Excuse me sir, my suggestion is for your channel to grow quickly. add how to design pumps based on needs,For example, a self-priming pump for sucking 20 meters is like this and for a pump sucking 10 meters is quite like this.Thank you so much, your channel is good and I as an Indonesian appreciate your hard work
Do these pumps have special sealing arrangements that donot overheat or start leaking when it takes time to fill the suction line completely with water. Secondly in the animation the discharge from impeller goes in two direction. One outlet but the do the bottom half only pressurize the casing or i am seeing the animation incorrectly. Thank you
I have a question , why self prime pump is good for liquid with particles ? Do you mean that if the check valve remains open in normal prime water with particles , the liquid may go inside the pump through suction line and when the pump starts to work may cause vibration or cavitation ?
In the animation, the water is lifted without any movement of the water in front of the of the intake being visibly displaced by the impeller. So it is not obvious what is creating the low pressure at the inlet to cause the initial lift.
What is the cost for a self-priming pump. We have a 20 acre pasture but we don't want to manually go prime the pump. We have a five horse pump right now. Do they make an attachment for the five horsepower?
What about the distance from the water source? Let's say the water source is 50meters below, will the pump still be able to suck the water up perfectly, please?
No, because this will cause problems with the NPSHr. Even a self-priming pump can only suck up the medium from about 6-7 meters. In your example you would typically use a borehole pump. Hope this helps!
Hello, can't these types of pumps suck from a distance longer than 8 meters? If he can't, why? The length in question is 35 meters. thank you in advance
Very good explanation! Thank you

very well explained. thank you sir
Damn...that's a very good explanation 👍
Very good. Thank you!
The total suction line and the delivery line both are empty only the impeller is along submerged is that enough for suction of water from 6meters?

How full does the pump need to be filled with liquid to achieve the maximum static lift when repriming?
What about length of suction line?
can we use the self priming pump in fire protection as the main pump?

Can these pumps work if water level is above pump ?
Yes, they would work just like any other centrifugal pump would.
Really helpful information
Thank you!
😀
Do you have knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals that go into the design of impeller and volute? If yes can you please make any content on it
Thanks for the suggestion, will definitely look into this one!

We don't know the specifics of your situation, but you could probably also install a foot valve in your current installation :)
tks so much !!!
It will work the self priming pump is deep well?

I watched again and again but I still didn't understand this self priming pump.
Help please
