I spent many weekends in Sierra Madre in the mid-late 1970's. Mary's (still there) was owned by my GF's grandmother, and there was a little enclave up in the canyon where the family lived. Happy times in a beautiful location.
My best friend lived there, he grew up there, we moved out to California in 2018. Great little place. A shame that Bean Town Café and the Four Seasons Tea Room have closed down. I hope they still have the East Alegria Street Halloween Gala (thank you especially for showing that street, as it is my favorite).
