CryENB = because it makes your PC cry. Seriously, I have a 1080ti and I can get dips into the 40s or even 30s when running this mod. Usually it averages around 60-90. The drops are usually when the sun is right in your face and there's a lot of cars around.
I never really liked this mod, it took the feel out of the city, it didn't feel like it was new york, it felt more like Vancouver, it was too bright and colorful

I love the added details and texture quality, but the lighting was kinda destroyed; the ambient lighting and all the reflections were amazing, but all the dark areas where too bright. Especially in the end where he was standing in some kind of tunnel or something it was a really different mood to the setting around him with the mods compared to the original. Sunrise/sunset was awesome
In my opinion the ENB makes the game a bit unrealisitc due to the oversaturation. I prefer to use RealityIV, which is just a timecyc mod but makes the game look more realistic, yet keeping the new york atmosphere and doesn't make it too oversaturated and colorful. It's so beautiful, looking at the sunrises and sunsets escpecially but even in the middle of the day.
The mod, while beautiful, completely ruins the atmosphere. IV in my opinion is supposed to feel like a shit city, which plays into the story that IV has.
I wonder what is happening with lod textures of Happiness Island at 4:17. If you get higher with heli, or to right from poop deck with boat, it gets back to normal. I would swear it was fine long ago when i played IV on windowsXP.
The modded version is definitely impressive but the original just has some aspects to it that I think look better. You're in the city, its not a colorful, fun place. Its kind of bland and grey-scaled in a way, and to me, that looks better, or at least more natural. Granted, the better textures are always nice but I just think that the mods make it seem to colorful. Just my opinion.

Can this mod be modified in a way that it keeps these textures but the original colour grade of GTA 4? Because that is more in line with the vibe that suits the story.
Personally, I enjoy the original the most. I only installed the better textures. Those exaggerated vibrant colors complete ruin the atmosphere. If I wanted to play a summer vibrant game I'd play gta v. I'll stick with the depressing atmosphere of NYC. If anyone knows a mod that only improves the graphics but doesn't ruin the depressing aesthetic please reply.
after i installed it my cutscenes are just black now. the subtitle still work. is this a disadvantage of the mod or i am the only one with this problem?

How is a Xeon E3 1231 v3 and an ASUS STRIX GTX 970 (I think OC'd to 1250MHz..?) going to perform? Also, a Samsung 850 EVO SSD and Crucial Ballistix 1600MHz CL9 16GB (2x8 in Dualchannel) RAM are installed, but that is not going to affect the performance that much. I want to play it with those awesome mods, am I good to go?

Hey cool, dass ihr euch den Tipp mit CryENB anstatt Icenhancer zu Herzen genommen habt. In der Beschreibung steht, dass ihr Probleme mit Car Packs/Mods habt. Die Probleme hab ich auch, sobald ich nach ein paar minuten zocken mal die kamera um 180 grad drehe, sehe ich, wie alle Texturen erst wieder laden müssen und aufploppen, das wird mit der Zeit so schlimm, dass ich manchmal auf texturlosen Straßen rumfahre und übethaupt nichts mehr sehe. Liegt wahrscheinlich an Trafficload, der den TaxiBug mit Car Mods verhindert, indem er die Fahrzeuge schon vorher in den VRAM lädt. In Verbindung mit dem recourcenhungrigen Mod ist der VRAM dann irgendwann voll und es kommt zum TexturBug...nervig.
They are not cartoon colors, CryEnb(gine) just makes Liberty City ligtning into an amazing and 99% realistic environment (hence the Cry name comes from CryEngine). Vanilla LC just looks bad, dull and unrealistic because Niko is so sad that he sees everything through a sadness filter(the piss filter), plus the game being set in autumn just make it look worse.

Tested this last week and from experience it does make the game look better, higher contrast, higher saturation and AA was much better and it was very easy too install but its unfortunately broken, buildings dissapear, roads vanish, buildings flicker and im only getting around 50fps with the game set to medium graphics and i have a high end pc running with gtx 1080, Ryzen 5 2600 & 16GB Ram so as a review id suggest you try out a different graphic mod as this is unplayable even on a high end pc

I run this mod and I love it, but the game is so poorly optimized that even with all the tricks and fixes I learned it will never run as it should. I've seen ppl with I7 / GTX 980 setups struggle with fps and other issues.

The only thing I could complain about is the fact that they took all of the New York mist out of the atmosphere. At least should have had it appear at long distances, like when you were standing on top of the tower looking down at the city.

I run this mod ultra except shadow in high , well i get 120fps indoors and 60fps or MORE outdoors, yes some dips around water reflection or heavy cars and lights ( im running on a 1060 so should be powerfull enough lool )
I have AMD Radeon R6 integrated graphics card with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor and 4GB ram haha and with this mod I get 15 FPS indoors and 0-4 FPS outdoors. Fun.

Lmfao, I have an rx 570 and it does 40-80 fps. Find some ways to help the game optimisation like Microsoft contig. That is a massive help

You can tweak the settings of CryEnb, I believe.
I'm working on a configuration that removes the overdone vibrant-ness this mod brings.

I run this mod ultra except shadow in high , well i get 120fps indoors and 60fps or MORE outdoors, yes some dips around water reflection or heavy cars and lights ( im running on a 1060 so should be powerfull enough lool )
I have AMD Radeon R6 integrated graphics card with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor and 4GB ram haha and with this mod I get 15 FPS indoors and 0-4 FPS outdoors. Fun.
