over 21 years ago i lost a leg with my tl 1000 only S. that was the best motorcycle. i liked to call her my japanese ducati. the sound and the acceleration were awesome. v2 forever
Thats a shame man, how you coping with the missing limb? I did like the TL however the riding position and the whole dynamics of the bike made it so that I no longer enjoyed riding with groups on longer journeys, solo rides were still fun but there's a certain wall you hit where every solo ride you take more and more risks and it wasn't worth it in the end. Now riding a Varadero 1000cc and would never go back to a sport after this.
@@RideToLive102 The missing leg is doing quite well. i have a c-leg prosthesis and am happy with the technology. okay the arm is also a bit shorter but still there. in spite of all that, i still like motorcycles. was previously a kawa driver and fan (z650, 900 + 1000 gpz). the tl was not the best for group trips. I preferred to drive with my friend suzuki 1200 bandit. a lot of driving fun in the sauerland (sauerland is powerland :)) with my v2 and its 4 cylinder machine
Suzuki ✔️ Monster Helmet✔️ T-shirt✔️ Camo shorts✔️ Slides with socks✔️ But seriously, that's a sweet bike. Just got to ride one today and really enjoyed it. What a great sound from that V-twin.
Chill out Robert, I was selling the bike and the buyer requested a video of how the bike runs on low revs, walking pace and overall, I'm not gonna gear up for a ride up and down the road you pillock, don't make assumptions.
Thx, mate.. I was interested to get an idea on how I would look on a similar bike. I'm 190 cm, btw.. The bike doesn't look a bit small. That's perfect!!
You either love the bike or you hate it, in all honesty I didn't believe that but it happens to be very true, there isn't a neutral feeling about this bike. Love or hate! You'll look good on it, it's a big boy bike lol
Badass bro. Im getting the same bike in 2 weeks. Will be my first bike and im a new rider. I will def respect the power but you think I will be able to handle it?
Sorry for the late reply, it's an awesome bike, but like they say you can either hate it or love the widow maker, in my case unfortunately the riding position was as bad as I never expected especially during a long ride got so uncomfortable it made the journey unpleasant, there is a bike for everybody, the 1000cc twin engine made low end pull like a monster and Ofcourse the sound of the twin with aftermarket pipes makes your heart melt
Hey, late comment but I bought a '98 TL1000s in '99 and loved it, so much that it almost killed me, stupid mistake I made and ended up with a broken leg in 4 places. Anyways, personally I wouldn't pick this "Widow Maker" for a first bike, but to each its own. Starting in 1999 Suzuki tuned down the bike, maybe a cautionary move but if I ever get another bike, it will be the same, will search for a 1998 not less or more, LOVE THE TL1000s!! Had its issues but is a beast that you ride and need to learn how to tame it, it has a very deceiving power specially on curves at the apex when you floor it, wanted to stand up. Maybe a long message but memories just came back when I saw the link for this video, ride safe!

One of the best sounds to ever come from a motorcycle IMO
Basically every bike with a V-Twin does exactly this sound
@@acasualweeb.2394 not all are as brutal.
Try an SP1 or 2.

Cudo maszyna. No i polski akcent - klapki i skarpety :D
Best looking bike combined with sound, change my mind
Miło 'spotkać' (usłyszeć) Polaka na takim moto za granicą. Pozdro i powodzonka z moto :)
polak w uk to żadna nowość czy coś rzadko spotykanego :)
Skarpetki (oczywiście białe) i klapki. Król wiochy jest jeden.
I am the wiocha 🤣🐙
Nice Bike 👏👏👏
Grrrrrrrr so nice, I started mine today after many years. Tomorrow I ride it
Harley sound!
Lol at the boy on the bicycle and the little girl running to see his motorcycle. I remember me,my sisters and brothers doing that as kids.
This one sounds beautiful....the way I like these v-twins to sound
It does, I did cut the cans by about 6" tho 🍻
Nice!
I have an '03 SV1000S. In comparison the sound of the bigger cams and valves is apparent in this video.
I want this bike. Tis gorgeous!
Nice socks and sandals. Maybe you should just ride in crocs next time
Darth Vader would be Proud!😁👍
Skarpety i sandaly.
You were begging for it. That senior citizen was going for his Harley.
His GF must be realllly impressed.
❤️
Klapki i skarpetki na Moto, Polacy w Anglii witają..
Cool bike!
No headlight death trap. Sounds good, maybe a little loud for my taste. Was there a lot of vibration in the bars to make hands numb?
I'm gonna become a cool guy too when I start driving my motorcycle wearing slippers...
Mr Black yes you will
@Phillyfishguy the cock.
Cool
Beast.
Nice bike but what's with the sox and sandals?
Own one, too. Nice black headlights, love it. Street legal in EU? Manufacturer?

tls was (is) my first bike too and its easy enough to handle, just dont hit the gas too hard or it may flip over or make a monkeyride :P

t as pas l impression de faire chier tes voisins ?
I don't really care tbh, 2 minutes of noise every other day isn't going to spoil somebody's tea
Let's go fast in a parking lot see if we can get up to 30 miles an hour
That was fast for you? 🤣
@Martin Grimes yeah my limit is pumping your girl in the ass 30 x so about 30 miles an hour..😅😅😅😅😆😆😆😆😆😆
identical to the one I had... seriously powerful but handling was absolutely awful.. like as bad as it gets
RED MOBILE uk yeah handling was horrendous, 360 turn like a bus lol
MK_Heretic one review I read said ( novice riders can skip the test ride and go straight to the morgue)
