Nice, Alex. Thanks! @ 1:21 - LOVE IT! Hah! Actually, all your samples presented here are really great, like @ 7:23 for example. Good stuff! Looking forward to experimenting when I have time, and also checking out your Patreon patches and site store pack. Thanks again, Alex. Really informative and has added to my excitement greatly.
It's cool the way that Pigments keeps moving forwards, and I love the free updates. I wish PhasePlant wouldn't be so Pay to Play with the SnapIn additions.
I own both Pigments and the Kilohearts Ultimate Bundle. Pigments is definitely the better value, but I am ok with Kilohearts charging for innovative new snapins like Filter Table and offering a subscription model in addition to perpetual licenses. They are a small company, and charging for such things lets them remain financially viable, so they can continue to provide free Phase Plant updates, though they seem to do so less frequently than Arturia updates Pigments. If I could only afford one soft synth, it would be Pigments, but there is also a big place in my heart for Kilohearts, as well as Cherry Audio and the Arturia V Collection.
Oh, didn't expect another Pigments update to drop so soon. I still haven't got around to the Minifreak [V] update 😂 Been largely focused on my hardware synths, which is why the new Bitwig Connect sounds interesting with its CV outs to control modular gear.
One thing about Pigments, to me it’s the best implementation of MPE that I have seen (I have not seen Osmose but I assume it is locked to its hardware. )
2 questions. Can one modulate the play head position in granular sampling with poly AT? Can the granular engine be used as the exciter for the modal engine?
@@AlexReidStudiosThat's a pity. Until developers get both these points right the true power of these concepts will still not be unfolded. Most people seem to think that creating complex sounds in a haphazard way is the interesting bit. These technologies can however provide a very precise scalpel if used creatively. But I have yet to find the instrument which truly unleashes that potential.
Thanks for not making the video 30 minutes brother I appreciate you
You're welcome, I like to keep things concise!
Them filters make it very clear that filterverse was an Inspiration!
I can’t wait for Polyverse to drop their synth!
@@Maradnus that'd be amazing
Great news ! Can't wait to make new soundset using all the added features
Another banger video much appreciated friend.
Thank you :)

I'm happy with my interface, but if I wasn't, I might be getting Bitwigs

The first one I don't know, the second one sadly no, could be interesting
