I'm surprised New Mexico was not on the list. I lived in Las Cruces for 7 years comfortable.

Retirement becomes truly fulfilling when you possess two essential elements: ample financial resources and a meaningful purpose in life. Make prudent investment choices to secure good returns and ensure a comfortable retirement.

I live in Oklahoma and I'm getting out. Inflation is making everything unbearable.
The weather sucks. If you have physical issues that change with the climate, this is not the state.
Don't get me started about how messed up the politics and theism is in the state.

In your video on the most expensive states to retire in, Oregon was near the top of your list. So, which one is it? Too expensive, or a bargain basement?

I LOVED OREGON! Graduated from University of Oregon.
The Great Outdoors, the Pacific Coast, The Cascades, clean rivers and lakes. So why did we decide to leave? In the '90's the economy was hurting, lacking good, well paying jobs, even though my husband and I had excellent experience and education. I was originally from New York snd didn't attend high school in the local community, so I was sent to the back of the interview line. Cost of housing? TOO high! We did not see hope for a decent house at reasonable cost. We decided to leave the state.😮‍💨😢. But our tears were soon dried with the offer of excellent, well paying jobs, and a newly built home on an acre of land in a quality neighborhood.
    Thanks God!

Georgia is not affordable on property taxes at all. Mine have tripled in 2 years and I live in a 2 BR smaller house. Utilities are expensive here too. Groceries about $350 for one person a month. Atlanta (crime) might be affordable. But where I live isn’t.

    North Carolina ❤❤❤
Minus Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Charlotte, Greensboro, Coastal towns, Wilmington.. rest of the state ( yes, there is more lol)
Example.. we sold our inherited home on the coast.. 227,000.00 Needed 100% remodel. 90s decor.. 1/3rd of an acre. No water access.. 3 blocks away..
We purchased a home on the river ( waterfront) in June of 22. 3/4 acre, 16 miles from nearest grocery store. 1150 square feet. 20 x 30 with power in garage. Home needed TLC only like painting etc. We paid 215k. We love it ❤
We traded in the sounds of traffic and sirens To an occasional boat going by and the sounds of birds chirping 💕 💞
Ok, we didn't make the list... but to many of us in the rural areas We love it! Low cost of living, Low crime, plenty of fishing, boating and camping! Great neighbors helping each other in any time of need! Come join us. We are very welcoming 👋 👋

@@RetirementLifeUSA Thank you! I'm 60, fiancée is 59. We both have always lived nearly walking distance to a grocery store. This was very new to us both and would never think of leaving!! We are getting married in August of 25.
Getting married right here on our boat dock!!
Instead of flowers I may carry a fishing pole instead 🎣 ( no, flowers for the day 😀)
Reception will be in our garage with a pig cooker in the background!
      Life is good ❤
Ps.. being 32 mile round trip.. we always make sure we have everything we need for the week!
Our garden was amazing this past summer! Freezers are full!
      My grandkids love it too.
The youngest is 6... he's begging his daddy ( my son) to move to Mimis house so he can ride in the boat and fish everyday. I told them both, come on.
1200 a month rent for his 2 bedroom apartment in the larger city about 35 miles away. Maybe just maybe we'll build them a tiny home and his rent will be 0 !!
      Love your channel ❤️

Georgia, you state "Social Security is non-taxable in my state"? I suggest, Mr. Lucas check his resources on where he obtained his facts, on Georgia SS, Non-Taxed??

    • @RetirementLifeUSA
      @RetirementLifeUSA  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@yolie32228 Fact: Georgia does not tax Social Security retirement benefits and provides a maximum deduction of $65,000 per person on all types of retirement income for anyone 65 or older. The state’s sales tax rates and property tax rates are both relatively moderate. Georgia has no inheritance or estate taxes.
