It was sad to see how empty it is, use to go often when my kids were little, when it was primarily primates based on the conditions it was given to the city. It seemed more like a park with animals back then. Some years ago they added the farm animal area which was a draw for families and it stayed busy on weekends before covid. I am hoping the new construction and mission will bring it back to life, as there just aren't enough green spaces for people to take their kids to in OC. Thanks for the updated tour! It would be great to see it again after they have finished. The monkeys and primates can be worth the admission alone if you time your visit about an hour before feeding time!
