The biggest reason to not believe he did it is that Twitch didn't contact the police about him. If he DID do it and Twitch didn't get police involved, then Twitch is seriously screwed up.
Different states have different ages of consent, and we don't know the exact words used in the alleged DM's, so what Doc did might have been technically legal in some states, but creepy enough that Twitch didn't want anything to do with him. Also, the girl perhaps didn't want her life destroyed by going to court over it, and was satisfied with Doc getting banned. OR maybe Twitch covered it up to protect their own reputation.
@@mvprime8 There is not a single state where it's legal for someone above the age of 22 to have a relationship with a minor of any age. I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy is projecting! I bet that he’s done the same thing, maybe even worse (hopefully not! If he did, give him either one of two options: the death sentence or life in prison, either way he’s gone! Disgusting! 🤮).

Not having a dig, just i see the cheating thing thrown around alot, but with no context.
In my experience, the person laying the blame is usually guilty of the very thing they are accusing someone else of. Or in playground rules: you point one finger at me, you got 9 fingers pointing back at YOU.
I mean if you have two brain cells to rub together you understand that if Doc did this, Twitch would have never paid him out and took it to court. The fact the settled tells you that they were deeply in the wrong and were afraid he would not only take them to task for wrongful termination but defamation on top of it. It was cheaper to have him sign an NDA to save face for their screw up and pay him his contract.
Depends, he was the face of twitch and they broke privacy laws reading his whispers. A settlement would be expedient for both parties. His nondenial is quite telling. I am not convinced this is not true.
This gives Twitch a black eye, that a former employee can just leak confidential information. I would assume that Twitch has NDA’s with former staff that prohibit them from publishing things like this, but I might be wrong. In any case, this looks like there’s Twitch employees who are spying on people who use their apps.
Cody Conners saying he won't get sued because lawyers work weekends and nothing has hit yet. 😂 Kid is in for a surprise, good lawyers take all the time they need to investigate and dig into their targets background.
There needs to be much higher repercussions to false alligations, slander and defamation of character incidents. This needs to be a serious crime to where they get 3 to 5 years minimum for trying to ruin other people's lives. Far too many people get their lives ruined and are completely innocent of any wrong doing. Time to hold these people accountable.
I stand by my statement. “Trust me bro” still isn’t a credible source. Not to mention this means Twitch sat on it for 4 years, so /if/ true that makes Twitch looks even worse then they normally do. I hope Doc sues the ever loving shit out of both Connors AND Slasher.
Rather obvious at this point that this is a Ex Twitch employee who desperately needs attention and funding for his new company. If it was true Twitch could've A. Not paid out the rest of his contract for committing a felony and B. should've bent him over in court with it instead of lose.
Unless someone, anyone, comes out with verifiable proof that dr disrespect did anything scummy then these people should be silent before a huge lawsuit gets filed against them
What I've noticed through my entire life, is that when someone makes a statement, then ends the statement claiming finality, it's bullshit 99% of the time. When someone doesn't want you to think for yourself, they usually try to rush you into making a judgement. It also paints a disturbing picture in my mind of the person making the claim. If what they are saying is true, they seem to be very nonchalant about the attempted crime. They seem more concerned with winning, with the rewards that come with outing an alleged criminal, than with protecting a victim, or potential future victims. The extra added information that they were trying to profit off of the drama, just kind of cements in my mind that they are morally bankrupt. Like really? You're going to try to profit off the information, involved in what is an incredibly serious crime? Seems like a coordinated effort to tear someone down for clout.
They didn't tell Doc why their deal fell apart until the lawsuit. Doc represented he had a huge deal from Mixer (before they went out of business) and drove Twitches price up to $20 million. Mixer goes out of business while Doc and Twitch were negotiating, so Twitch backed out, knowing he was playing them.
Yep, this. Had nothing to do with this other bs this guy is saying, else Twitch wouldn't have settled with him and paid him. Doc wouldn't have had a leg to stand on and definitely wouldn't have sued Twitch in the first place if that were true...
Absolute defamation of character. All that has to happen is for Doc to lose 1 deal and there will be damages. Also, Twitch should be filing suit as they are tied to the same NDA as Doc is and now they have a former employee currently representing the company and talking about something I highly doubt he was part of during mediation.
If this turns out to be true, it still doesn't look good for twitch. A major content creator was using their service to groom a minor - and they kept quiet about it? I thought there was some sort of legal obligation to report this sort of thing to law enforcement?
Well uh, i don't think Doc would've sued Twitch in the first place if what this guy is saying is true, that would be pure idiocy and career suicide. Also, Twitch wouldn't have settled and paid his contract. Anybody that was paying attention at the time to all this knows that it was all to do with the now defunct Mixer platform.
@@ManOfCulture1992 Eh, if it WERE true 1) Doc wouldn't have taken Twitch to court, that would be idiocy 2) Twitch wouldnt have settled in court and paid him his contract. Use your brain
How dumb do you have to be to lie, and try profit from those lies, about a person who just won a law suit against your former employer? Can't wait to hear about Cody getting forcedly grounded 😂
As a regular watcher of Doc, I think he should have never taken the NDA. It became a green light for him to have to deal with crap like this for the rest of his life. Random idiots can just blare out accusations, and Doc will never be able to fully clarify under the pact of the NDA.
That’s common practice for just about all settlements that go to mediation. You either take the settlement with NDA or wait years to get paid after dealing appeals.
@@Ptgtperson I would say wait the years, then. Your ability to say what you think is a portion of your soul. I would suggest not giving up portions of your soul.
@@Onedreamtoliveso he should have put his dreams on hold for several more years just so he could talk about what twitch did? What do you think is funding his game right now? Some people just want to move on from lawsuits and not dwell on them. My parents did the same thing and settled with NDA because they just wanted to move on.
@@Ptgtperson To a certain extent, yes. I do say his personal dreams are irrelevant to his soul and the souls that surround him. I have three thoughts in mind when it comes to NDAs. The first two involve a concentual muzzling for money. Scenario 1 is Doc's scenario, which can potentially be worse, where the person sells their speech for money and still has their reputation kicked around for whatever amount of time. Scenario 2 is the heart of my bias against NDAs, where the person has information worth exposing ethically (the exposing of pedophilia is a good example), but again muzzles him/herself for money so something awful stays under the rug. Scenario 3 is that everything goes well, and, somehow, whatever the truth is is actually better off staying hidden, which might be the case, but I am weary of. I believe sunlight is the best disinfectant almost always and that you can't take your dollars to the grave. I would much rather see Doc be a warrior for the gamer against the corporation (which is what he presents himself to be on every stream) than see him make his own video game. He could push the needle forward on fixing the corroded gaming industry (which is a topic he talks about on every stream), but instead, he went for the money and pushed himself forward. I believe he had and has the support, too. Doc has a huge fanbase. At the end of the day, the truth is that somebody needs to be the warrior, but Doc didn't show me that he's the one. But, I truly hope Doc is never annoyed by these people about this topic ever again.
The fact this did not become news in order to destroy him and have someone else steals his spot, is proof that it didnt happen and they made it the fck up.
Yeah I'm waiting for it, but something tells me he wont say anything. It will just be business as usual. I think the situation is just to complicated for him to just be able to talk about it. Without a lawyer approving everything he says. DOC's not stupid he know the more he draws attention to all this the more eye get put on it. and the more drama it will create. and he cant defend himself.
IT seems fairly obvious there was an accusation and Twitch booted him without investigating. Eventually through the lawsuit nothing was found that was nothing incriminating and he won the lawsuit. These clowns appear to be stuck at the accusation part and were dropped out of the loop at that point. As with hacking accusations, provide proof or STFU.
If Twitch setteled with Dr.Disrespect then there was no actual crime committed, otherwise authorities would have been involved, feels like this Cody guy is lying for clout, should be sued into oblivion if that's the case.
Why do you think he didn't mention Doc's name??? Because he knew he would be sued if he did. Let's see if a court / judge sides with Doc. Otherwise the Drive-by job has been done successfully.

I think that , Twitch staff were violating privacy rights of users and just reading messages, they come across his, fire him, he decides to sue, that goes into discovery, it comes to his attention of what twitch have been doing through that, so twitch says 'OK, we'll pay you off, and we won't tell people what you were doing and in return you don't tell people what we were doing'. I think that's what's happened here. It explains the ban, the reason for the pay out of the contract and the reason for his silence and theirs too, because they could each nuke the other. They could out him as a potential perv and if he speaks, twitch could end up paying far more than his contract was worth in legal battles and lawsuits and possibly even end up in front of Congress like fb and twitter.
Yea that's something major to point out. I was saying years ago about how all of the militant ideologue employees at these social media companies HAS to be actively reading DMs and collecting dirt on let's say conservative people. Hell this doesn't even factor in the creepy discord mod types reading the DMs of the girl streamers hoping to see some fun bags if they work at twitch. No wonder female streamers never get perm banned, even when they smash on cam.
You need to write Disney Star Wars with this much leaps in logic. Look. A Pedo case is a criminal case. Not reporting a pedo using your platform, when they're one of the faces of said platform, would land you in so much legal trouble they would name a University course after the fallout of that decision. Not to mention, if you as a corporation do everything in your power to jail a pedo, you will be in the public's good graces permanently. Why would they then protect a pedo, PAY HIM, and then act like nothing happened. You do realize that if Doc had a EDP moment, and it came out that twitch protected him, that their company would basically go under in a matter of weeks right?

Yeah
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Sounds just like the creator of rick and morty losing his show from twitter nerds saying 2 different accounts are the proof... this is crazy.
This is so bs. Some random user just drops accusations online and its the accused's job to prove their innocence. What the fuck?
1:00 he doesn’t say he didn’t do anything wrong. He says, “no wrongdoing was acknowledged.” Big difference.
Just cause dude used it doesn't mean it isn't true. Terrible people are all over the place and they often go after one another.
DrDisrespect might have to go back to court.
Yeah, if this were even slightly true then Twitch would have to contact police - not leak to randos on social media.
I thought there was some sort of legal obligation to report this sort of thing to law enforcement?
yeah there would be as they would be hiding evidence and you have to report it if its a minor and there proof so im calling bs
