There have been accidents in transportation of fireworks. I believe to properly transport the shells they have to take measures that the chemical material does not leak out of the box if a shell breaks open. They will also bag and box groups of shells. An extra measure is to bag each one. Because if it leaks out of the box now you have chemical on the floor and the potential to ignite from friction of what ever. Hopefully someone out there will help me confirm what I am saying.

At 8:00 you say the bags are to catch any stars/break charge if they break... I really don't know what they are for, but damn you would have to drop the box of them pretty hard to break them! I wonder if anyone knows for sure what they are for. Amazing videos btw, I can't keep up with them you pump them out so fast.

I would tend to agree with you that the plastic bag is there to keep a shell from leaking in the event it breaks during transportation. This could be dangerous especially if more then one shell breaks, because of chemical incompatibilities ( chlorate and sulfur as an example.) I have asked a couple of the guys I shoot with and they have all said it is to keep the contents from leaking.

Or you wear your Pyrotecnico shirt and offer to help carry all those heavy ass steel tubes and racks from the truck to were they're setting up at. Definitely hard work carrying all that stuff. I remember we did a show in Chillicothe, OH at a country club, we had to carry those damn racks half a mile through the course.

good stuff....were looking to build these kind of racks for our shells ...not shells you guys use but like cylinder shells or the other types you get from phantom or skyking...skyking sells racks for 40 bucks....there built pretty well but there 40 bucks

Are you aware that you have only made one positive comment on my videos? It is either the shroud on the ematch , fueling the vehicle and now this. This guy is not working the display, he only stopped to say hello.

Shells are in bags for a rain resistant, they are pointless and just make a mess in the guns, we always take the bags off. I guess they could keep from components leaking?

No, these guys are ok with me. I like to quiz the old timers a little. We were all talking stuff. That plastic bag on some shells is commonly misunderstood. I have seen guys remove the bag before they place the shell in the mortar; most guys think it is to keep the shell dry. I keep waiting for someone to comment in agreement with me on it is to prevent chemical leaking out of the box in the event of damage to the shell. Shipping and classification dictates more than people realize.

If I did a small hand fired show and had a fair time to spare, I would cut off those ports and save them.. =D

The 1st year you taped the setup at this show the kid doing the setup for Pyrotecnico was friendly. The past 2 years the guys for Pyrotecnico act like they're on work-release from prison, I keep looking for a guard with a shotgun watching over them. They have the dreaded..."I'm cool because I'm setting up fireworks" attitude! I like your videos because you're not like that, and neither am I. Guys that act like that are the guys with the least experience, just my opinion.
