    🛒 Ingredients (30 units approx.):
    🔸 2 Large eggs
    🔹 200 g all purpose flour (1 ⅓ cup)
    🔸 140 ml milk (½ cup + 1 tbsp)
    🔹 20 ml rum (1 tbsp + 1 tsp)
    🔸 40 g sugar (3 tbsp)
    🔹 6 g baking powder (1 tsp)
    🔸 A pinch of salt
    🔹 2 apples
    🔸 juice of 1 orange
    🔹 15 g unsalted butter (1 tbsp)
    🔸 1 tbsp honey
    🔹 Sugar and cinnamon for coating
    🍳Steps:
    1️⃣ Squeeze the orange and reserve the juice. Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.
    2️⃣ In a frying pan, add the butter. When it is melted, add the apple and mix. Add the honey and cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes. Pour the juice and continue cooking until it evaporates completely. Let it cool.
    3️⃣ In a bowl, put the eggs, sugar, a pinch of salt, rum and milk. Beat well with a hand whisk.
    4️⃣ Mix the flour with the baking powder and add it in batches to the previous mixture. When there are no lumps, cover and let stand 30 minutes. Stir in the apple.
    5️⃣ Take portions of a tablespoon and fry them in abundant oil in a frying pan. Make batches of 6 units so that the temperature of the oil does not drop too much. Turn them so that they brown evenly. It is important that, once the oil is hot, the heat is not too high, as they would toast too quickly on the outside and remain raw on the inside. The same can happen if the portions are very large.
    6️⃣ Transfer to a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess oil. While they are hot pass through a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
    👌 Note: you can replace the rum with anise or omit it and add 20 ml of milk.
    🍏They are not perfectly round because the dough is not very thick. If it had less liquid, they would be more perfect, but with a more compact and less juicy dough.
