% argon is causing a change to the flavor of the whisky. Have you found this to be true? Also I am a fabricator /welder so I'm guessing just buying a small argon tank somewhere along with the tank valve and some sort of trigger device to shoot in 1 to 2 seconds of gas would be the best way to go. Any suggestions?? Thank you mucho!
My benchmark, if it doesn't beat Ardbeg Uigeadail @ 54.2% abv @ $70 then it's pointless. I had the regular Smokehead and it was just ok @ Ardbeg Ten prices so...Love all your reviews Chris.

I have and I think I slightly preferred the Laphroaig 10 Sherry just a touch more (but both are worth having). Cheers!
