Wow.. Amazing. Your dedication to that Top Acid was admirable. So I tried counting and it took you 51 tries until your first real locked in Top Acid. And then you did about 7 or so more after that. That is incredible! I usually stop trying the same trick I’d say around the twenties before I move on. Your tenacity is stalwart! Thanks again for taking a lot of time and sweat to rock some blades a lot of us are interested in and giving an experienced wisdom filled review. See you next video!
Man if that wasn't a consistency video, I don't know what it is. Kudos on pushing through. All your other tricks were locked on though. Thanks for sharing
You are relentless with those top acids! If I miss something 3 times, I leave it alone for that session. Some days I cant do topsides, some days I can. But it looks like you are a lot better at falling or sliding out than me.
Awesome video as always. Way to stick with it and do a few top acids in the end. I usually try and warm up doing topside tricks I am more comfortable with before throwing down a top acid or any other more challenging topside tricks. And if I get stuck on a trick, sometimes it helps me to build my confidence back up by doing some other tricks I can land. But obviously your method works! Love what you're doing.
I Lawrence ! Nice Park ! You will Ride with Razzors now ? Or it was Just for Fun, and Test this Blades ?! Are the Razzors SL better as the news AEON'S green and red ? Law, an opinion: It seems to me that the same reason royales are easier to do in those boots, top-acids would be hard. When you locked the soul foot, you would slip out on the acid boot. But, you probably can't keep the acid foot at a shallow enough angle to keep it from sliding out. I would have a difficult time too. I think it would be true for everyone that the natural angle of the acid foot would be at a steeper angle than a natural royale angle. But, it is easier to train the flex in the Royale boot than the acid boot because of the extra flexion around the ankle.
How will you compare these with the cult? Soul plate is bigger on SL’s so I assume is easier to lock royale? I’m hesitating in getting the razors or the usd vii, but I think with the USD will be easier to lock royales. Keep up with the good work! Your videos inspired so many to come back on wheels!
I think the difference in the thickness of the shock absorber is what it offsetting your topside foot. Your foot is going to the same spot but because the shock absorber is thicker it's pushing your foot to an over locked position.
Back to Blading I had the same issue when I switched from the Shima 3 to the Genesis boot. Took a week or two to get all my tricks back with the Genesis boot.
Some days you got it other days you havent.. dont sweat it just accept that on this particular day top acid wasnt working. you can get to a point on days like that where you overthink the process and end up trying to hard. its counterproductive. Guaranteed next time you will be back on form with them without even trying. when you "try"to do something it presupposes failure. so dont "try" and do it . just do it. take the positives from the session. Some great looking soull and groove tricks. Clinical on some fo those fake tricks.. its all good. ALL THE BEST
Back to Blading cheers for the quick reply, I’m changing skates currently skating k2 front street and have ordered two navy sl have a made the right choice?
I just bought some new old stock Senate sinister liners on eBay. If you are interested in doing a retro review let me know and I can send em to you when they arrive.
Correct me if I am wrong. 7:54 time for topsides...(immediately begins switch) XD you may just want the challenge of switch and don't even think about it.
When it gets to a point where you really neeed to mod many things to get the skates the way you want, it seems they are not good at all. I've seen other vídeos, where the person puts a skate and there you go... not need to mod. Perfect the way it is.
Back to Blading I think it would be a good idea, you know what you want in a good skate and I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate and buy it. Just sayin🤷🏼♂️
You're used to high heel skates, you really dont need to arch your heel and lean in so much on Topsides in SLs, you only need to bend your ankle and arch the foot very slightly and your foot should already be where it needs to be. Also don't wax the inside of the cuff, that's just going to make them SUPER unstable (the cuffs do slip around even when tightened even if it's not visible) instead put Epoxy where the cuff and the boot meet. And for really solid slides I epoxy between the souls as well and use a heavier frame. Featherlites are possibly the weakest slowest sliding frame out there, I would much rather use 50/50's in an SL setup.
You lean forward to much on those top acids. 90% of the weight should be on your back foot. It might me scary with topsides, but it's an only way to do them stable and consistent. Try practicing fishbrain stalls, to get used to the feeling of keeping all of your weight on your topside foot - when you have fish-stalls on lock, all the topside grinds are going to be easy to master.

Haha, thanks for counting! I didn’t want to stop, I knew I could land it. It’s worth showing the failure as well as the success.
That back farv (among other tricks) you are mad steezin love seeing that low grind position
Thanks man! I love that feeling
landing all those grinds even made the subtitles applaud ( 4:07 )
Man if that wasn't a consistency video, I don't know what it is. Kudos on pushing through. All your other tricks were locked on though. Thanks for sharing
Yeah, thanks. That’s what’s so bizarre, everything else felt solid. Oh well
You are relentless with those top acids! If I miss something 3 times, I leave it alone for that session. Some days I cant do topsides, some days I can. But it looks like you are a lot better at falling or sliding out than me.
I didn’t want to give up! But my legs could only do so much. Thanks for the support!
Gonna need new jeans after those topside acids.
A huge improvement on your grinds
Keep it up dude
Currently skating the SLs and loving them for groove tricks with the Medium Oysi frames. It's like skating anti rocker for back royales xD
Don't sweat the topside stuff, it's a young bendy man's game anyways haha.
Haha, true true. But I know how to play!
Cool video! love the commitment
Thanks, I try
You are getting super solid skates. I hate to see you struggle , looking forward to seeing ride reign in the Sl navy.
Bay fam🌉
Thanks!
Much respect for the top acid persistence. Great video makes me curious to give razors a try.
My legs are tired tonight. Next session I’ll go back and make it right
I just had my 2nd son and Am going back sk8ing thank you
Excellent! Kids are awesome
I am following you dont stop

Thanks! I need to focus on topsides one session. Try them all a few times and see what feels right.
that back royale was the fuego!
Haha, thanks Frank
Topsides are a lot easier on higher ledges. I’d like to see you try some stuff on those high ass ledges :)
Lol, I need more of a warmup for that sorta thing!
Have you tried topsides in Aeons yet? The soul being so close to your feet makes it much more consistent for topsides imo
Yep, and they feel just fine. Even 72s
@@BacktoBlading nice!
I’d like to see you do some tricks on that upper curb and land on the smaller one and manual out! That would be pretty sweet!
Haha, is like to see that too. #goals

Plus they change the Wheels for 88A as 90A ?? Why ? So it's Perfect for Flat Setup !! Have Fun with Blading ! Big Up to all Riders

Hmmm, that’s an interesting idea. I’d agree except I landed them just fine my first time. Really just stumped for today. Thanks for the suggestion!

The Cult is a fairly budget skate. These are very comfortable and have a great soul
I think the difference in the thickness of the shock absorber is what it offsetting your topside foot. Your foot is going to the same spot but because the shock absorber is thicker it's pushing your foot to an over locked position.
You might be right. Will see with the VII shocks. Good catch
Back to Blading I had the same issue when I switched from the Shima 3 to the Genesis boot. Took a week or two to get all my tricks back with the Genesis boot.
what size shell are you using? I have some new old stock UHMW sliders from the guy who ran SWS i think they are for 10-11 shell I can send you.
That’s my size! Hit me a message on your service of choice and I’ll pay you!
Back to Blading check you FB Messenger
U talking about the plates al used to make at octona
I like the squeak lol.
have you thought of adding a video component to the podcast? webcams etc
We’ve played with the idea but it didn’t add much. Maybe if we were in person, or had a guest.

Preach!
I ice skated as a child & can’t balance on inline sheets. I think for me it’s age. You will land that trick consistently. Keep rolling. 👍☮️🌞
Inline skates. Duh. Stupid autocorrect. 😬
Very nice! With the Razors your bs royal's looking steeze!!!
Thanks! They feel solid
Did your trick with the liner work?
Much better, but still pretty uncomfortable unfortunately
Back to Blading cheers for the quick reply, I’m changing skates currently skating k2 front street and have ordered two navy sl have a made the right choice?
To parallel on the top acid. Think of it like a frontside unity.
I’m trying!
I just bought some new old stock Senate sinister liners on eBay. If you are interested in doing a retro review let me know and I can send em to you when they arrive.
I’ve got a pair too. Super tech
How much do the weight? ?
Correct me if I am wrong. 7:54 time for topsides...(immediately begins switch) XD you may just want the challenge of switch and don't even think about it.
I’ve never been able to do a right foot topside, but left foot feels natural. I think because of the way I spin? I need to try the other way for sure.
how is the SL different from the Genesis?
I don’t know the Genesis, but I’ve heard they’re very wide fitting.
it was the razor's design that launched back in 2002 with the Murda. looks like the soul and royale groove have become a single piece now.
When it gets to a point where you really neeed to mod many things to get the skates the way you want, it seems they are not good at all. I've seen other vídeos, where the person puts a skate and there you go... not need to mod. Perfect the way it is.
Yeah. The VII were like that for me, as were the 908 and the Aeon60. But this is why I test skates.
Love the way those skates look but it sucks that the liners are not good
Easy upgrade, but I wish they were better out of the box.
Back to Blading yeah I was considering getting those ones but ended up getting Them908
You should make your own 50/50 skate!
Lol, all the money
Back to Blading I think it would be a good idea, you know what you want in a good skate and I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate and buy it. Just sayin🤷🏼♂️
I would love to. Someday...
@@olmsteed369 who'd have thought only 3 years later it's happening! The new standard is coming 🎉

Yep, the angle threw me off. Much better today.
Ah man, being unable to land a trick you know you can do is the worst. I've had many sessions like this..
It’s like a mental barrier I just couldn’t get over. Frustrating!

Yeah, that actually got fixed a bit by swapping the shock absorber. It had a ton of forward lean, much better now
8:09 - 9:01 for the love? really? a minute of ass plants because you didn't jump high enough? love ya dude, but, c'mon..get a clue. sry
