Hey Joe. Want to say hi. You did a personal message for me in 2020. It was a gift from my 2 Beautiful Daughters. And it’s been 4 years now and I’m happy to say I am cancer free.
I didn’t want this comment to be about me. BUT THANK ALL FOR THE POSITIVE REPLIES. I was just thanking Joe for the encouragement that really did play a role in my fight to be alive. So THANK YOU JOE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY ❤️.
Therapy doesss help quite a lot, as somone who has studied in the realm of therapy/marriage and family therapy as well, and who has had som in the past, it really does help!!:> honestly, personally for me it's a freeing/non-controlling and judgement free time wen I'm in therapy, I actually feel almost lighter wen I come out and much happier and energetic than wen I went in, almost like a brain workout or yoga for ur mental state:) LIKE IF U AGREE^^>
Your right, but the dude is smart and he's very well spoken. I love how he throws in comedy, light hearted jokes in very tough topics. The way that he can transition from serious to light hearted in an instant is insane.
People saying they are surprised with the good advice from Joe but this is what character development looks like when you go to therapy consistently. Proud of how far he has come as a person. 😊
Agreed. When he was first making videos in his basement bedroom wiping the dry erase board with random things like a togo salad, his advice was mostly sarcastic. I still enjoy that from him, but now he seems to be thoughtful about his replys now.
@@Littabethyactually, I remember that even then he was genuine and demonstrated surprising wisdom and maturity on the IOP podcast and the early days of TBY. I’m sure therapy has helped, though.
"just do more than you're doing now, and do that for a week" this is actually really great advice that I'm gonna try in my life. slow progress is still progress and is better than nothing, thanks joe!!
It's great advice! My thing is, I try to make a bunch of changes all at once and do it for like a week and then revert back and get pissed off bc it didn't work out. Doing it little by little will be a challenge bc I'm impatient lol but I'm gonna have to try this for sure
I did not expect all that advice to be as good as it was. Shame on me for being so surprised, but I think I have a wiser perspective on some aspects of life from this video. Thanks Joe!
Gonna get lost in the sea of comments here but you truly do give sound advice. May sound a little odd but it's been interesting to see your growth from the beginning of the channel to everything you've achieved to this day. From bs-ing with the guys, to touching down on serious topics, having real compassion to help people, and so much more, you're truly inspiring Joe. Stay genuine.
Wow I mean when a human just has the ability to take constructive criticism and make themselves a better person, it just speaks volumes to their character. Such breath of fresh air
Joe’s advice about weight loss and health specifically actually helped me a lot. I was worried when I heard the question, because I’m quite sensitive to those conversations, but the answer was so empathetic and genuine and nonjudgmental, that it actually left me feeling more motivated.
The way this man goes from serious to light hearted in the blink of an eye is insane. I love serious joe, i love comedian joe. Joe is a class act guy that we should all strive to be more like. This advice is alot more serious than i thought it would be...and its awesome
Most definitely thought this was gonna be a video of Joe giving shit and funny advice but it actually was a nice, genuine video. Nice to see this different side of you Joe :)
I watched you all the way back when u had a crumpled up possibly stained white sheet as your backdrop. You have come a long way and this clip shows how much you have grown. 😊
Your setting little goals and adding on slowly advice was so validating to hear. I have recently started doing that to try and get out of my depression that has gotten bad. My first goal is to make it through a full 7 days of washing my face once a day and then building onto that slowly. My issue however is i got through 3 days and then lost motivation and now im struggling to get back to day 1.
Joe; holy shit. you give incredible advice and you're freakin' smart dude (and I mean that genuinely and not that I ever thought otherwise - we just don't often see the more serious side to you). I really enjoyed listening to everything you had to say and I'm taking some of this advice with me!
You're such a cool, genuine dude and you gave a lot of good advice. I know most of the videos across your channels have a more comedic purpose but it was great to see the mature and self-confident Joe a bit more in depth. Wish you guys all the best!
"Again in the past"...?? Aside from that, he gave great advice just as I assumed he would. Has always seemed like an incredibly intelligent, observant, thoughtful, grounded dude. Thanks for always managing to keep it both real and entertaining, Joe! I fall more for ya every video... Hehe
The weight loss one really reresonated with me. I'm not overweight but I've always wanted to be in better shape and the little goals is something that I didn't really think of...I always think you have to "do everything at once" and if you don't, you failed....I like that, once a week do something and gradually add
This is why Joe is my favorite person at Santagato Studios! ❤ humble enough to know he’s not very educated, smart enough to give actual decent advice, and kind enough to know that everyone is at different levels of intelligence/knowledge/understanding and gives examples to each one. Love this one! 🌷
I love how at 9:50 Joe literally explained Aristotle's Virtue Ethics to a T. You have to be at least a little scared to be courageous enough to do something. But you can't be too sure of yourself either. Joe is honestly an incredible advice giver.
Youre health/wellness advice was genuinely so good, its what my dietician basically told me as well. The harsher and harder you go at first the less likely you will stick to a plan. Little things like lowering your portions, or even just adding a veggie where you normally wouldn't and working your way up can make a bigger difference than you think and work to build lifelong habits! Joe, you are very smart, don't talk down about yourself so much!
This is all very solid advice. Love that you’re honest about the negative aspect of things as well. I think a lot of people try to sugar coat things too much. It’s important to be kind of corse but I hate when people say everything is going to go great immediately. It’s so important to just be real
Speaking of confidence, you need more of that in your ability to give advice! This is all genuinely great stuff and I admire your honesty and integrity.
It’s so cool to see this side of you. You’re such a silly goofy guy but on the other end of that you’re a truly genuine and insanely insightful person. This was a wonderful video!!
Spot on advice Joe!!! literally the question about to how to move on from someone who gives you the bare minimum was 100% like 5 years ago, I fell hardcore for a guy friend who wasn’t ready for a relationship. It was super scary to say “hey I have these feelings…what next” but (luckily) he was mature enough to talk thru everything and that was it, I had my answer. It hurt a lot at the time, we stayed friends for a little but both eventually moved on to bigger and better things. And now I’ve been with my fiancé for 3.5 years and he always gives maximum effort to our relationship ❤
This is such an awesome video! I love your videos and how brutally open you are, this video was just rich with fantastic advice without any bullshit other people give when asked advice. I'd happily binge a series of this!
Honestly, videos like this are why I'm glad I stumbled on Joe and his channel. Yeah, he's given plenty of laughs and ridiculousness over the years. But when he sets aside the comedy for a bit, he's surprisingly one of the most genuine, caring people on social media. When you see a video called "The Best Advice I Have to Offer" by Joe Santagato, I'm clicking it thinking it gonna be a lot of his typical sarcasm. But I had to pause the video halfway through to write this because I was pleasantly dead wrong. It really makes me happy seeing heartfelt advice that can apply to anyone. I can say on a very personal level, that one about learning how to stop pursuing a friend who you care about on a romantic level but realistically will never happen hit me hard. Those false hopes have driven me insane even though she already turned me down years ago. Most people who subscribe are always demanding more Mad Libs. Can we get more Honest Advice videos? They're a great change of pace.
My advice (as a random guy on the internet) about not caring what other people think is to realise that ‘you are enough’. You can be proud of the person you are. If you do that, the opinions of others is meaningless. Most ‘haters’ are jealous and lie. If an idiot insults you, take it as a compliment. Idiots are virtually always wrong. Now, if a sensible respectable person gives you negative yet constructive criticism, you may want to take that seriously. I’m happy with who I am, flaws and all, and I know I will keep trying to improve myself regardless of what others do or say.
yknow the advice of setting little consistent goals first is really great. I struggle a lot with keeping routine because i try to jump right into it full force. I should try giving myself smaller things to accomplish and work my way to adding more of my routine. thanks !
I wasn’t expecting this video to be so thoughtful & lovely? Which, shame on me, Joe, you’re wonderful. But this was really nice & you gave really great advice 🫶🏻
As cheesy as it sounds the most difficult gym session by far is the first one, it becomes so much easier after you get going but getting to that point can be really tough.
This 💯 !! I started going back a few months ago and had so much anxiety in the beginning. Now I have an itch to go workout, not for anything but setting that time for me & showing up for myself.
The career advice is amazing and what I needed to hear as someone that struggles with getting the confidence of doing what I want to and get out of a career I’m in and have been in
I loved the way he worded the first question when you care a lot about what you do there is bound to still be stress but good stress and use it and unwind when your not at work
Joe actually gives pretty sound advice fr. Not only is good, but he makes it comical in a way where it’s easy to take it. The 2nd one where the guy hs a crush on his best friend had me crackin up
Great advice on the diet and exercise❤. Like I always tell people: it isnt a race. It too you this many years to get to this weight and size, you can take all you need to get to your goal. As long as you are always facing the direction of your goal and baby stepping it out, its all good. Dont let one or two off days throw you off either. Just get back up and start stepping in the right direction again..however slow you need to go. Also, dont label any thing you do as good or bad. ❤
Thank you, Joe! The third or fourth advice is so me! I used to tell guys straight up when I liked them and everybody would freak the f out. "You can't do that, stop doing that, you're scaring them all away, you gotta play the game!" 🤦🏻♀️ Nah, thanks.
Hey Joe, love all your videos, everything you say on here is hilarious. Been watching for years. Would love to see new people of walmart videos. Keep the laughs rolling. 👍
That first one is easy to answer: Is the money good, and do you enjoy what you do at least HALF the time? If yes to both then yea.. suck it up, buttercup. It's going to be stressful at times, but you have a GOOD job. Be grateful.
Hey Joe. Want to say hi. You did a personal message for me in 2020. It was a gift from my 2 Beautiful Daughters. And it’s been 4 years now and I’m happy to say I am cancer free.
Congrats on being cancer free 🎉
CONGRATS!!!
Woohoo 🙌🏼🎉
That’s so awesome
I didn’t want this comment to be about me. BUT THANK ALL FOR THE POSITIVE REPLIES. I was just thanking Joe for the encouragement that really did play a role in my fight to be alive. So THANK YOU JOE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY ❤️.

you say you’re an “idiot” joking or not you are actually giving great advice. you are such a genuine person
Also Joe's very self aware and a good naturalitity for psychological cognitive behavior, not everyone possesses that trait, well done Joe!!:>:):)
Guy gives advice and then closes with “maybe we’ll do this again in the past”
His editors did him dirty keeping that in.
I can't believe Greg didn't even catch that one and point it out lol 😂
People saying they are surprised with the good advice from Joe but this is what character development looks like when you go to therapy consistently. Proud of how far he has come as a person. 😊

16:03 "maybe we'll do this again in the past"....what?!😂🤣
We got a pilot and a season finale of this series at once 😅😂
Came to the comments just to confirm i heard it right 😂😂
Came straight to the comments 🤣🤣🤣
Came straight to see if this was in comments 😂
Glad I'm not the only one 💀💀
My therapist once told me "you shouldn't care what EVERYBODY thinks, but you should care what the people you love think" and I've lived by that since.
Ooh that’s a good one
Girl you got u a good therapist!!!!! Love it
Very good advice;)
that's such great advice thank you for sharing! 🤍
"the people who mind don't matter and the people who matter don't mind"
Dude, not joe spitting fire advice like cool step dad lolol
he gives cool elder cousin in my opinion
Why pay for better help when we have Joe
😂😂😂
“I like changing, and I like working on myself” - words only said by a man in consistent therapy 😂👏🏻
Therapy can actually b quite fun, it all depends on you and your perspective of it, despite what som people may think of therapy as;)
You sure? Because this sounds like most men..
His answer to the weight loss motivation question was so nice, he made perfect sense yet was not douchey like so many dudes can be on that topic
"just do more than you're doing now, and do that for a week" this is actually really great advice that I'm gonna try in my life. slow progress is still progress and is better than nothing, thanks joe!!
even just doing it when you can is more than nothing
It's great advice! My thing is, I try to make a bunch of changes all at once and do it for like a week and then revert back and get pissed off bc it didn't work out. Doing it little by little will be a challenge bc I'm impatient lol but I'm gonna have to try this for sure

Not odd. Actually says a lot about how intelligent and compassionate you are too, ❤ love this
Nothing is better than having a new video from Joe Santagato.
Advice Joe hit these questions out of the park.
Wow I mean when a human just has the ability to take constructive criticism and make themselves a better person, it just speaks volumes to their character. Such breath of fresh air
More people in the world should b like that, I honestly wonder if som of the world's problems would b nonexistent if that happened😱

Tearing up over this genuine advice. Honestly great to hear someone validate the things you've been working toward. Love this
Yes, you should definitely do this again "in the past" Joe! Lmfao
Sitting here post birth of baby number 3. I’ve always been overweight but eff it, I’m gonna set little goals. It’s a great idea. Thanks, Joey 🤟
“I’m not qualified to give advice”… *gives great advice*
Damn Joe out here with the surprisingly deep and helpful advice

This is the best advice video I've ever seen! You are so genuine and made amazing points!
that 2nd one was definitely Frankie
The first one too
😂😂😂
Spot on 🤣
I wasn’t expecting this video to be so thoughtful & lovely? Which, shame on me, Joe, you’re wonderful. But this was really nice & you gave really great advice 🫶🏻
we all say we come to this channel for laughs, but we all know we really come here for joe’s advice.
I would take advice from Joe any day! You gave such genuine answers and I just trust you as a good guy.
You are so sweet! I know, you might not wanna hear it lol You can tell you are genuine and kind. Also f-ucking hilarious
I don’t think you ramble - you just give examples and instances to clarify your point. That’s very helpful. I feel like your advice is solid. 👍🏼
Joe’s emotional maturity >>>
These are great, Joemyster. I really enjoyed this. Make more of these
Joey w the emotional intelligence👏🏼 lmao really enjoyed this vid tho, appreciate the straight up & genuine advice :)
Joes got such a pure heart

I loved the way he worded the first question when you care a lot about what you do there is bound to still be stress but good stress and use it and unwind when your not at work
i swear these videos instantly cure my depression ❤, love you guys!
Yo this is actually fire advice. Props to Joey
Joe, you actually gave some good advice in this - believe in yourself more!💕
Hi Joe I’m Jenn also in NY I just wanted to say thankyou your videos really help me during panic attacks
Joe actually gives pretty sound advice fr. Not only is good, but he makes it comical in a way where it’s easy to take it. The 2nd one where the guy hs a crush on his best friend had me crackin up
My favorite video so far of the month.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great video Joe, please continue giving advice. We appreciate you
maybe we’ll do this again in the past 😭
Beat me to it lmao
Joe's a time traveler confirmed 😅
Greg laughing in the background cracks me up every video.
the fact that this is all genuinely incredible advice lmao
15:30 not joe giving the exact same amazing advice he gave 6+ years ago ❤
LOTS OF LOVE FROM SWEDEN ❤️🇸🇪
Great advice on the diet and exercise❤. Like I always tell people: it isnt a race. It too you this many years to get to this weight and size, you can take all you need to get to your goal. I grew up watching your hilarious content! Keep up the fantastic work 🖐😊
Thank you, Joe! The third or fourth advice is so me! I used to tell guys straight up when I liked them and everybody would freak the f out. "You can't do that, stop doing that, you're scaring them all away, you gotta play the game!" 🤦🏻♀️ Nah, thanks.
I love this. This is what brought me to this channel.
Joe's got some really great advice, this is actually awesome
Look at Joe being “Dear Andy” … great job! 🙂
LOVED this episode, so grown up Joey 🥹🥹
Literally all of this is great advice 🔥
Hey Joe, love all your videos, everything you say on here is hilarious. Been watching for years.
Would love to see new people of walmart videos.
Keep the laughs rolling. 👍
I’m impressed. That was actually good advice!
Ok Joey, I see you. I didn’t expect this level of deepness when I clicked 💙
LOVE. More advice videos please ☺
Joe has good vibes and good advice ❤
The way you explained the birthday drinking night is what I do a lot!🤣 Damn pizza!
I was waiting for Greg to laugh off camera at Joe trying the pronunciation!! And his face lol
That first one is easy to answer: Is the money good, and do you enjoy what you do at least HALF the time? If yes to both then yea.. suck it up, buttercup. It's going to be stressful at times, but you have a GOOD job. Be grateful.
maybe its just the emotional maturity but joe is looking extra beefy and fine here
